2023.03.29 08:33 Big-Act-9425 Replace Home Water Filter Cartridge and Drink Safe and Healthy Water

You are happy because you have installed a home water filter in your family. But you don't think that if you replace the water filter cartridge from time to time, you and your family may drink even worse water. Regularly change the water filter now so that you and your family can drink healthy and safe water.
  1. Reduce The Filtering Effect
The function of the home water filter cartridge is to filter out the pollutants in the raw water. After a period of use, a large amount of impurities such as sediment, rust and heavy metals are trapped on the surface of the filter element. The long-term adhesion will block the membrane pores, reduce the filtration effect and affect the effluent quality.
  1. The Filter Overload Work
Taking a household water purifier as an example, the front PP cotton, granular activated carbon, fine PP cotton, RO reverse osmosis membrane, and post-activated carbon five-stage filter are usually used for stepwise filtration. If the PP cotton and activated carbon filter are not replaced in time, It will cause more large particles of impurities to enter the RO membrane layer, resulting in overload operation of the RO membrane and reducing its service life.
  1. Causing Security Risks
Also, if the home water filter cartridge is not replaced, the pores of the membrane are blocked, and the water flow cannot pass normally, which may cause the filter bottle and the waterway to burst. In severe cases, water and electric shock may occur, which has to be taken seriously.
You need to know the water quality in your city and periodically change the home water filter cartridge according to your household's water usage.

2023.03.29 08:29 PhanStr Which members of the Team were public heroes?

Prior to joining the League and prior to the formation of the Outsiders, of course.
So that means that Superboy, Zatanna, Beast Boy, Robin (Tim), Wonder Girl, Blue Beetle, Kid Flash (Bart), Static, Geo-Force, Forager and Terra do not count because they only went public when they became Outsiders, or in Zatanna's case, when the joined the League.
The KNOWN young public heroes were, of course, Robin (Dick), Aqualad (Kaldur), Kid Flash (Wally), Speedy (Roy/Will) and Rocket.
The ones who are still operating covertly in season 4 are Miss Martian, Tigress, Arsenal, Arrowette, Spoiler, Thirteen, Halo, Orphan and Mist. Let's assume that none of them are public heroes. Of course, maybe Arsenal, Arrowette and Spoiler are public heroes since some members of the Bat-Family are known to the public... but let's assume they aren't.
That leaves Tempest, Aquagirl, Troia, Robin (Jason), Lieutenant Marvel, Sergeant Marvel, Batgirl/Oracle, Bumblebee, Lagoon Boy and Guardian (Mal).
Surprisingly, season 4 revealed that Sergeant Marvel was not a public hero, so we have to rule her out too, and it follows then that Lieutenant Marvel was also not a public hero.
I think it's a given that Guardian (Mal) and Robin (Jason) operated in the shadows.
With Batgirl, it's hard to say. I would like to think that she eventually became a public hero, prior to what happened at the U.N., but I would be interested to know other's thoughts on this...
I think it's unlikely that Tempest and Aquagirl were public heroes on land, but they might have been public defenders of Atlantis. Despite this, I feel like Lagoon Boy became a public hero and replaced Kaldur as Orin's sidekick pretty much straight away in Team Year Four. At that point, Kaldur had enough experience to be independent from Orin in the same way that Roy/Will had become wholly independent from Oliver.
I would like to think that Bumblebee went public as the Atom's protege, since they worked so well together in "True Colours" (season 2 episode 12). I mean, why not?
And likewise, I would like to think that Troia started off as Wonder Woman's protege in public and quickly earned the public's support and attention, before transitioning into politics a few years later. I like the idea that everyone might have already known her as Wonder Woman's crime-fighting partner. Not a sidekick, but more of a younger equal.

2023.03.29 08:28 agentmantis Removing smoke odors from merchandise before selling?

