Anaheim convention center to disneyland

I am graduating in May and I accepted a position in the ED of a Level 1 Trauma Center (EXACTLY what I wanted) I am the only student I know of so far to have been offered the position and I understand it is competitive. However, many nurses keep stating that it is not good to start out in the Emergency Dept. - let alone a Level 1 trauma center...
Is there any merit to this?
How common is it for New Grad nurses to get positions in a "Level 1 Trauma center" Emergency Department?

As of recently i've come to a realization how broken my life is how much i'm hated and how much i'm just generally disliked.
I've never been a talkative person, In school i've always been someone who was known by everyone but never "liked". I want to show case the main instances i've noticed people just don't care.
Family: a little background i'm the second of five boys and parents have always been together.
starting from when I was 12 my father always told me I was worthless piece of shit regardless of trying to live up to his standards. I started playing American football because of him, I loved football and I was good at it, I always started, never had a backup or was taken out of the game. our team was centered around me, but my father always told me I was terrible and I should give up at football I was yelled at after every practice or game by my father telling me i should give up and play basketball.
My mother Has never believed in me constantly calling me dumb in a passive aggressive way even though all my teachers have called me Genius, Idk if IQ is a real testament to intelligence but i have a 134 iq and had an act score of 34. despite iq or act score my mother would always make sure i had the lowest classes in each subject because she thought I couldn't handle the "tough" classes even though my teachers would nearly beg her to put me in them.
there came a point when i had a muscle injury that took me out of sports, and later on a head related injury that caused temporary amnesia and other issues. my parents thought i was faking even after being there with me in the hospital and doctor offices, the doctors always said there were ways to help and that i could get near to the point i used to be all these were turned down.
My brothers are the most neutral people towards me, but i think that's just because they feel pitty for me after seeing how my parents treat me compared to them. they were allowed to be in the higher classes even though they flunk half of them, they were always given the best treatment for any injuries they get no matter the cost. it's not as if we have no money we have plenty, but for some reason it's never really used on me in comparison (that feels greedy to type), but it's reality I paid for shoes, car, football, basketball, clothes. whereas all my brothers get everything they want. (you'd think i'm from a different family from my brothers) they look rich I look broke in the way we dress.
Friends: I've always been a very quiet person, not shy just quiet (i've always been told to only speak when spoken too). regardless of being quiet I was known throughout my schools and areas i've lived. i have had people who i have never spoken to dislike me but i asume thats normal, but not one of my friends i've ever had have stayed I would say I really never had a "best friend" i've thought i have but it wasn't really.
I've had plenty of people who i've felt very close to people i would consider brothers or sisters to me with how much I care about them, but i've come to the realization that they don't care about me. I recently had a huge moment in my life where I was asked to give a speech I invited everyone I knew who lived nearby to this(it's an event that is always attended by friends and family.(don't want to share the exact details as it would give too much personal info). No one showed, not a single person i knew was there people i would give everything for, but no one not even family. the people who asked me to speak even asked me if i invited anyone... that hurt, when I finally mustered the courage to ask why, no answer.. then i started noticing this is how it always was. graduations,rewards,acomplishments no one was ever there.
the more i look back the more it hurts because the more i notice. where do i go from here I've always stuggled with depression for various reasons but never for anything like this, i feel like i've wasted my life by trying when i never should have. like honestly what do i do.

