Last night I (25nb) had a fight with my boyfriend (30m) and it led to me having a massive meltdown. I'm fairly low support and don't often have bad meltdowns even if I'm arguing with someone so I'm just extremely embarrassed. A painting fell off the wall and smashed the corner of the table it fell onto very visibly, and the edges of the frame are dented. We just moved into a new apartment building and are in the middle of 12 units, people are already giving me side eye and I want to disappear into the earth.
A friend picked me up and we went out to dinner, then mini golf so I could be out of the house a while, and then I talked with my partner when I got home. Things are okay now but I didn't get to bed until like 1am and I feel like a zombie today.

I am writing this with tears in my eyes as I have just lost the dearest thing in my life. She was just 4 months old, a beautiful mini dachshund that was not meant to live and passed away too fast.
I've always liked dogs but I hadn't thought of getting one before living in a big house with a yard. My girlfriend managed to change my mind about this and she convinced me to get a dachshund, and 1.5 months ago we stumbled online upon the most beautiful little creature and decided to bring her home. She immediately showed us so much affection and we responded by giving her all the love we had. We live in an apartment so we took her to the park multiple times a week, we walked her at least 6 times a day and played with her the whole day through. We were so motivated to do things right that we even followed a training course for little dogs and she already knew many tricks for her young age.
Four days ago, the wineries in our region opened their doors to everyone for wine tasting and it was a beautiful day along the lake so we took her with us. There are obviously a lot of vineyards so we were extremely careful to not let her go near the grapes. It was quite hot, around 24°C so we made sure to do plenty of breaks where our little baby could nap and drink water to hydrate. We were so careful. Later that day we sat outside at a bar, and we could feel our dog pull the leash. When we looked we saw that she was sniffing or licking some sort of vomit on the floor that we hadn't seen because the color of it was similar to the grass beneath it. We immediately changed table and our little baby fell asleep on my lap. A little bit later she woke up and puked on my shirt, we thought it was funny at the moment and that she must have eaten something that upset her tummy, probably the vomit which came from another dog. On the walk back home she was completely fine, wagging her tail and sniffing everything with her little snout as she usually did. We put her in her crate, kissed her goodnight and went to sleep.
The next day we woke up to her vomiting and being very lethargic. She didn't jump out of her crate like she usually did to greet us and lick our faces, she wasn't hungry while she usually destroys her meals in a few seconds and she didn't want to walk outside. She also randomly screamed in pain for a very brief moment here and there. We immediately called an emergency vet to come home because our usual clinic was closed for a national holiday. He came fast and examined her thoroughly, after which he concluded that it must be an acute gastritis, and provided some meds to make her feel better. However, our baby did not improve. She continued puking and screaming in pain after the vet left and we were already crying by then. We called the vet again and he came back, checked her thoroughly a second time by running an echograph and gave her an antispasmodic to stop the sharp pain. He still thought that it was a gastritis, and she would likely feel better very quickly, in a day or so. The antispasmodic made appeased her, she was still very lethargic but stopped having sharp pains so we were hopeful she would go back to jumping and running in no time.
Unfortunately, we woke up to her vomiting again. She hadn't eaten and barely drank for a day now, so I brought her to the emergency vet as soon as I woke up. They took her in very quickly to run an x-ray and other tests, and the doctor told me that she could have eaten something that stayed inside her in which case they would need to operate. Regardless, they kept her, and would call to give more information after getting the lab results. Not even an hour later, I was shopping groceries and I received the dreadful call. Her Potassium levels were way too high, the doctor was suspecting kidney failure and told me that she might need dialysis very quickly. There were two clinics that had the medical equipment necessary for this, one was 1 hour away but would be extremely expensive (~10k) and the other was 2.5 hours away and would be about half the price if not less. We are not rich by any means but to save our baby we would have paid the price... I asked her if the 1.5 hours extra would lower the chance of survival of our baby and she said no, so we decided to go with the second option. I called my girlfriend sobbing and she came home right away, after which we left for the clinic... When we arrived there, they told us to wait, which made me so mad because they told us to be there by a certain hour which we did. However when our little baby, which was so tired and fragile by now, started vomiting again, they took her in right away. The vet told her that because our dog is so small and weak they would not start with the dialysis right away and will try to lower the potassium levels by other agressive treatments. She also said that the puppy was in a very bad state and her survival is not guaranteed. We broke down crying. My girlfriend called them at 11:00... the Potassium levels were back up, they didn't manage to stabilize them. They realized that a dialysis might not be needed because there were other factors that would point to other diseases such as her increased hormone levels. They didn't know what was causing our baby to be like this... they had no idea. They called again twice in the following