Having been extremely excited about the new production of Pacific Overtures in Japan, which is directed by Matthew White and will be transferred to Menier Chocolate Factory afterwards, I finally managed to snatch a ticket for the final performance in Tokyo. Honestly, this is not my favorite Sondheim show as so many elements in the show feel like semi-authentic but not quite there yet, which conglomerates in somethings akin to uncanny valley if you speak Japanese and know the culture closely. So being able to see the show not only performed in Japanese but reimagined with the input of the Japanese cast piqued my interest the moment I saw the announcement. Overall, I was pretty impressed…until “Next.”
So basically, the production seems to be based on the script of 2017 John Doyle production at CSC, which was quite controversial given the cuts but which I nevertheless loved for its clear and thoughtful storytelling (I don’t mind cuts as long as they make sense in the context of the specific production and to me they did in John Doyle’s version). It ran 110 minutes without an intermission. What really surprised me was the book scenes. Most of them actually worked in Japanese, with a newfound sense of gravitas and nuances that the English language could never quite deliver. I often find the book scenes of Overtures done in English rather affected, sometimes to a degree of jarring-ness like watching anime dubbed in English. Sometimes they work, but they just don’t deliver as much, or at least differently than in Japanese. Here, the book scenes grabbed by attention like never before and they built up the tension much more effectively, making me shed a few tears at scenes I never did.
This is unfortunately not the case for the musical numbers though. As Sondheim is pretty strict and thoughtful with every note and lyric in his works, the translation just cannot achieve the same level of acuity and, well, mastery. Sure, some of the tanga might sound more interesting in Japanese, but in a language where there are so many much better short poems already, they sound amateurish in comparison if you studied Japanese Literature. This is probably due to the fact that the translation is more concerned with getting across the meaning in the original text than capturing the spirit. I saw the production of Merrily in Japanese two years ago, which was a transfer of the 2013? London production also to open on Broadway this fall. The Japanese Merrily also suffers the same problem of translation. You could feel that lyrics are at times fighting against the limited meters instead of becoming one with it. Maybe future iterations could prioritize keeping the spirit alive but what Sondheim does with his works is so much reliant on the unique aspects of the English language and the cultures associated with it, so this is a Herculean task for sure.
Nevertheless, hearing the score and seeing it performed by an all-across spectacular cast was enough to make up for these inherent flaws, at least to my personal enjoyment. My biggest gripe though, is that “Next” is performed unironically. The reason John Doyle’s production worked for me is that at its core, it tried to tell a story about a victim inheriting the mentality of the perpetrator. What I mean by this is, in Doyle’s production, you can see the damage the colonizers did to Japan on a fundamental level, which snowballs and culminates in the haunting image of a young Japanese girl picking up the gun, signifying the same kind of brutal acts Japan would do to its neighbors in the name of co-prosperity. When you take this away and instead make the final number to symbolize the diverse society Japan is going to become, the cuts are suddenly rendered meaningless, with all the tension built up till this point nixed to a sudden halt. It is like removing the hidden message of the danger of Social Darwinism in the revised text and instead saying that Social Darwinism is the way to go, because look at how amazing today’s Japan is (Emperor Meiji’s monologue directly leads up to the cast doing a dance number with the projection in the back showing a traditional Japanese painting of Mt. Fuji turning into a vortex of contemporary artworks).
This production emphatically reminds me that if you want to make Overtures work, not only to satisfy some audience members’ exotic fantasies but to actually work, you need to dig at the irony that is already there in the text, which also apply to almost all other Sondheim shows as we see in the gender-reversed version of Company. Anyways this is just my two coins but any thoughts?

So, I went and saw JW4 the other day. Here's my theater experience... I got there in time for the last preview, so the lights were off. I found my way to my favorite section of the theater and sat down. There were two ladies around my age sitting off center on my row that were chatty and on their phones when the movie started. They kept chatting loudly and kept opening up their phones . So I did the usual passive aggressive things to signal they were interrupting my movie experience. .. like cough loudly and/or look over at them. To no avail. I was about to get up and go get a free ticket when I had this idea ... ...: sit next to them.
I picked up my stuff and did just that. "Hey, if imma have to listen to ya- I might as well join ya". -yeah ok... I flopped down in the seat next to them. The seat was full of small bags of chips . Oops. I Didn't mean to crush your snuck in snacks and handed them to the lady. It was dark.
Lady next to me only pulled her phone out once more.. I leaned over and stuck my face in. That was the last of that.
We ended up having a couple laughs at whisper level.. like John wick is always walking.. jejejeje.
The whole time I know they're smelling me cuz I just got done working at the dog shelter.

2023.03.29 07:58 Kismetamorphosis Inappropriately refused scheduled paratransit, dispatcher didn't even check if my pass was approved.