Hello group,
I was wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks to help remove the smell of cigarette smoke from electronics. I acquired a gaming console and I didn't detect it at first but after I'd had it in my car for a while, I noticed it. It's not super intense but I'd like to eliminate as much as possible before listing this item. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks

2023.03.29 08:25 Difficult_Blood74 I've been using the IINE tatacon for half a year

I've been using the IINE tatacon for half a year
This controller has been controversial for a really long time.
If you've watched Tokaku's video on it you're probably thinking it's a non-functional controller and I don't judge you for it since she's not a bad source of information. The thing is that she got a knock-off for sure.
I didn't buy one but two of them to play together with a friend and all I can say it's been great.
We've been using them in osu! playing 4 stars maps, in open taiko and in the Microsoft Store Taiko. The audio delay on PC is -39 to me. On Switch the delay is -17.
This might be a dealbreaker for you, but you have to disable hitsounds to play with this drum no doubt.
Another thing to point out is that if you want to use this controller on PC you have to configure some things in Windows. You have to go to control panel-> devices and printers and plug the controller. You'll see that it detects it as a Pro Controller for the Switch and if this happens, the controller won't work.
To fix it, right click the Windows key on the taskbar and click device manager. Once you're there go to Human Interface Devices (HID), then search for one that ends in game controller, right click it and disable it (if it ask you to restart it's not required).
Once you've done that, unplug and plug your drum, go to the control panel again, devices and printers and check if it says DS4 controller.
Now it will work as entended, I hope this guide helps someone in the future.
The reason why I'm talking about this controller in this reddit it's because many people don't have the HORI drum available in their country, and if they have it, it cost around 150$ no game included. The IINE controller isn't just cheaper (50$) but it's also bigger and better than the HORI stock.
In my experience, the rubber of the drum is a little hard at first but after a week of use it gets soft and detects all the notes no problem. It's not as sensitive as a touchscreen, that's why many people mod it.
If you've modded this Tatacon please let me know what you did!
The controller is loud and I highly recommend you to put a blanket under the drum. Be careful with your family and neighbors XD
I hope google search gives this reddit post a little justice to all of you who have doubts about this controller!
Feel free to ask me anything about it!

2023.03.29 08:24 Independent-Truck-83 Solar Panel Installation

Solar panel installation refers to the process of installing solar panels, which are devices that convert sunlight into electricity. Solar panel installation typically involves evaluating the property to determine the optimal location for the panels, designing a system that meets the energy needs of the property, selecting the equipment needed for the system, obtaining any necessary permits, and physically installing the panels and connecting them to the electrical grid.
Solar panel installation can be done on various types of properties, including homes, businesses, and public buildings. The installation process typically requires the expertise of a solar panel installer who is knowledgeable about the design and installation of solar panel systems. Once installed, solar panels can help property owners generate their own electricity, reduce their energy bills, and reduce their carbon footprint by using a renewable energy source.