hour to tell us that her health deteriorated and she was now under assistance to breathe. We decided to leave and go see her right then and there... Once we got here after the 2.5 hour drive, our legs were shaking. We did not want to face the situation, we had cried the whole way and could not stop having horrible thoughts. The vet took us in and calmly explained to us that our baby's brain had been damaged irreparably due to an acute reaction to the anesthesia they gave her. She said it would have happened either way, anesthesia or not. The dialysis would likely kill her now and would probably not even solve the problem, because they could not find the cause. The doctor said that they had never seen a case like this, for a dog's health to degrade so fast and aggressively, they even put their whole team to brainstorm on possible diseases that would act this way to no avail. We were told that the most probable thing was a disease, possibly autoimmune, that she carried inside her and was maybe triggered by a gastritis. They said she was not suffering although I don't know if that was just to make us feel better. I fell on the floor crying. I could not believe this was happening to our baby. We took her in at 10 weeks, she was just 4 months old, we didn't even have her for the biggest part of her life and yet we felt like she had been with us for an eternity. I had never loved and cared for another being quite like I did for her. I spent all my days with her, she was the only thing making me feel less alone while I stayed home looking for a job. She was our everything. And she was dying.
They let us see her. She had cables everywhere. She was in a coma, her eyes were half-open and had a viscous liquid in them. Her tongue was sticking out from the side. She looked dead and she wasn't even being sedated. That image keeps replaying in my head over and over. Four days ago, the wineries in our region opened their doors to everyone for wine tasting and it was a beautiful day along the lake so we took her with us. There are obviously a lot of vineyards so we were extremely careful to not let her go near the grapes. It was quite hot, around 24°C so we made sure to do plenty of breaks where our little baby could nap and drink water to hydrate. We were so careful. Later that day we sat outside at a bar, and we could feel our dog pull the leash. When we looked we saw that she was sniffing or licking some sort of vomit on the floor that we hadn't seen because the color of it was similar to the grass beneath it. We immediately changed table and our little baby fell asleep on my lap. A little bit later she woke up and puked on my shirt, we thought it was funny at the moment and that she must have eaten something that upset her tummy, probably the vomit which came from another dog. On the walk back home she was completely fine, wagging her tail and sniffing everything with her little snout as she usually did. We put her in her crate, kissed her goodnight and went to sleep.
The next day we woke up to her vomiting and being very lethargic. She didn't jump out of her crate like she usually did to greet us and lick our faces, she wasn't hungry while she usually destroys her meals in a few seconds and she didn't want to walk outside. She also randomly screamed in pain for a very brief moment here and there. We immediately called an emergency vet to come home because our usual clinic was closed for a national holiday. He came fast and examined her thoroughly, after which he concluded that it must be an acute gastritis, and provided some meds to make her feel better. However, our baby did not improve. She continued puking and screaming in pain after the vet left and we were already crying by then. We called the vet again and he came back, checked her thoroughly a second time by running an echograph and gave her an antispasmodic to stop the sharp pain. He still thought that it was a gastritis, and she would likely feel better very quickly, in a day or so. The antispasmodic made appeased her, she was still very lethargic but stopped having sharp pains so we were hopeful she would go back to jumping and running in no time.
Unfortunately, we woke up to her vomiting again. She hadn't eaten and barely drank for a day now, so I brought her to the emergency vet as soon as I woke up. They took her in very quickly to run an x-ray and other tests, and the doctor told me that she could have eaten something that stayed inside her in which case they would need to operate. Regardless, they kept her, and would call to give more information after getting the lab results. Not even an hour later, I was shopping groceries and I received the dreadful call. Her Potassium levels were way too high, the doctor was suspecting kidney failure and told me that she might need dialysis very quickly. There were two clinics that had the medical equipment necessary for this, one was 1 hour away but would be extremely expensive (~10k) and the other was 2.5 hours away and would be about half the price if not less. We are not rich by any means but to save our baby we would have paid the price... I asked her if the 1.5 hours extra would lower the chance of survival of our baby and she said no, so we decided to go with the second option. I called my girlfriend sobbing and she came home right away, after which we left for the clinic... When we arrived there, they told us to wait, which made me so mad because they told us to be there by a certain hour which we did. There's been much talk about BL's potential as a driver of tourism. And it's evident, as some of you have shared your stories here in this sub, while others have asked for help planning upcoming trips. But there still appears to be a lack of easily accessible information for people visiting Thailand for the BL. Here's an attempt to remedy that, with this guide to visiting Thailand for BL fans. I've taken the liberty to incorporate suggestions from several previous threads here, as well as various other sources, so thank you to everyone who's contributed to the discussion.