I was recently approved for paratransit because I have cptsd and because of that I have severe agoraphobia. If I can't hardly take my own garbage out to the street, I sure as hell can't walk to a bus stop a mile away and back. Yesterday I was doing my usual, I got ready for college classes and prepared to take my bus. Routine bus, been on five rides so far. I have a bus pass through my college that pays my fare(rediculous to charge a disabled person with no income for bus fare, but thats the USA for you.) As normal, I got in and sat down. My pass should've been on the manifest.
However, people have no bounds to the level of bullshit they will go to to kick disabled people down when they think they're finally getting a leg up in the world. Presenting the worst morning in a long while;
Guy asks me for my fare or a ticket. I said I don't need it, I have an approved pass.
"Kay. Can I see fare or a ticket?" I show him on the back of my pass where it reads, 'unlimited paratransit eligable,' and he goes... wait for it, "Yeah I've never seen that before so uh, fare or ticket."
I tell him, I have been approved for this by a supervisor officially with the local bus, it should be there. "Yyyeah I don't see anything, fare or ticket."
I tell him to call dispatch and show him the email exchange where photo evidence of my pass was sent and approved, "Yeah sorry, I'm gonna need fare or ticket or you have to get off the bus."
I'm nearly in tears so I tell him I've been on five rides in the last week and nobody else had a problem with my pass, "Fare or ticket."
I tell him contact dispatch then, because they should know. They should have access to the information. He does, he calls dispatch, dispatch doesn't bother to check at all, "tell her she needs to have fare or ticket"
I just tell him to check again.
Dispatcher responds in not nearly enough time to have even glanced my account, "Yeah seeing nothing, fare or ticket."
I call the bus customer service and tell them that the driver is refusing me. I have it on speaker. Phone guy says, without checking, "The rules say fare or ticket." Didn't check my account.
I tell him I have an approval from (names the supervisor who approved my pass).He fights me on contacting a supervisor to clarify the problem, and I only got him to do it after asking five times in a row, "Oh, uh, yeah it looks like something's here actually, Please hold" Puts me on hold to finally contact the supervisor.
During the time I was on hold, the driver opens the bus door, and forces me to get off the bus or he would "have to do something about me"
I said, "FINE, get out of here then, I don't want to see it. I don't want to see your face. Good luck when this comes back around," which was Admittedly a bit rude, but honestly a million times less rude than either of them had been to me that morning. They had it coming, I'm not sorry.
On the way out I hear him mumble something something "karen."
Less than a minute later paratransit customer service comes back online, and it's the supervisor there to say, "Yes, I can see right here that you have been approved."
Too little too late. I then had to fight with them to replace the ride I was refused, because I was supposed to go to a college class, I couldn't afford a cab considering I cant afford a 3.25 bus pass without giving up toilet paper, and it was a lab class no less where attendance and participation are my entire grade for the day.
While doing that, I told them I wanted a written permission I can bring to make sure that this never happens again. Three. THREE people failed to look for an obvious note in a row, to even try. I had to fight them on that too, they eventually submitted the request in the form of a complaint and I guess I'll just have to wait until someone decides they care enough to trouble themselves with it, or not.
The new bus driver arrives 20 minutes later than projected. Parks on the opposite side of the street to pick up an agoraphobe. Oh. Mygod. Took another 10 minutes for him to realize he wasn't on the right side of the street.
I was late to class, big surprise. My professor proceeded to verbally make an example of my 'BAD BEHAVIOR' over not letting him know if you're going to be late to the entire room to which I interrupted him, "Uh, yeah. I sent you an email over an hour ago when it happened, did you read it?"
*y...you did? Ahm, uhm, yes well-" I kept talking, "Yeah, my bus pass was illegally refus-" starts talking over me about INTERRUPTING PRESENTSTIONS BLAH BLAH."
I didn't say anything, but I wanted to say, "do not make an example of me if you didnt even bother to look. I was sobbing all morning trying to get here, I didn't need to be publicly embarassed twice today."
I don't know if he docked me points today or if he permitted my tardiness, because he grades non-traditionally and I won't see my next grade until the semester ends. I gave him a note that explained so I could get to working on the exercises for the day, I think I saw him read it. I have no way of knowing if he docked me the points anyway. He knows I'm disabled and that I have struggled to get to my classes on time in the past because of my condition. He should have realized why it was inappropriate to say that.

The further we get from S14, the more I realize I love it. It is far and away my favorite post-S6 season. What's more, I even enjoyed it as it aired (!), and didn't have to learn to love it after the fact (as many of us did with S7 and S11). Why was S14 so great? Let's dive in.
(Also- I'm going to compare S14 to S15 a lot, b/c S15 is in my recent memory. This is not a S15 diss post!!! I have *moderately* enjoyed S15. It is better than S13 at least).