Portable Pyrolysis Machine For Sale
Pyrolysis technology is now popular around the world as it helps recycle waste rubber products which will help prevent them from collecting in landfills. Waste tires are getting to be a difficulty worldwide because they get collected in landfills and take decades to decompose. Pyrolysis machines help convert waste rubber products into fuel oil and other profitable end-products including carbon black, steel wire, and biomass. Pyrolysis plants are large machines that cost thousands of dollars. Choosing a pyrolysis plant isn't an alternative for the majority of investors as a result of high value of the item. That is where portable pyrolysis machines be useful. This is why should you purchase a mobile pyrolysis unit available for sale.
Reactor of BLJ-16 Beston Tyre Pyrolysis Machine Installed in Azerbaijan in February 2023
Turning old tire waste into fuel oil to produce power has turned into a reality today with a portable pyrolysis plant. Pyrolysis is the method of chemically decomposing waste matter for example rubber tires and plastic using heat in the lack of oxygen. The portable unit is inexpensive and helps provide handsome profits over time towards the investor. A mobile plant may be driven to the positioning of the waste materials. Hence, it is ideal for regions where large pyrolysis plants can not be installed. The portable plant can be driven to any location which is challenging to reach by other methods.
If you think that a mobile plant is less efficient than a stationary pyrolysis plant, you are mistaken. Actually, the mobile unit is equally efficient within its performance. You won't find any difference in relation to efficiency and excellence of processing involving the stationary and portable units. But fitting every aspect of the pyrolysis plant onto a mobile platform isn't always easy. You will find hardly any manufacturers of portable pyrolysis plants due to this reason. There are numerous things to consider when investing in this unit. The business that manufactures the device needs to have plenty of skills and experience designing such units. Which is why you ought to take care when buying the best portable pyrolysis plant currently available.
BLJ-16 Beston Waste Tyre Pyrolysis Machine Installed in Azerbaijan in February 2023
Choosing the right portable pyrolysis plant in the marketplace requires extensive research on your part. Your research is vital to selecting the right unit at reasonable prices. A search on yahoo or other search engine will give you a list of manufacturers who design portable pyrolysis units. Many investors make the mistake of getting the very first product which they are offered across this kind of search. You should check the background and standing of each manufacturer when you purchase a portable pyrolysis unit. Or else, you will be squandering your hard-earned money on an unacceptable product. Reputation, experience, credentials, expertise, and customer feedback are some of the things to consider when making an investment in the ideal tyre recycling pyrolysis plant for sale.
If you are interested in the very best mobile pyrolysis plant available on the market, you have come to the correct place. The aforementioned article provides info on why you should select a portable pyrolysis machine available for sale.

2023.03.29 08:17 Dependent-Pay-8132 Androgen Deficiency on Birth Control fixed with DHEA?

I just posted this in the birthcontrol subreddit. Let me know if anyone here understands what I am trying to get at. Im sure this could be considered slightly “off topic,” but as far as im concerned, this is as related to TRT (for women) as an enclomiphene citrate question is for men. Please skip to the TLDR if the first half is too abstract for the non-medical-professional. Thanks!
Hey im a straight male who is very interested in sex hormone endocrinology. I have done a lot of consultations with other men on black market anabolic, androgenic steroid usage (roided up gym douchebags, yes I know).
My question today is if anyone was able to correct androgen (primarily testosterone and DHT) deficiency that is induced by hpoa/hpaa down-regulation from the exogenous ethyl estradiol and progestin used in combined oral birth control? Has anyone ever taken blood labs for total/free testosterone, DHEA, DHT, and SHBG before and after starting “the pill?” If my understanding is correct, all of those measurements should decrease after starting BC (which is in fact steroids by the way) except for the sex hormone binding globulin increasing, all (generally speaking) being very bad news for the patient. If you started BC and developed low sex drive, depressed mood, lack of motivation, and/or decreased physical performance in the gym, then you are likely inducing an androgen deficiency by taking outside steroids (once again BC is just two 17-carbon, 4-ringed steroid molecules just like testosterone). I will repeat this: IF YOU STARTED BC AND DEVELOPED LOW SEX DRIVE, DEPRESSED MOOD, LACK OF MOTIVATION, AND/OR DECREASED PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE IN THE GYM, THEN YOU ARE LIKELY SELF-INDUCING AN ANDROGEN DEFICIENCY.
My solution is to add in DHEA since it is the most upstream androgen and should convert to testosterone and therefore testosterone metabolites as well, even with the hpoa and hpaa suppression mentioned earlier. The reason DHEA would be the solution is because the body can take the right amount and turn it into testosterone/testosterone-metabolites, BUT (VERY BIG BUT HERE) the body wont allow too much to convert to testosterone and wont cause virilizing (manly) side effects because the body will sulfonate the excess and excrete it on a longer timeline since the sulfonated form has maybe 20-30x the half life, if i remember correctly.
TLDR: there are 3 types of sex hormones - progestogens (pregnenolone, progesterone, synthetic progestins in BC…), estrogens (estrone, estriol, regular and ethyl estradiol…), and androgens (DHEA, testosterone, DHT…) - and they are carried by SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin). Combined oral birth control shuts down the body’s production of all three of these but only replaces two of them, all while raising SHBG (which lowers the proportion of “free” hormone out of “total” hormone). Has anyone added DHEA to their combined oral birth control to fix this problem ??? Im not an expert on female sex hormone endocrinology, but this seems to be a lot safer to do at home since you shouldnt be taking too much androgen, and DHEA, by itself, is such a weak androgen that it is only the metabolites we care about in the body outside of the brain. Once again, the body usually knows how to metabolize it into the correct ratios of downstream androgenic hormones since it is a bio-identical hormone, unlike ethyl estradiol and synthetic progestins needed for birth control to prevent pregnancy. I think the safety of this therapy is shown through the fact that Testosterone is a schedule III narcotic in the USA, but DHEA is available over-the-counter for 9 year olds to buy (please dont give a 9 year old access to any of these medications).
My final point is that if you want to try this out relatively safely, i would highly suggest starting out by only using a very low dose of DHEA - maybe 5mg per day or less. For reference, the usual male replacement dose is between 25-50mg per day, but i have technically seen cisgender women on doses higher than that. However, normal female replacement dosages are maybe somewhere closer to 15mg per day. My recommendations for OTC brands are pure encapsulations or life extensions.
Please consult a physician before doing any of this. I highly doubt this is likely, but there is a realm-of-possibility chance that my method will make your combined oral BC less effective. Your doc will likely give the green light for trying this if you are interested (until you tell them that you heard this from a roided-up douche on the internet lol). Legally speaking, this is general medical information, not specific medical advice! Any thoughts from anyone will be much appreciated.