First things first

This will only touch on things specifically of interest to BL fans. For the other aspects of your trip, including most basic planning stuff, please consult the usual travel resources.
That said, firstly you'll want to consider the purpose of your trip, and how much of it you want to dedicate to BL stuff. Do you just want a regular vacation, with a side stop for some merch, or are you here to relive the all the scenes from your favourite BLs? It's very possible to come up with a weeks-long itinerary of nothing but BL locations, and you could spend as much time mall-hopping to catch artist appearances, but Thailand also has a lot of other things to experience, whether you want to stick to the major attractions or go off the beaten track. It's all up to you.
Also, this probably goes without saying, but if you want to attend a specific event, be sure to plan around it and make travel arrangements accordingly. Concerts and fan meetings usually have tickets go on sale a couple of months in advance at most, so you'll want to have flexible options if you book your travel and accommodation before then.

Destinations

Most of the BL-related things you can do will be concentrated in Bangkok, so it's where this guide will be mainly focused, but there are also several provincial locations that have featured in BL, especially Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai in the north and Phuket in the south, all of which are major tourist destinations in their own right. Series have also spent time at plenty of beaches and resorts (particularly around Hua Hin and several towns in Chonburi province) as well as other popular excursions, most of which are short trips from Bangkok. Further out are the island resorts of Koh Samet, Koh Tao and Koh Lanta. The north-east Isan locations are rather off the tourist trail, but could well be worth the experience if that's your style of travel.

Getting immersed

Arriving in Bangkok, one of the first things you'll notice as a fan of Thai BL (or Thai dramas in general) is that you're surrounded by familiar faces everywhere, on banners and billboards and the back of tuk-tuks. Although BL actors aren't that well known among the general public (a surprise to some), the better known ones have a ton of brand endorsements and appear in ads for all sorts of products. Even if you're not planning your trip around BL, spotting actors you know in ads and fan projects can be an entertaining pastime.
Head into a 7-Eleven and you're pretty much guaranteed to see faces you recognize, perhaps on products you're already familiar with from all those series sponsorships and product placements. If the advertising worked and you're dying to know what that bottled green tea or that seaweed snack tastes like, this is your chance to give them a try.
Speaking of tasting, you'll probably be sampling plenty of Thai food while here, so why not include some of the food and drink items from the series you remember, be it som tam from What Zabb Man, the traditional desserts from UWMA, or the famous pink milk, known here as nom yen?
Meanwhile, if taking public transport, spend some time watching the people and see how BL imitates real life. Do you recognize the colours of the school uniforms? Or the university students in their white shirts and black slacks? You might even come across some engineering students in their workshop overshirts.
If you miss hearing the Raikantopeni disclaimer at the beginning of shows, be sure to turn on the TV to catch it as they air live. Be aware though that following shows in Thailand will be more difficult than at home, as they won't have subtitles on TV or on most local streaming services, so you'll likely need a VPN.