Possible reasons:
  1. Strong personality in werkroom/on stage, or being a good narratogiving good confessional (ex. Katya, Gia Gunn, Bianca Del Rio)
  2. Edited to have coherent narrative that involves conflict and/or growth- either internal, with the show, or with another contestant (ex. Adore, Laganja, Gottmik)
  3. Provide unique and/or emotionally compelling drag in segments of the show that allow queens to have individual creative authority (ex. Anetra's lip syncs, BendelaCreme's Snatch Games, Symone's runway package, Willow's talent show performance)
  4. Provide stellar but standard performances in run of the mill challenges on the show (ex. Courtney's Rusical performance, Loosey's Joan Rivers Snatch Game, Bianca's roast set)
  5. Deliver "so bad it's good" challenge performances, (ex. LalaRi's Bag Ball look, Kahmora Hall's acting challenge performance, Sugar and Spice's Snatch Games)
Let's compare a few season to see how queens stack up according to these characteristics. If a queen only somewhat fulfilled a characteristic, I put it in parentheses ().

Looking at S14 and S6 as compared to S15, a big difference we can see is that the early outs have multiple characteristics to their names, especially the number 1. characteristic- a big personality. Of course, S15 suffers *a lot* in this regard from its giant cast and shortened run time.
Another thing that S14 and S6 share is that most queens have the 3. characteristic- they showcase drag perspectives or performances that feel unique on Drag Race. Ex. Alyssa and April both have very strong and interesting runway packages. Kornbread delivered a stellar talent show performance. Vivacious, with her background in the NYC club kid scene, was a style of queen we hadn't seen on drag race before. This is another place that S15 really suffers- we just haven't seen most of the queens do anything really uniquely interesting this season. The only exceptions to that have been Anetra, Sasha, and Jax's lipsyncs, Marcia and Anetra's talent show performances, Sasha's first acting challenge, and, dare I say it... Amethyst's snatch game as Tan Mom (that one might be a personal preference lol).
Lastly, with S6 and S15, we can see that almost all of the late-out/finalist girlies have most of the characteristics. On S15, Anetra is the only one that does. I definitely think this a reason why she is so popular in the fandom right now. I also think this shows why Sasha has gotten less popular in the fandom as the season has gone on- she hasn't had any sort of narrative arc (characteristic 2) on the show. Even though Willow didn't have conflict with other girls or with herself on the show, in her confessionals, she presented the meta-narrative of having conflict with the show itself- she had to play the long game and gradually acclimate the judges and the show to the weirder and more interesting parts of her drag. Bianca, though she had a similar competitive arc (dominating the competition) and character archetype (statesman of drag, too big for the show) to Sasha, had a much stronger narrative arc- she had lots of conflict with the younger girls on the season, and gradually had to learn to care for them and not present herself as a stone cold b*tch. Sasha is amazing, and fully realized, and not afraid to be stupid from the get-go, and... not that interesting of a Drag Race character.

  4. The Ross Matthews Roast (I'm not sure we've had such a large group of good roast performances since S5)
  1. "She's a Super Tease"- allowed queens to poke fun at previous character archetypes and drama on the show, gave queens individual creative power to decide how they wanted to do it
  2. "Save a Queen"- brought back queens that the audience could already connect with, let current queens interact with them and build commercials that played with and made fun of the moments they were known for on their original seasons.
  3. "Daytona Winds"- made fun of the way the show's acting challenges had become somewhat earnest affairs in overracting that had moved away from the show's original premise of acting challenge as parody
Note: "Daytona Winds 2" in S15 is a great example of a Drag Race challenge that is *too* recursive.




Angeria is the only one who suffers here. Her competitive narrative on the show doesn't really progress beyond the first few episodes. She emerges as an early frontrunner and...that's about it. She's fun in confessionals, but she has a pretty laidback personality, so she doesn't get into fights with other girls and build her narrative that way. Her drag persona (backwoods glamorous pageant queen who has a bit of a silly edge) is fairly well-realized, familiar on the show, and established early on in the season. We don't learn anything new about Angeria after the first few episodes. She's a good enough performer to stay in the top for most of the season, but she's not quite canny enough to channel her own style or personality through the Drag Race challenges in ways that would make her stand out, beyond her initial talent show performance. The dichotomy between pageant glamour and a silly personality *is* interesting, but the show's not really interested in exploring that. On the runway, her aesthetic is top of the line pageant drag. It's good and lands on the side of "expensive and elegant" pageant-wear over "expensive and tacky" pageant-wear... but it is pageant-wear and we've seen it before. I don't know if Angie would be a great pitch for All Stars, and I don't know that her WtW would go outside the pageant-queen high-kick/strut box, but I would love to see her on a DragCon panel or a podcast.