A complicated guide to building the Emesh / giveaway announcement

https://preview.redd.it/dc25vymebmqa1.jpg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bb57f4be91bee97be84b5c3fe695793dd24c3360
In this guide, I'm going to walk you through how to build the Emesh from start to finish. This was originally built by the one and only Minty love. His youtube channel is absolutely packed with great information regarding DMT and how to consume it as well as troubleshooting Teks. He also has his new website up called Mintylove.com which is packed with a ton of information on various vape builds, carts, and more. It's a library of content You won't be disappointed in! Unfortunately, his Reddit account is gone so in honor of him and the remarkable device that he shared with us all, I'm going to teach you how to build it and where I've found the parts to build it. The parts for the Emesh are very hard to find. I can't guarantee that the parts linked in this write-up will be in stock. However, if you feel like embarking on a quest and seeing what's available in your local area, this guide will explain everything you need. This device is hands down my favorite way to enjoy spice. It's compact, efficient, and very easy to use, especially when you're leaving your body behind.
Since the Emesh allows you to ingest your desired dose in one very smooth hit, it's a great way to conserve and get the most out of your spice while achieving that breakthrough experience every time! With all due respect to the great Terrence McKenna, 3 big tokes are a thing of the past and I'm sure he would have loved to get his hands on one of these.
The Emesh allows you to break through in one hit on surprisingly small doses which means your extraction yields go a lot further. Altogether this setup will on average cost about 100 USD depending on your local prices, taxes, and shipping costs. It's not the cheapest option on the market but I assure you it's worth every penny if you can find the parts. If you're looking for the best way to ingest your precious spice and finally get that breakthrough, you found it! There is absolutely nothing like it! I get asked all the time what the best way is to enjoy spice and, in my opinion, the Emesh leaves all other methods at the starting line.
In this guide, we are going to build it from the bottom up. I'm going to provide links to every single piece needed for this build as well as pictures and alternative options in case availability is an issue. Thanks for all your support and I hope this write-up brings you value.
GIVEAWAY ANNOUNCEMENT! Upon the release of this post, members of dmtguide will have their chance to win one of the 4 brand-new mesh RDA's I have been sitting on for this occasion. I have 4 of the extremely scarce Mesh RDA's that I will be giving out to 4 lucky members along with a few extra goodies from myself. Over the years I have been Honored to be a part of such an amazing community. All the support and love I have received from you guys and gals has been nothing less than amazing. This giveaway is going to mark the first of many giveaways that I'll be doing.
you can find a link to enter the giveaway in the comments or head over to my profile and all the details will be in a post pinned to the top of my profile titled "Emesh RDA giveaway". With that being said, Let’s begin..