Merch stores & fan hangouts

This might be a bit of a letdown, but apart from GMMTV's, there aren't really any physical stores for official merchandise. But since you'll be in the country, you could check with your accommodation to see if they can arrange to accept local package deliveries for you, so you can place some online orders and avoid the international shipping fees. Be sure to check the processing and delivery times - this might be tricky (and won't work with pre-orders, only in-stock items).
GMMTV's shop is not a traditional giftshop as one might assume, but more like a kiosk at their office on the 30th floor of the GMM Grammy Place building - there's just a small product display and a cashier window. Apart from buying products, there's a good chance of running into some actors when visiting, though you're not allowed to linger and there's nowhere to hang out apart from some cafés on the ground floor. You will likely spot some fan-project displays (as mentioned above) outside and in the building, and the cafés will often have cup-sleeve giveaways by fans. Elsewhere, there's Wab Cafe' and Friends, by the Studio Wabi Sabi people. It's a café, so you'll be buying drinks there rather than merch, but it's very much a space created for fans, and there will often be something going on like fan projects and giveaways, or maybe mini-events with actors making an appearance. It's in RCA, Bangkok's main clubbing neighbourhood (and home to studios where many productions hold their workshops), which takes a bit of an effort to get to, but it's also probably the most dedicated hangout space for BL fans there is.
From Star Hunter, there's Hunter Village, a studio space (mostly used for dance classes) in MBK Center, one of Bangkok's most popular malls. It's a mostly open space, so you'll be able to see if there's someone coming in or something going on, but I'm not sure if it's really somewhere you can hang out at.
Other than that, quite a few actors have their own cafés or some other business, which you might want to visit to support them directly. Clothing and fashion items (perhaps from brands with your faves as presenters) may also be something you'd want to go shopping for.
For manga and anime (including BL/yaoi) there's an Animate store (the specialty chain from Japan), also at MBK Center. In addition to imported works, they also have an extensive Thai section, with both translated and original works.
If you want to observe the Thai novel scene, just walk into any major Thai book store, where you'll likely find rows, maybe entire shelves, of BL novels, prominently displayed - BL has very much gone mainstream in the Thai publishing industry. You'll also find glossy magazines featuring actor photoshoots here. You'll have less luck finding English translations, though, as most translated works are e-book only. For English-language (and Japanese) books in general, your best bet is Books Kinokuniya. They do have Japanese and Chinese translations of some Thai BL novels, as well as the English manga versions of SOTUS and Manner of Death, at international prices.

Catching events

Seeing actors up close (or at a distance) in real life will probably be the BL highlight of your trip for many of you. And unless you're ultra specific as to whom you want to see, there are ample opportunities to catch these actor appearances.
The biggest experiences will of course be the major events - concerts, fan meetings, and the like - that you'll have to buy tickets for. As mentioned above, you'll have to plan around them if you want to attend (which also limits how long you can plan in advance), and make sure to actually get those tickets. They're usually announced very publicly, so it's hard to miss them if you follow the usual news update channels. If you're around when one takes place but can't attend, it can still be worth dropping by if you want to get hold of the merch or just check out the crowds.
For more casual fans, you'll still have plenty of chance to see actors at smaller events, as there's pretty much always something happening somewhere, though there might not be much choice on who you get to see. These events vary a lot in scale, and can be anything from product launches to movie premieres. Most artist's agencies will announce them on their social media channels, usually on a weekly basis, and fan accounts may help share and/or translate them. You'll have to follow them to keep updated.
Most of these events will be held in Bangkok's plethora of malls. The biggest ones are mostly lined along the BTS Skytrain's Sukhumvit Line, so if you plan to do a lot of mall-hopping, whether for events or just shopping, consider getting accommodation with easy access to the BTS for convenience. Those who're aiming for them probably won't need this guide anyway.)
Aside from these specific events, there are also annual book fairs that are partially or directly BL-related, where actors from various agencies may make appearances. The mainstream National Book Fair and Book Expo are usually held at the beginning of April and some time in October. Since last year, BL novels and publishers have had a large presence there, and GMMTV actors made daily appearances with fan gatherings in the car park. There are also smaller book fairs directly focusing on BL: Y Book Fair in July, and International Novel Festival at the end of November. They also feature actor appearances, but can also be worth seeing just for the atmosphere if you're interested in experiencing the literary BL scene here.
On the other hand, to experience more of the community side of the fandom, you might want to check out some fan-held events, such as the birthday projects that fan clubs often do, which may be in the form of café galleries or mini-gatherings. Info will mostly be on Twitter, though it may not be readily translated.