Bosco's greatest virtue to the season is as a narrator- whether in challenges (Menzeses, Roast), confessionals, or on the main stage with the judges. Bosco's also not afraid to narrate her own inner turmoil (it is her brand of comedy), which is fantastic, given that her latter season arc has her ping-ponging between top and bottom placements in an ever more fragile metal state. Does her competitive narrative ever really have legs after the Rusical? Nope. Camden absolutely kneecaps her. And a standout Roast performance can only redeem so many bra and panty sets. But do I care? Nope. Bosco still makes the journey fun for us. What's more, we don't get many burlesque queens on the show that make it far, so while the bra and panty sets were repetitive unto Bosco, they still felt more interesting to me than a lot of Deja's takes that ranged in the "this popular drag designer made this for me and 20 other queens, but the other 19 paid more for it" and "Jiggly might have worn this on S4" styles, or the back half of Angeria's pageant closet. Even when Bosco's fashion was bad, it was interesting. That short short little wig? I still don't know how I feel about it. The last episode's crylon Judy Jetson space hooker hunger games mom, *with* the short short little wig? Nothing has ever been so delightfully crunchy. Bosco will be an absolute blast on all stars, the bras and panties will be ever more expensive, and she'll come a lovely 3rd alternate ala Jujubee.
Daya- rarely in recent seasons have we gotten a good villain storyline, even more rarely did the villain become an antihero, and never until Daya did we get a queen that battled back from: first bootness, a family connection to an earlier season queen the judges considered "superlative," and the producers' disinterest in her and dismissal as a filler queen. The fandom loves Daya and rightfully so. Daya showed in spite of all of that that she could produce great TV and be a great drag race queen. I would also count Daya's aesthetic eye as second only to Willow's this season (babydoll dresses aside. we all have our weaknesses.) Daya delivered several standout looks that took a defined aesthetic and gave it a distinctly Daya twist (chaps look, KISS look, catwalk video, final runway). I have no complaints with Daya, only with the producers' treatment of her. They continued to do her dirty! Her narrative would've been better served by a final win in "Catwalk," which in turn with her finale performance, should've propelled her to the final 2 over Camden. That aside, can't wait to see what she'll do on All Stars. Will she win? I have complete faith in Daya. I have 0% faith in the editors. Look for a weird joint-style win ala Trinity and Monet in All Stars 4.

Willow- there is no doubt to me that Willow ran S14 just as much as Symone ran S13 or Sasha is running S15, but it wasn't smothering in the way that 13 or 15 felt. Granted, Willow had better, more interesting competition. But Willow was also super savvy. She didn't need all the screentime or talk from competitors in the world to make it clear that she was a winner, not when she put her screentime to such good use. Though Willow was comparatively quiet and laidback, she was never boring. (Her edit was a *little* boring. Just a steady upward trajectory. But sue me for liking a bitch who knows she's in her top era!). She was great in confessional, with a sense of humor- blunt, morbid, and a bit smug- not often seen on drag race. In drag, she showed that she could be a great drag race queen (Super Tease, Menzezes, ball challenges, Daytona Winds), great at fitting her own aesthetic into drag race challenge roles (Green Fairy in Moulin Ru, 60s Girl Groups), and most importantly, an interesting queen outside of drag race.
Any time that Willow was able to deliver her own signature drag on the show, she was doing something completely unique to what we've seen on Drag Race. Let's go through the highlights:
All this to say is a was a lot of fun to see Willow turn drag race tropes on their heads. And Willow's just really good. She's an underrated winner. I wouldn't want to see her on Drag Race again, or work the world. She's way too cool for the Drag Race brand. She would be cool even if she never did drag again. I will very happily go see anything she independently produces.

I've saved Camden for last, because if you thought this post was already way too long, watch me write another 5000 words about drag race and its relationship with male drag. But before I get into all that, let's talk about Camden as a drag race character.
If Daya is the girl production hated, Camden is the girl they loved. I love a hidden frontrunner storyline, and production did a great job with Camden's. Once her edit picked up steam in Daytona Winds, it didn't slow down again. Camden was the girl that got to gradually steamroll the other frontrunners (Daya- Daytona Winds, Catwalk (however dubious), Bosco- Lalaparuza, Moulin Ru), only to face defeat at the hands of her final competitor, Willow, at the finale. Where Willow found success at shaping her challenge roles to fit her already well-defined drag aesthetic, Camden was the rare contestant who successfully expanded her drag repertoire to fit the challenges.
Camden also benefitted from being an archetype we haven't seen much of on Drag Race. You could call her a theatre queen, but that's not really true to her personality or her edit. Off-Broadway queens on the show are generally edited to have an off-putting sense of delusion, desperation, and self-seriousness. Camden, with the confidence that came from actually having performed professionally for years, was none of these things. I read her as a better-realized and more interesting variety of Shuga Cain's or Gottmik's archetype- a queen that turned to drag for personal reasons after already achieving professional success in a separate sphere, fell absolutely in love with drag, and was still figuring out how their personality and performance translated between their in and out of drag selves. Camden had the *large* benefit over Shuga and Gottmik of entering drag with: - classical dance training and performance experience, - a much more interesting set of aesthetic references, -amateur acting and comedy experience. Camden was having just as much fun as Shuga at figuring out who she could be in drag, but she and the edit were much better at letting us know about it- like Bosco, she was great at narrating herself, which made for a really fun journey from week to week with her.