#1 The power supply

https://preview.redd.it/paelsdp4dmqa1.jpg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ef322a853c20a5f73a07a9362c5f0e1ed407aa1e
The most common battery used for the Emesh is the GeekVape Ageis solo / solo 2. I've used this power supply for a long time with zero issues. The battery itself runs about $60 to $80 USD depending on the vendor, Taxes and shipping. The build quality is amazing and durable. They come in a variety of colors so you can customize your personal set up. The Ageis solo / solo 2 comes with temperature control as well as adjustable wattage so you can get a perfect, controlled hit, every time. This battery is available at most smoke and vape shops around the USA. I recommend checking out your local vape shop before buying online because it's a very popular battery. However, if you want to buy it online, I bought mine Here. If they are out of stock, just google search the Geekvape Ageis solo / solo 2 and I'm sure you will easily find another vendor that sells this particular battery. In reality, any 100w box mod battery will do However, the Geekvape is particularly known for the temperature control setting. It's not 100% needed though as long as you have a box mod with adjustable wattage. Personally, I don't use temperature control on my battery and prefer to just use wattage mode.

#2 The Mesh RDA or (Rebuildable Drip Atomizer)

https://preview.redd.it/ay112629dmqa1.jpg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=365c079514d94d8260abd03839366ecd3e40398b
This is hands down the toughest part of the build and is going to be unlikely you find one in all honesty. It's the most difficult to find and what I get asked about the most. The reason why it is so hard to find is because the mesh RDA is dated technology and all the good companies basically discontinued it. They moved on to producing new versions like RBA's, RTA's, RDTA's, and so on. Luckily China is still producing Knock off brand RDA's that work just as well as the name brands. You just don't get the warranty with them. They are, however, very cheap so I always recommend buying a few extras just to have on hand in the future when mesh RDA's are just as hard to find as an original Pink Floyd vinyl. A few of the most common RDA's that will work with this build are...
  1. Digiflavor mesh pro 25mm RDA
  2. Wotofo Profile Rda
  3. Vandy vape mesh RDA
  4. Wotofo x Mr.justRight1 profile
As I mentioned before, this will be the hardest part of the build. Some of these links listed above are going to be first come first serve and I can't 100% guarantee that you will get an RDA by following them because once I publish this, supplies are going to eventually run out as more people follow these exact links. However, keep checking back for them to restock. I do recommend that you start your search on wish or AliExpress as most of these style RDAs are going to be China reproductions. A mesh RDA is all you're looking for. If you absolutely cannot find a mesh RDA there are other options out there that are great alternatives. D-juice tanks are another common option and a better option than the sandwich method. If this seems more reasonable to you then definitely check out mintylove.com he has great videos with step-by-step build instructions. However, this post is for the Emesh so I'm not going to get into tanks and carts here.

#3 The stainless-steel mesh for your RDA

https://preview.redd.it/v3c7k3eddmqa1.jpg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=82c7f454ecd844e4c0f340e190a1efd37026437f
This is eventually going to be hard to find as well because it is dated tech. However, currently, I buy mine here. This is #150 mesh, 0.9ohm, SS316l. It used to sell in 5-foot spools which is enough to last you a very long time. Its quickly becoming discontinued and out of stock as the Emesh gained popularity. If you are lucky enough to get your hands on a spool, you're set for a while! This mesh will fit into your RDA and provide the platform on which you will load the spice. There is a variety on the market, and you don't have to get the Vandy vape brand. Since mesh is becoming hard to find as well, people have turned to amazon and bought sheets of stainless-steel mesh to cut down themselves. Personally, I haven't tried this method so I can't speak to its authenticity. However, if it's your only option it might be worth a try. Just make sure to be safe and test everything before use. A simple test can be a dry fire with your battery and atomizer to make sure it functions properly and doesn't let off fumes or smoke (after burning off the factory oil of course). Just make sure it is truly what amazon advertises it as.