Visiting filming locations

If BL inspired you to make the trip to Thailand, no doubt you'd be interested in visiting some of the filming locations yourself. But while some of them are traditional tourist attractions in their own right, most aren't normally on the radar for general visitors, so it'll take a bit of investment (in time and travel) to include them in your trip.
If there's a single most iconic location to recommend, it must be the Rama VIII Bridge over the Chao Phraya River, which shows up in more BLs than anywhere else. So far, it's been seen in SOTUS, SOTUS S, Gen Y, Tonhon Chonlatee, I Promised You the Moon, My Ride, Enchanté, Cutie Pie, KinnPorsche, Even Sun, 2 Moons: The Ambassador, and Boyband. It's not really a tourist attraction, but it's a major landmark of modern Bangkok that everyone knows, and isn't too hard to get to. It's a bit of a walk (some 15 minutes, or just take a tuk-tuk) from either the Phra Athit or Thewet Pier if you're coming from the main riverside attractions and use the Chao Phraya Express (or Tourist) Boat. If you're into financial history, the Bank of Thailand Learning Center and museum is right next to the bridge. Otherwise, Suan Luang Rama VIII Park by its base is also nice, and also a filming location. The bridge itself is most photogenic at night, but make sure you have transport back if you stay late. Consider one of those dinner cruises if you want to experience it from the same angles as KinnPorsche and Cutie Pie.
For other locations, you'll need to do some research. If there's a specific series you want to follow, try searching to see if someone has already compiled a list of locations, which is likely the case for the more popular series. Most info will be on Tumblr or Twitter.
Filming locations may be public places, shops and businesses, private establishments, or purpose-built or converted studios, so remember to think of their ability to welcome visitors. Dress appropriately for the venue, take care to respect their regular functions, and be considerate to other people. Some of the most familiar locations are university campuses, and the grounds will generally be open to the public, but they're not usually equipped to deal with large numbers of visitors. So if you do visit, have fun reliving those memorable scenes but make sure not to disturb the real students who are there for class. Meanwhile, cafés, bars and restaurants would surely welcome your patronage, but please do not snoop around private offices or people's homes. It all boils down to following common sense, really.
A lot of the locations will be quite spread out and some distance away from downtown, so you'll have to plan carefully if you want to hit more than a few. You might want to hire transport for the day, but also take the traffic into consideration.
If you've always wanted to sleep in the same room that your favourite characters lived in (or at least an identical one), you might be in luck. Some of the apartment locations may have rooms available for daily renting, so check with them. As above, though, their location can be rather inconvenient transport-wise. On the other hand, you might want to opt for the hotels and resorts that featured as locations, which will be better equipped with tourist facilities.
For houses specifically, I have a post on The houses of Thai BL. Most of them are private property rented out as studios, but some will be happy to accept visitors (for a fee) on their off days. Contact their management to see if a something can be arranged. Or if you're serious about it and ready to pay, just rent the place at full price for your own personal photoshoot. If you try it either way, do let us know how it turns out. On the other hand, Wawa House (To Sir, With Love) has a café for visitors, Slōlē (Golden Blood, Bite Me, Enchanté, The Tuxedo, The Eclipse) is a real-life café when not filming, and Red Brick Kitchen (Not Me, KinnPorsche, War of Y) features a chef's table dining experience (reservations only, 4 persons minimum).