Her aesthetic and performance choices were also hilariously chaotic throughout the season. In situations where she had creative control, she might choose to: -repeatedly reference Bunheads (I cannot emphasize enough how much this was a choice), or she might completely rock a 90s London underground raver look and performance, or she might show up in very expensive Frozen cosplay, or she might provide the look of the night as a crystallized porcelain ballerina, or she might show up in a cotton candy meets Flintstones outfit of Salina-Estitties-bad proportions (love u Salina <3), or she might show up as a slutty horse, carriage, bridle, and all... the list goes on and I don't want it to end!
I also appreciate the level of commitment Camden displayed towards her more questionable choices; when Michelle advised against a joke about yelling into Ross's asshole for the roast, Camden made it longer for her set. When Camden showed up to the finale and started off with a questionable choice- pony play outfit of dubious proportions- she continued making questionable choices all the way through the final lipsync performance!
And for all that we learned about Camden's drag on S14, I feel there's still more to unpack. Rarely is Drag Race this good for a queen. I cannot wait to see Camden on All Stars. Will she win? She will make it to the finals. She will make it to the final lip sync. But I cannot tell you if she will give an incredible and captivating lip sync performance or if she'll choose to make another bunheads reference. Only time will tell.
Now to unpack the most interesting things Camden did on S14, and why they were cool to see on Drag Race. This is actually a bit similar to Willow- both Willow and Camden at their best work in similar ways against the way that Drag Race generally chooses to frame the nexus of sexuality, gender, and attraction.
The vast majority of gendered drag presentation that we see on drag race runs very femme, and by virtue of that, we see a lot of interpretations of female sexuality. It's usually straightforward- glamorous, sexy, and it's subversive mostly in the fact that it's a queer reclamation of female sexualities as seen by the male gaze. I would say this is a true even of the femme dom portrayals that we see on Drag Race (ex. Jaida in Madonna rusical)- it's a pretty mainstream and straight idea of what a femme dom is supposed to be. Less frequently we see straight or queer female sexualities centered in a women's gaze (ex Joey Jay <3). Rarely do we see hard butch, nongendered, or androgynous presentations- to the point that it *really* starts to stand out when we do (ex. Mo Heart's butch queen on UK vs the world, Victoria Scone's genderbend on Canada vs. the world, Raja's androgynous looks on All Winners).
Notice that these are all runway examples that I've cited. We really don't see looks that range past mild butch in challenges (Snatch Game excepted). Queens may be interested in exploring all this, but drag race as a production and the judges are not. As for masculine presenting drag, it's even more rare. Queens may go in boy drag for challenges, but almost never on the runway. This is key.
When queens are in boy drag in challenges (rare SG examples excepted), they are:
Most often when the show needs to display masculine-presenting sexuality for a challenge, they use a pit crew member or an outside actor (ex. Leland in Moulin Ru, Danny Trejo in Daytona Winds 2). (Leslie Jordan is a lovely exception to this by virtue of being Leslie Jordan). Even here, these men are rarely presenting queer male sexuality. They are almost always playing it straight. (For more on the drag queen/gogo boy dichotomy, see How to be Gay, there's some paragraphs on this somewhere in there.)
To explain why drag race does this, Sasha's performance in the latest Rusical is key. As an effeminate man on the drag race stage (that's the label we'll use for Carl since he *is* straight(?) married to female Preacher Teacher- she's kinda more butch than him tho), Carl has no sexual power or potential in his male drag. Carl's frumpy clothes and Sasha's performance illustrate this pretty well. For the effeminate or queer man on drag race to unlock his sexual potential, he must put on femme-presenting drag. See: Carl in the final number once transformed into Ethel Sperman.
This is why we don't see masculine-presenting drag on the runway, especially drag that reads as queer masculine. The runway, being a *pure presentation of aesthetics and form,* is the most direct embodiment of the transcendence that drag allows for the long-shamed "feminine" aspects of queer male sexuality to their glorification and empowerment when presented in the male-as-female drag form.
(Note: there is a lot to unpack with the term "feminine" and its relation to queer male sexuality. I'll keep it short here and say that when I say "feminine" in this context, I'm referring specifically to the aspects of weakness/sexual submission that are often implied in the term, and become shameful or transgressive when juxtaposed with traditional ideas of male sexualities).
I think for Rupaul on the show, especially in the earlier seasons, the link between the shame of queer male sexuality and the transcendence of that sexual shame that could only be reached through glamorous, regal, sexual, feminine drag was really really strong. There is a reason the first 3 winners of the show all fit that ideal. I think that goes a *long* way towards explaining:
At the time, these all seemed like things that undermined the central thesis of the show. This also explains:
Also! Who's the queen we see in male drag in challenges on the show the most? It's Ru! RuPaul! (ex. acting scenes on S6 final challenge, RudePaul on S10, court room reporter on All Winners). RuPaul doesn't go in drag on the show to play characters other than RuPaul the Glamazon, and he expects contestants to treat their drag the same.