We were on and off for a year, I told him I could not bear waiting on the sidelines for him anymore a month ago, yet I have been feeling so depressed:
he always prioritised his friends over me;
he was confused/did not know what he wanted;
he gaslighted me whenever I brought up I wanted him to prioritise me more;
he would make plans with his friends way in advance but was always hesitant to commit to plans with me too early;
he said he was trying to learn from his past mistakes and wanted to pace things/not rush into things (because he really liked me) but because of this I felt like he never let me in mentally/kept me at arm’s length;
he said he did not know whether he could prioritise me the way I wanted him to right now;
he was extremely selfish/self centered (most things were mostly by his terms: his schedule to meet up, whether he wanted to meet up or not, he ghosted me, he wanted a break etc.);
he made me felt unvalued, disposable, like a piece of rubbish, alone, insecure;
he would tell me he had taken my feelings into account / wanted another chance and things to be better but his actions did not match up;
he did do nice things for me, but very minimal.
Whereas -
I was always there for him even during the times he wanted a break to figure himself out, ghosted me etc.;
I would always accommodate his schedule as he had a much more time demanding job than I did;
I was always the one travelling to his flat (1.5 hours journey each way);
I was always available for him;
I had always treated him with kindness and respect despite everything that’d happened/how he made me felt.
I genuinely feel like he is out of my league (very good looking, earns really good money, good at sports, seems to have a lot of friends) and that I’m not good enough. All my friends said it’s the other way around (I’m much more attractive, I am empathetic, I am kind, money is not everything etc.). I have been in a lot of pain, he seems not to care at all.
I have deactivated all my social media accounts, I am scared to use Whatsapp (to see he hadn’t messaged me). Why am I so upset about losing someone who put me through such emotional turmoil? Have I put him on a pedestal?

Occasionally I’ll have a dream involving Jeopardy, and it happened again Monday night. This time it was a live on-location taping, but it was taking place at an absolutely massive venue. A warehouse-like building that could hold millions of people, and sure enough the place was packed with millions of people. There were even sections of the venue for different markets, including one for Canadians, which I went to hang out in. But the venue was so massive, you couldn’t see the stage, it was so far away. It felt like a religious pilgrimage or a massive convention, with millions of other Jeopardy fans.
The host was Alex Trebek himself, about the 1991 version - with mustache and still fairly dark hair. He was carrying a VHS tape along with a stack of papers when he came back in for Final Jeopardy, but instead of going to FJ he started chatting with the audience and delaying the game. Everyone was having a great time, it was like seeing the Pope.

What I'm trying to achieve:
When enemies die, they drop coins that fall onto the ground and bounce. After a moment, they move towards player and disappear upon reaching player.
How I'm implementing it:
Obviously I'm going to need particles. But then I ran into my first problem, coins need to collide with ground. I then found out that particles in 2D can only collide with light occluder so I add occlusion layer to my TileSet.

Side problem (not my main problem but I'll be glad if someone can help me with this too) 1: somehow the particles only collide one tile above if I cover the whole tile with occlusion layer. Is this the intended behaviour?

Side problem 2: As you can see in the video, the coins are still bouncing a bit despite stopping on the ground

Main problem: Now, I just need to make particles move towards player and disappear. My idea is to use a timer that when timeout, move the GPUParticles2D to the player's position, then make the particles move towards the center (which is now player's position) by modifying the material's properties. However, I'm not really good at particles and the docs aren't helping.
Side problem 3: Also, do I need to clone the material when modifying it in script?

Grand Theft Auto V is one of the most profitable entertainment franchises in the history of games. GTA V was such a runaway success—and GTA The Trilogy: Definitive Edition was such a dumpster fire—that Rockstar gave up working on a Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC, and has now reportedly abandoned plans to remaster more of its beloved older titles to instead focus on both further GTA Online content as well as the development of GTA 6.

Naturally, expectations for GTA 6 are incredibly high, and given the advanced age of GTA V, fans are chomping at the bit for any bit of news. That's why there's so much buzz around a report at Bloomberg that focuses on Rockstar's new corporate culture. Company co-founder Dan Houser left Rockstar in 2020, and ever since then the development house has been trying to reshape a corporate culture that the report refers to as being "like a frat house".
Given the nature and tone of the humor in the Grand Theft Auto series, it's really not surprising to hear that the atmosphere inside Rockstar was juvenile and chauvinistic. The report remarks that the workplace culture at Rockstar was "full of drinking, brawling, and excursions to strip clubs." That may sound like a good time to some, but it's admittedly not very professional.