Laya’s Horizon is a fantastic 3D adventure flying game where we explore a large island, participate in mini-games, and complete quests – all by gliding from mountaintops using the cape on our back.
Starting at the top of a mountain, we tap to launch ourselves into a glide across a completely open game world. Scattered across the island are NPCs with quests or mini-games, airstreams that provide an uplift so we can glide further, and lots of hidden secrets.
The mini-games range from flying under bridges or close to threes without hitting any obstacles, to racing against NPC gliders. Bust most importantly, gliding around the island just feels amazing – especially when going fast. Although the core gameplay is different, it has a bit of that same feel as flying in “Sky: Children of the Light”.
Despite the many challenging quests, however, the gameplay feels more like a relaxing free-roam experience than something you’re meant to complete as fast as possible.
A few hours into the game, we also discover new mountain tops to launch from, and better capes with different advantages, which allows us to reach new areas of the map.
Laya’s Horizon is made by the developers of Alto’s Adventure, which shows in the game’s atmospheric art style and overall feel. Combined with the music, it creates a highly immersive experience.
The controls may seem daunting at first, but I quickly got the hang of them, and after an hour or two, they start to feel natural.
The biggest downside is that the game requires a beefy phone to run properly. Hopefully, it also expands with more islands down the road.
Laya’s Horizon is a premium game that can only be played with a Netflix subscription. If you already have Netflix, it’s a must-try for anyone fond of casual adventure games.
NOTE: if you don't have Netflix, it's not worth buying the subscription if you only plan on playing Laya’s Horizon.

Where's Samantha? [Total Game Size: 310 MB] (Free)

Where's Samantha? is a beautiful and clever physics-based puzzle platformer that tells a romantic story of two living pieces of fabric who brave increasingly dangerous challenges in order to eventually reunite.
The game takes place in a surreal and colorful textile world full of gaps, springs, levers, buttons, gates, moving platforms, and other interactive objects. There are also plenty of dangerous traps that we need to overcome, including spike pits, rotating saw blades, shooting cannons, and even laser turrets.
Starting as an easy "walk in the park", the game gradually turns into a deadly obstacle course that requires some serious platforming skills to survive.
Throughout our journey, we can make use of an unusual gameplay mechanic that allows our character to split into two, or even three separate pieces of fabric that we can then operate independently. This enables us to solve complex puzzles that involve interacting with multiple remote objects simultaneously.
What’s more, our weight and physics change when splitting up, which means we can apply a large force to doors and platforms when playing as a single character, or split up so we can jump higher to get over obstacles.
What I like the most about the game is its amazing visual style, where every item we see and interact with is hand-drawn to resemble a real-world physical object. Add to this the game’s atmospheric music, crisp sound effects, responsive controls, fluid animations, and an absolutely amazing voice-over narration by an award-winning actor – and you have yourself one of the most aesthetically pleasing experiences you can hope for from a mobile game.
Where's Samantha? shows occasional ads, with a $0.99 to disable them and a $3.99 iAP to unlock the full game.
It's rare to find such a high-quality game on mobile, so if you enjoy puzzles and platformers, I can easily recommend checking it out.

Retro City Rampage DX [Game Size: 29 MB] ($4.99)

Retro City Rampage DX is an old-school racing and shooting arcade game that draws heavy inspiration from the famous Grand Theft Auto series. It features lots of pixelated violence, energetic 8-bit soundtracks, hectic action, and tons of references to movies and video games of the past.
Playing as a henchman for a powerful crime lord who is robbing yet another bank, we quickly find ourselves dragged into a dangerous cascade of events that only get weirder when time-traveling and other ridiculous sci-fi elements get introduced.
I personally stopped paying attention to the story after a while, as it mostly served as a background for all the crazy events taking place, and as an excuse to reference endless iconic characters from popular franchises.
Just like in GTA, there’s a lot happening very quickly - shooting, racing, fighting, stealing vehicles, robbing banks, chasing the police, participating in minigames, and much much more. The game doesn’t restrict itself to a specific genre, instead just mashing together various elements from all the retro hits of the past. And it somehow actually works.
If we get bored by the fast-paced story mode, we can freely roam the city to do whatever we want, or hone our skills in various arcade challenges.
Unfortunately, this mobile port of the game isn’t perfect. Everything looks too tiny on small screens, and the touch controls aren’t comfortable when we need to react ultra-quickly. So it’s highly recommended to use a Bluetooth controller.
Retro City Rampage DX is a premium game that costs $4.99 on iOS. It’s a great tribute to the classic games of the past, and it succeeds at inducing a deep level of nostalgia while providing the exact type of highly entertaining gameplay experience seasoned gamers grew up with.