Also!Also! There is clear reasoning for why Ru would feel this way about drag- the gay culture of the 90s and 00's was *so* different to today, and before drag race and the efforts of a lot of advocacy, there was a much larger stigma in the gay community towards feminine men, trans women, and drag queens. If you want to hear more about this I think Bianca or Courtney talk about it together on a podcast somewhere.
Drag race and RuPaul's allowance towards all these things has gradually changed thanks to awesome queens being on the show and fans wanting better for queens, but the effects of that viewpoint on the show are still really strong. So it's fun to Camden work against these ideas on S14.
To me, Camden's big standout moment is as Freddie Mercury on the runway and the "One Way or Another" lip sync. Camden's usual drag, as much as she goes towards any aesthetic, is very femme, Spice Girls-sexy. I don't find it particularly compelling, and I don't feel that she's adding much femininity or sexuality as compared to her character on drag race out of drag.
Freddie Mercury is different. Camden plays Freddie on the runway and in the lip sync very sexually. It is unequivocally a performance of powerful queer male sexuality. We really have not seen that on drag race before, especially on the runway. What's even better is how much fun Camden is having with it. You can really see the joy as she performs. She's having fun and feels more powerful in this queer male drag than her usual femme drag- and that in itself is incredibly empowering.
(Camden feeling more powerful in male drag works for the same reason that "Joey Jay is gay" does. Joey says as much in her lyrics, but there's a truth to it that goes beyond that. Like Camden, Joey is gay and femme enough already out of drag that her drag transformation might actually reveal more masculine or dominant aspects or her personality. If for a typical queen, drag goes something like "he's so gay she's straight," for Joey it goes "he's so gay she's masc.")
The same is true of Camden's other standout performances during the season. In the Lalaparuza, she has to lip sync against Bosco, the sexiest queen of the season, while not dressed in her super femme-presenting drag. As Camden puts it "how am I supposed to lip sync to this super soulful song dressed as Sonic the Hedgehog's bitch girlfriend?" But she makes the choice to perform the song sexually in spite of that, and she does it really well, to the point that the show has other contestants comment on it. See: Daya "I'm so hot for Camden right now." For Camden that feels like another really emotionally strong moment.
The last piece of this narrative is Camden's performance in Moulin Ru as the androgynous cabaret host. Although the character's dress and physical presentation is androgynous, Camden brings a queer masculine-coded sexuality to her performance that feels like a continuation of her discovery as Freddie Mercury. And like with Freddie, she performs the role very successfully and has a ton of fun doing it.
What's even better is just to see all these performances get rewarded by the judges on Drag Race. I really don't know how they would've been received on earlier seasons. But I'm glad we have them now, and I'm glad that queens continue to push Drag Race to expand its aesthetic bubble.

I am sorry. This is a long post, but I am just trying to give as much details as I can so that you guys can give me your opinions. Thank you to those who will take the time to read this post and give your opinion. I apologize in advance for any grammatical errors.
I (F/36) met my now ex-boyfriend (M/34 - we will call him James) on an app (not a dating app) at the start of the pandemic, March 2020. We started off as friends. Given that we were both in lock-down, we would text each other all day, all night and over the months, we grew closer (we started texting then slowly moved to phone calls). Please do not judge me, but even though we had not met in person yet, I started to really like him, the feeling was mutual for him. It felt like we had been friends for years, talking to each other was easy. We do not live in the same country (two different continents). When restrictions got looser, he met another girl (we will call her Donna - they started off as friends) and reconnected with his ex (we will call her Jennifer - they broke up two years prior to lock down, it really affected him).
He started spending a lot of time with Jennifer, spent his days with her and slept at her place, but said they were just friends. He mentioned that he was hoping that he could try again with her because he felt like he owed it to her (they broke up twice). At the same time, he also grew closer to Donna. But he would also tell me that he really liked me. We would talk everyday and he would tell me that he would love to meet me and see where things could go between us. He also said that the type of connection we had, he never had it before.
In September or October 2020 we stopped talking because things were just not working and he wanted to give it a try with Donna. I will admit it, I was crushed. I really liked him and our connection. We cut contact for several months but he called on my birthday, and we picked up right where we left off, The connection was even stronger. That night, we talked for hours on the phone. I learned that he and Jennifer, his ex, got together but it did not work. He also tried with Donna, they were not officially together, but things just did not work out because she was uncomfortable with the type of relationship he had with his ex, and if I remember correctly, she felt like his ex would not allow him to move on. Even though he was seeing Donna, he would spend time with Jennifer.
Over the next months, James and I grew closer and we started video calling - even though we had reconnected, I was still a bit active on dating apps. Our feelings for each other grew and we started talking about meeting in person. Given that it was getting serious (I know it is not a real relationship until we meet in person but we were really close and we really wanted to meet each other and see where things would take us) I basically told him that I wanted to give it a try and only focus on him, not meet new people or date until we meet, and if it does not work with him, we could just stay friends. I also told him that if he still wanted to meet or date other people until we meet, I was okay with it but I would be doing the same. I told him that it is not something that I am interested in doing and it would hurt a bit since I really like him, but if he was seeing other people I would too. We both agreed to just focus on each other and stop dating.