#4 The extended glass drip tip / 810 to 510 adapter

https://preview.redd.it/mga1hd9gdmqa1.jpg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7bb25a8e21204747d068c6c8426c6823a5ab0563
The drip tip is an extended mouthpiece that will keep your lips away from the hot coil when you smoke. The drip tip comes in two sizes, 810 and 510. The 810 sizes will fit in the top hole on your RDA without the need for an adapter however, if they are out of stock or you can't find one, you can get the 510 sizes and pair it with an 810 to 510 reducing adapter. Currently, you can find drip tips on wish or Aliexpress. If you can't find an 810 size, then you will need this adapter to make the 510 size work. Most of my local vape shops haven't carried the extended mouthpiece but as always I encourage you to look around at your local shops to see what they might have in stock.

conclusion

I hope this helped you understand the Emesh a little more and hopefully made your search for parts a little easier. As I said, I can't guarantee that these links will lead you to success but at least you will know where to look for restocking. With enough persistence and effort, I'm sure you can eventually piece this very sought-after device together. It is definitely worth the effort I can assure you. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a DM and ill try to get back to you in a timely manner. I appreciate the support and I hope you get something out of this write-up. Be sure to check out mintyloves website and youtube for alternative ways to consume your spice. good luck in the giveaway!
As always, best wishes, stay safe, and keep exploring!

2023.03.29 08:14 skipster889 How to pull it together? Are my programming expectations too ambitious or am I just not any good at this?

This may sound a little vague. But I continue to have roadblocks and could use some advice. I feel like I literally am just spinning my wheels extensively trying to understand features and ability to quickly build.
I've been teaching myself C#/.net/Azure(Appservice, functions, devops) through classes, YouTube, tutorials, books and lots of code on Github. I hate video learning! 6 months in but 3 months of 25 hours a week specifically .Net. I do feel like I'm starting to confidently understand high level concepts, a lot of stack specific knowledge (Azure) and getting through lots of basic test projects. But I'm finding/feeling that I am so slowed down by my lack of knowledge about features, functions, shortcuts and available Nuget packages (Visual Studio in particular). That it takes me a week to do things that a well versed developer could knock out in a couple hours.
For example (and I'm probably not describing or designing correctly):
My current tests/builds have been trying to build an internal API for feature management (5 total features) literally just setting bool values for enabled or disabled. Then attempting authorization to modify these values. (Don't laugh) For me this encompassed:
  1. Building my entities/models
  2. Building tables, DB connections etc.
  3. Scratching direct connection, SQL admin and learning EF
  4. Incorrectly testing/designing many projects utilizing EF and DB Contexts
  5. Learning Azure SQL plans. Fucking up and spending $100 on a DB in an hour.
  6. Realized that I've never utilized Intellisense, Scaffolding etc. properly and frustrated that have been basically typing everything
  7. Learned about Swagger
  8. Realized I've been creating horrific dependencies and basically making my API's a two part broken Monolith (Injecting as Services)
  9. Found out that NSwag is a thing ... haven't even attempted to crack that configuration/build.
  10. Spent a week trying to understand basic identity/authorization and testing user ability to modify the features.
  11. Played with JWTBearer Tokens and couldn't figure out how to test without building a frontend with login. This included extensive playing with Azure DevOps and Github workflows to automate deployment.
  12. 30 days has gone by... I don't feel like I'm any closer to building a proper functioning, secure API and don't even know where I'm going wrong. I watch videos and experienced devs appear to be able to do this in an hour? Meanwhile I'm sitting here figuring out that I should have and don't need to build my API client. Authorization seems impossible.
  13. 3 months in and I'm... Incapable of testing properly, don't know what tools to use, or even know if I'm doing it right (IE don't even know what unit tests are or how to build). Don't know how to do proper logging. Confused how to make things go faster, struggling to write/find code that does what I want then I figure out there are packages that complete some of these tasks I want easily. I mean I feel like these are really basic mistakes/concepts.
My questions are literally how does one pull it together? Is this just how it goes? Am I'm trying to do fullstack and this isn't how anyone does it anymore? Once a dev figures something out do they stick with that method/packages until its proven to be wrong, slow to build or a security risk? Is this cost of doing business/I'm expecting too much for the amount of time spent learning?
ULTIMATELY I'm trying to produce an MVP for a software product and I'm contemplating hiring/partnering with a confident dev to complete things I can't seem to knock out if this just proves to not be my thing. But if I am on the right path I'll continue on if this appears to be the right amount of output for the effort/time.
Thanks for reading/advice!

