Most of us by now have seen the lex fridman and sam altman podcast. In the podcast, sam seems to be pretty skeptical about how advanced gpt4 actually is. He's optimistic about the future and thinks that soon enough we will see an AGI, but he's saying gpt10 and beyond for AGI. All the while, microsoft is making claims that gpt4 has sparks of AGI in it. So who is right? The guy who is running the company who actually makes the AI, or a company who is simply investing in it? Same doesn't seem like the type to be needlessly skeptical, if anything, he seems like he's be overly optimistic about things. So if a guy like that is saying that gpt4 has a lot of limitations to it, then maybe microsoft is just trying to justify is huge investment into openai.

Now that you know my particularities and kinks, what do you recommend?

I post this in response to another user in the subreddit but I felt I should be posted on its own.
I am about to turn 27 having never been on a date or had sex with a girl, but I have made some big changes recently which I have a really good feeling about. I believe our biggest foe in this manner is ourselves, so what I suggest is to take a good, hard look at your life as if you were a girl judging your datability. It is something that I have done and a few times and it is what finally pushed me to quit video games a couple weeks ago. They are straight up addictive for me and it is probably the most important factor in my past singleness. If your fat, like I am currently, it will push you to change your diet and work out everyday (and you don't have to work out much - even doing something like 20 situps and 20 pushups everyday can change you drastically, especially if you combine it with healthy eating - I have done this before and managed to loose about 15 pounds in about 2 months), and if you still live with your parents like I do, it will push you to work hard to become self-sufficient and move out. I will also say to try to find a hobby that will make you stand out from the crowd, for me, that is being a reenactor. I had to learn how to sleep on the ground in a dog tent and it has made me a better person. Combine these things together successfully and it will naturally increase your confidence, and if shyness is your problem it will help you overcome that. My confidence has gone way up ever since I quit gaming and I have found myself talking to more men and women than I had in the past.
You could also do what you can to learn about human relationships and work on improving your knowledge how they work, then use that knowledge to help yourself get out of the hole of perpetual singleness. I took a interpersonal communications class in college and it helped quite a bit, and if your situation is really bad it might be something to seriously consider. There are also many videos and podcasts on the internet discussing human sexuality. Lex Fridman did a few videos/podcasts about this recently. There is also a YouTube channel called HealthyGamerGG. This video by him about adult virgins has helped me. There is also a book called "How Not To Die Alone," by Logan Ury, a Harvard-trained behavioral scientist and phycologist who wrote a book about how to find love in the modern world. One fact from the book that stuck out for me is that dating is actually harder now than ever before, which puts our struggles in perspective. Learning about these things could be tedious depending on your disposition, but I am a Ravenclaw so I like learning anyways. "Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure," so I say use it to your full advantage.