As part of the report, author Jason Schreier casually reveals that GTA 6 will have at least two playable protagonists, and that one of them will be a Latina woman. This technically isn't the first playable woman nor even the first playable Hispanic woman in the GTA series; the very first GTA game featured a Latina named "Katie" as one of its eight playable characters.
Still, very few of the series' modern fans even remember the old DOS-based Grand Theft Auto, so we can forgive everyone for forgetting about poor Katie. Regardless, the new girl will apparently be part of a Bonnie-and-Clyde-like crime duo, calling to mind the partnership between Claude and Catalina in the beginning of Grand Theft Auto III. Hopefully the partnership between the new player characters in GTA 6 doesn't end the same way that one did.

In the episode where he pulls the lid off what appears to be an old abandoned septic tank from homestead 2, his dosemeter says he got hit with about 120 mrad (1.2 mGy). That doesn't even factor the 'absorbed' dose.
Then goes on to say that's like getting 20,000 full body xray scans at an airport. Even taking into account the time this was filmed, a full body xray at an aiprot on average releases about 0.1 mGy so to get 1.2 that would be 12 scans, not 20,000.
20,000 xrays at 0.1 mGy per scan would be about 2,000 mGy. At that scale, your survival time would be measured in days to weeks, not months to years. He wouldn't have made it to his first convention at best without looking like the Fly, or at worst an open casket.
Sorry for the rant, that just bugged me. But this show still very much has my interest and curiosity as to what's going on out there. I definitely suspect something geological, likely naturally occuring but just very unique to that area. Though past USGS studies of the region around the ranch have shown nothing really. Barring conspiracy theories if there was something, I doubt it's contained to the property line as deposits like that would likely extend far beyond.

Rule : All players will receive a bucket with a hole on bottom. there will be a pond fill with water in the center. and the objective is to fill it with water. If player haven't figure out how to fill it within the time limit, GAME OVER. else if 1 player figure it out how to fill the bucket with water, is GAME CLEAR for him/her and the rest DIE.
SOLUTION : player just have to let the bucket sink and let the water consume it.

Hi Community
Until yesterday I used the following setup and settings:
- G29 controlled by GHUB with my custom settings (50% center spring)
- iRacing (no FFB and no center spring settings - and in borderless window mode)
It worked perfectly for the last years. The only thing I had to do was after joining a session I had to reset the 50% center spring in GHUB (change to another value and back to 50%). Then in the game it got used from GHUB.
Now since Tuesday as soon as iRacing is the active window the settings are lost and I have no center spring anymore. Its active until I click into iRacing. Then its gone and seems to take the iRacing settings (no FFB and no center spring).
I checked the checkbox that GHUB will set the center spring and not the game (checkbox underneath the center spring strengh slider).
Was there a GHUB update this week that messes up this setting? There was no update from iRacing this week. It worked until Sunday without any problems.
I prefer the center spring from GHUB as it his easier managable and adjustable. Loosing this feature is a big gamechanger for me :(

Catch and release for me. If this was a lefty I'd keep this for life, it's that damn good. The action and acoustics on this knife are 🤌. Very satisfying. Condition is LNIB, never carried by previous owners or myself to my knowledge. This is an interesting configuration. It has a gold satin cracked iced ano on the fractal milled scales. Blade finish is a dark acid stone wash with satin flats. It's sporting the milled nito-v blade with (I believe) the factory mirror edge and wonderfully milled, gold ano'd thumb studs. Lock up is about 25-30%. Blade centered.

Hi redditors. I need a help regarding my father's new iPhone. If anyone can guide me or suggest me any solution, it would be very helpful. The incident is as follows:
My father bought an iPhone 14 Plus on Nov 5,2022 for around 90k. We bought it from a nearby authorised reseller (iSpace). Within 4 months of purchase, by first week of March, the battery swelled up fully and it was not usable. We gave it to nearest authorised Service center. Now after 3 weeks, they said that they can't repair or replace the handset because of a small dent on the phone. So, according to them, the 'dent' voids the warranty.
My father is very frustrated, with this service and is sad as he is nearing his retirement and finally bought an iPhone for himself after all these years of hardwork. And we feel that company's response doesn't make any sense as the dent is very small and is totally unrelated to the battery swelling issue, as the dent is near the ear piece area.
Is there anyway to work this around? Or any way we can get it replaced or get compensation? We have seriously lost trust in this company and don't want to get the Phone repaired if possible. Please suggest. Thank You!