2023.03.29 08:10 Dependent-Pay-8132 Androgen Deficiency on Birth Control fixed with DHEA?

I just posted this in the birthcontrol subreddit. Let me know if anyone here understands what I am trying to get at.

They Will Be Happy

Part 1:

I woke up this morning feeling well-rested and refreshed, but also slightly disoriented. As I opened my eyes, I remembered where I was; in my sleeper pod, a device that has become as commonplace as a backpack, or a binder for students. It's hard to imagine a time when people didn't use them, when we didn't understand the impact that our actions had on the environment. Everything is pure white, with a few gray accents here and there. There are no buttons, no screens, no flashy decorations. Just a smooth, curved surface that feels cool and soft to the touch. The only thing that breaks the monotony is a small green light, indicating that the pod is ready for use. It's hard to believe that something so modern-looking can be produced so cheaply and efficiently, but that's the power of mass production. When we first started using them, there was some resistance. People thought it was too impersonal, too “clinical.” As the benefits became clear, and the process became more refined, the objections faded away.
The farming and cultivation of meat is almost non-existent now, given the exorbitant carbon costs associated with it. On the bright side, the preparation and cultivation of insects has advanced to such a degree that most people can barely tell the difference. I used to be hesitant about the idea, but now I enjoy my cricket granola bars and mealworm tacos just as much as I used to enjoy traditional meat-based dishes. It's a responsibility we take seriously, and one that we're taught from a young age. It's frustrating to think that some of our parents don't understand the urgency of the situation. They seem content to live in the past, ignorant of the harm that's been done, but I won't let their complacency deter me from doing what's right. I'll continue to do my part, to use my voice and my actions to make a positive impact. And perhaps, with time and education, they'll come to see that this isn't just a passing trend; it's a necessity for survival.
I make my way to The Girls Dormitory, and I can’t help but appreciate how clean and modern everything looks. It’s a testament to the fact that even small changes in our habits can make a massive difference. We share community spaces to cut back on carbon, and everyone commits to using as few cosmetics as possible once again as a way to save the planet, but also to go light on our individual carbon credit allotments. It's the little things that add up, and I'm proud to be a part of a community that takes these issues seriously. Inside the dormitory, I was greeted by my fellow residents, all of whom were equally committed to the cause. We chatted and caught up on our day, I couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie. It's not just about saving the planet; it's about coming together to create a better future for everyone.
After a long day of classes, I find myself eagerly anticipating the protest I'm attending after school. It's a rally to promote positive vibes within the trans community, and as an “ally,” it's my responsibility to show up and show lend support. It's not always easy to make time for activism, especially when there are so many other demands on my time, but I know that it's important to prioritize this cause. I make my way to the protest reflecting on how far we've come as a society. The world outside my sleeper pod is not perfect, but it's a far cry from the world my parents grew up in. There is greater awareness and acceptance of marginalized communities, and more and more people are willing to stand up and fight for what's right.
Still, there is much work to be done, and it's up to all of us to fight for their rights and dignity. I'm proud to be a part of this movement, to use my privilege and voice to amplify their message. I'm struck by the energy and passion of the crowd. People from all walks of life have come together to stand in solidarity, and there's a sense of hope and determination in the air; a belief that we can make a difference, and that we can create a better world for all.
I remember the day when the President's daughter came out as transgender. It was all over the news, and there was so much talk about it in my school. As someone who considers themselves an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, I was so happy to see someone in such a powerful position be open and honest about who they are. It gave me hope that one day, people won't have to hide who they are and can live their lives authentically. I admire her because she knew that by coming out, she would be under a lot of scrutiny, but she did it anyway because it was the right thing to do. I think that's what makes her a hero in my eyes.