I decided to buy a plane ticket to meet him. At first, what I had decided to do was to spend a few days with him to see how we get along and then spend the rest of my trip in another country that I had always wanted to visit.
I have low self-esteem, I am insecure and always doubt myself, I always thought that once he sees me in person, he would not be interested. But I felt so strong about him that I decided to change my plane ticket and spend the whole trip with him and not go to the other country.
Because I did not have enough vacations left, I decided to do overtime at work. 1 month before my trip, I found out that he added as a friend this girl on his Facebook who had an account on an app and would wear sexy revealing clothes, act sexy and tease a bit- like Only Fans but not really. She was not naked. Her audience were pretty much thirsty men. I questioned him about it and told him that I was not comfortable with that, given what she does, and did not want to come see him (did I overreact?). We talked about it and at that time he told me that he does know her, he has never spoken to her or seen her in his life and does not know how she ended up on his Facebook. We worked it out and things were okay.
We finally met and it was great! I ended up spending the whole trip at his place and met his family (I had booked a hotel for 3 days and initially planned on staying there just to see how James and I got on but I ended up not staying there). We decided to make it official.
During my stay, his ex, Jennifer, called him quite a lot. She was aware of who I was and that I was visiting him. Also, a random number kept calling him and would also text him, telling him stuff like oh you have replaced me with another woman. Although I felt like his ex, Jennifer, was a bit too present, I invited them both to dinner and paid. One time she even called him crying because she was moving out of her place and it would be her last night in her apartment. While I was there, she asked him If he would help her move out, I told him I would help as well but then she said that they could do the moving after I was gone since he was spending time with me.
I decided to go back to visit him a second time 3 months later and that is when things started to change. One day, we were walking and he saw Donna but she did not see him. He immediately texted her telling her that he saw her. I got an uneasy feeling, I do not know how to describe it. When we got to his place, I saw at the top of a shelf a woman body spray, I asked him where he got it from, deep down I knew the answer, he said it belonged to Donna. He got it from her because it smelled nice and used it to spray his room to make it smell nice. We got into an argument and he called me by her name telling me that I was basically acting crazy, just like her. We made up and he explained that he called me by her name because we were just talking about her, but I had a gut feeling that there was more.
When James and Donna ended things, they remained friends, would text each other here and there, according to him, but nothing more. I was a bit uncomfortable with their friendship because of their history but also because of my insecurities, not going to lie.
That night I decided to go through his phone. I found messages between them. He told me that he was not meeting up with her but they did, they would sometimes eat lunch when he was in town, he would tell her oh I saw you when I passed by your work but you were hiding from me, or he would ask her what she was doing and she would say she was having a ladies night with her friends and he said he would come join her and she told him no it is only ladies (when asked him about him, he said he was only joking he was not gonna join her, he was just teasing her), one time, he texted her at 1AM asking her what she was doing and if she wanted to come chill with him and just have a smoke, she said no. He would often offer to do things with her and not the contrary. In one of the messages, he was telling her how he knew she missed his private part or something like that, he referred to his private part, and on one occasion he reminded her of the time they had s*x in the bushes in front of his house and she told him to not remind her of that (in a joking way) and he said never haha.... Those messages date back to when I got back from my first trip and I had already bought my second ticket.
I also found screenshots of that girl (her ass) he had added on Facebook, screenshot of a naked webcam girl, naked pictures of his ex, Jennifer, and a conversation of him and another person on an anonymous chat, where he had sent her a picture of his private part. I looked at the dates and all of them, pictures and screenshots, were taken while we were not officially together but when we said that we would only be focusing on each other. I was hurt. He said that he has deleted the pictures and screenshots and was not even aware that they were still on his phone (I found them on Google drive).
I understand that going through his phone was wrong but I did worse, not my proudest moment, I decided to text Donna from his phone. I introduced myself, I was very polite and so was she. I basically asked her what was going on between them and she assured me that there was nothing going on, they were just friends, and that it is me that he wanted since he basically picked me over her. She was nice and even offered to meet me up in person to talk about it. I thanked her for answering my questions and left it at that. The next day, I texted her again because I had one more question. When she found out that James and I were official it really affected her, she was hurt and she did not appreciate that he ignored her while I was there the first time because it is not what friends do, she also told him that even though I had met him before her she spent more time with him or something like that, but all it took is one week for him to decide to make me his girlfriend. She told him that she felt like he only used her and only wanted to be with her because he was waiting for me.
I learned that they slept together 3 weeks before my first trip and even got closer to each other but decided that it was not a good idea. I understand that at that time I had not met James in person but the fact that we both said that we were gonna wait to meet each other before trying with anyone else and the fact that I was emotionally invested in this made this whole thing bad.