Pickle Pete: Survivor [Game Size: 248 MB] (Free)

Genre: Arcade / Bullet-Hell - Offline

Pickle Pete is a reverse bullet-hell roguelike that combines the over-the-top chaotic gameplay of Brotato with the permanent character progression of Archero for a surprisingly fun gameplay experience.
The objective is to survive 10 time-limited waves of enemy attacks, return home, and then continue to the next chapter. During each wave, we control our pickle character with a large joystick while it auto-shoots at any enemies in range.
After every wave, we get to first pick one of three random stat-boosts if we leveled up during the wave, and then spend the pickles we’ve collected on buying weapons and items. Just like in Brotato, we can equip six weapons at a time, which quickly makes the gameplay chaotically fun.
If we get two of the same item, we can even merge them to increase the rarity, which makes it a lot stronger. I found the weapons to be decently diverse, and it’s entertaining to experiment with everything from snipers to magic wands, anvils, turrets, and drones.
After defeating the boss in wave 10, we receive gold and permanent items. In-between runs, we equip and upgrade these items to grow stronger, and buy stat boosts. All this permanent progression makes the game feel slightly more rewarding than Brotato.
Playing normal runs requires energy that we eventually run out of. Thankfully, the game also features a daily mission game mode, a competitive endless mode, and several challenge modes that are almost entire games on their own. Most of these don’t require any energy.
The art and animations are silly but neat, and I found it particularly nice that we can see where an enemy is about to spawn.
Pickle Pete monetizes via incentivized ads to revive, receive extra gold, or refresh the shop. There are also iAPs for items and a paid battle pass, but none of this is needed to progress at a decent pace.

Nanuleu is an area control real-time strategy game where we expand our territory, accumulate resources, and place defenses to repel the enemy onslaught until we can launch an effective counterattack.
We play on a randomly generated square grid where certain tiles contain valuable resource deposits such as minerals and water. Starting at the center, we spend resources to build various nodes adjacent to the tiles we already occupy.
Cheap root nodes serve as roads that expand our network, while more expensive extractors can only be placed on deposit tiles to increase resource production. Our objective is to reach several distant tiles on the map and build special nodes there.
As time goes by, enemy camps start to appear in the corners of the map. These spawn troops that attack our nodes, and to oppose them, we must place defense towers that fire projectiles. Once we occupy all the special tiles, we get access to our own troop factories so we can produce units that destroy the enemy spawns. Getting rid of all the enemies is the ultimate goal of the game.
The strategy revolves around carefully balancing our expansion and resource production while racing against the ever-growing enemy forces. If we fail to occupy the deposits, we may not be able to produce enough towers in time, but a larger territory is also harder to control and requires more resources for towers. I found this balancing to be quite challenging and unforgiving, which highly contrasts the game's seemingly casual art style.
Nanuleu is a $2.99 premium game without ads or iAPs. Despite being rather simple and repetitive, it still provides an entertaining and unique experience for fans of real-time strategy and tower defense games.

I’m so excited for this upcoming week long beach trip later this month with my husband’s family! I’m trying to prepare for the all the potential scenarios that I’ll be in during pump times like being out on the beach, walking around the boardwalk shops, out to dinner, mini golf or other outdoor activities that my nieces and nephews enjoy. I currently have a bag (more like a padded box) for my Elvies that fits them and 2 bottles of milk with an ice pack that I would carry separately if I knew I was going to be out, as it’s too big to fit in the diaper bag. For the beach trip I’m planning on splurging a little and getting a ceres chill, so I won’t need the bag to be big enough for bottles too. Was hoping someone has found a case of some sort that will fit in diaper bag for Elvie OG? Thanks! 😎