There has been a slow but noticeable rise in “Phoenix Pods” popping up around the city. These pods offer a painless and dignified way for people with chronic illnesses to end their suffering, and at the same time, they provide a sustainable solution to the issue of burial space. The idea of being planted back into the earth and becoming part of the planet itself is actually quite beautiful, if you think about it. I know some people are uncomfortable with the idea of assisted suicide, but I see it as a brave and selfless act. These individuals are taking on the responsibility of reducing their carbon footprint and easing the strain on our already overburdened planet. It's a sacrifice that shouldn't be taken lightly, but I can't help but admire the courage and conviction of those who choose this path. A person who decides to use the pod also has the option to give their remaining carbon credits to friends and family allowing them to escape climate debt and live more meaningful lives.
I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe as I watched The President’s daughter use one of these pods on a livestream. It was a somber moment, to be sure, but it was also a powerful statement of commitment to Mother Earth. I feel a sense of pride in the way that my generation has embraced this new technology as a solution to the population crisis. These devices have become the symbol of hope and sacrifice, a way for people to take responsibility for their impact on the planet and to leave behind a legacy of stewardship. Her passing was a call to action, a reminder that we all have a role to play; and in the aftermath of her death, there was a renewed sense of urgency and commitment to the cause. The moment was bittersweet, but I can’t help but feel hopeful for the future. Her sacrifice has become a powerful tool for change, and she has shown the world that sometimes the greatest act of courage is to let go.
My family is in debt because they don’t understand the way we do things now. They can't properly recycle, and they use far too much energy. I have tried to talk to them about it, but bad habits are difficult for people to change. I love my life, my friends, and my family but if I was to enter one of The Phoenix Pods, it could make a difference. It could help my family become carbon neutral again. I could be reborn as part of the earth again, and my body can nourish the plants and animals in my local community. It’s a beautiful cycle.
The process itself is clean and efficient. Every part of the body is used to create sustainable resources that can help the rest of humanity thrive. Your body is turned into energy and fertilizer, and anything that can’t be used will be broken down over time. Finally, there is a message board online for only those who decide to use The Phoenix Pods, and you get to make one final statement. Something to leave behind for those who wish to remember your noble sacrifice, or a fond farewell to loved ones.
One would think that thoughts of suicide would have me emotionally distraught, but I feel a sense of peace. I have found a way to take responsibility for my actions, and to make a positive impact on the world around me. I know that not everyone will understand, but I do. Am I willing to do what was necessary to save The Earth? To set my family free? To give back some of what I have already taken?
As I read blogs and message boards, I realize that I'm not alone. There are others like me, who see the value in taking responsibility for our actions, and who want to make a positive impact. Together, maybe we could create change, and perhaps even inspire others to do the same. I know that my decision will not be easy, and that there will be those who will judge and condemn me for it. I also know that I am doing what is right, not just for myself, but for those who will come after me.
I researched the different types of pods available and came across some that are designed for multiple people. The idea of leaving this world with my friends by my side gives me a sense of comfort. We could support each other through the process and leave this world as a community. Are my friends having similar thoughts? Perhaps, we could make the decision together, and in doing so, create a ripple effect that would inspire others to take action in this wonderful act of bravery and love. Love for the planet, and love for those around me who would be impacted by my choices, and love for those who have yet to understand what we are fighting for.