We both agreed to not see other people, but he did and I did not, so I felt like he robbed me of an opportunity of meeting someone in my country and made me waste my time and money since he was not serious. He said that he did not meant to get close to her and knowing his luck, he was not sure I was really gonna come (when I changed my flight ticket I sent him a picture of the ticket and hotel reservation). I mentioned to him that I was scared of meeting and that knowing myself I would go to the airport but would end up changing my mind. Me saying that gave him the impression that I was not really gonna come to visit him. I was really scared that he was not gonna like me. He also said that he thought that I was seeing other people because I was sometimes sketchy. He said that he would never do what he did while we are together because 1) we have met and are official 2) he loves me and has never cheated on any of his girlfriends. He was always the one who got cheated on.
When he woke up, well I woke him up since I was leaving, I was ready to go back home. I confronted him and he said he did not do anything wrong. I packed my stuff and left for the train station. He met me at the train station and convinced me to stay. I would like to add that a couple of days before that day we had an argument, I cannot remember about what, but he was sick the night I arrived, we found out that he had COVID, his dad and I did a COVID test and I told him that if I do not have COVID I would go to another country to visit ( I had already planned on visiting that country during my trip and we talked about it) and come back because I did not want to risk catching COVID. I think we argued because he felt like I was being selfish and did not take into consideration his feelings. The arguments got pretty intense and I started packing my bags to leave his house and just go back home. We made up and I went to the other country for 3 days. His dad and I tested negative for COVID.
I agree that it was selfish to want to leave him like that while he was sick. I accept that it was immature to want to leave whenever we had arguments. I know that I have some issues that I need to work on.
After I found out about the texts and pictures and confronted him about them we talked. I told him that I wanted to end things with him because I did not think that I would be able to trust him once I got back home, and I would always be wondering if he was with someone else. We talked some more, I decided that I was gonna stay in a hotel because I did not want to face his family since I had told them that I was going back home since things with James were not working. I could not find a room so I went back to his place. The rest of the trip went well, i met more members of his family and decided to extend my trip of 3 more days since we got into so many arguments. Also, I told him that I felt like his ex, Donna, was not over him and because of that their friendship made me uncomfortable.
When I went back home, I was okay for the first 2 weeks but then started to not feel good, I did not trust him, I was in another country, I felt like he wanted to be with Donna. We talked about it he said he understood, that it was normal and it would take time for us to be okay again but we would be alright. Weeks passed and I was not doing okay, I told him I could not do it anymore and wanted things to stop. The breakup lasted 2 days (keep in mind that we are both in our 30s but sometimes react like teenagers. I am aware that I acted in an immature way on more than one occasion).
He informed me that when we broke up he reached out to Donna because he needed someone to talk to and she helped him since we got back together. I was hurt and I must admit I was insecure about their connection, I always felt like he was not over her and she was not over him.
Although we got back together I still did not feel good, I was not convinced that he was faithful to me, so I decided to do another dumb thing, I texted him from a fake number from his country (there is an app where you can get a foreign number and sent/receive messages). I basically pretended to be someone else, I was basically testing him. He did not do or say anything wrong. He just kept asking who I was. That same night, he told me about it and said that he did not know who it was but thought it was Donna. He asked her about it and she obviously said it was not her, but he said that he thought she was lying because the things that I was saying only she would know about it, he never thought it was me. He did ask me if it was me or maybe my sister but I acted like I did not know anything. He said that from that day he lost trust in her. She is someone he greatly appreciates.
She wanted to remain friends and so did he but he realised that it was toxic and because it could affect our relationship he said that he would once again cut contact with her. She told him that she was over him since she was seeing someone else, and kept repeating that they could still be friends since she was over him, he said that the fact that she was repeating she was over him made him think that she was not. I thought the same.
I told him that I would make an effort and try to be okay with their friendship, but for now I would not feel comfortable with them meeting. So he said that he would not text her but will answer her when she texted. They stopped talking and one night she texted him asking him to come pick her up, he went and while they were driving she touched his knee, and private part. She asked him to hold her hands since friends can hold hands, he did. When they were outside the car, she leaned towards him and kissed him on the lips, he said that as soon as she did that he backed away. It was during that night that she found out that James and I got back together.
She was really upset because she had no idea we were back together, she thought that he was still single and that is why she allowed herself to do what she did. She said that she just wanted to test him and see if they were still something going on between the two or if she was over him. According to her, the fact that nothing happened that night proved that she was over him. I do not understand that. James asked her if he had offered her to go back to his place to sleep together would she had done it, she said yes. So he told her that she was not over him or something like that. They got into an argument, he felt bad for hurting her and he cried. He told me about it and I was once again crushed, because he was depressed about the whole situation, he was crying and trying for a full day to reach out to her to resolve things so that they could leave things cordially. He wanted me to support him while he was supporting her and making sure she was alright.
They ended talking but things were not resolved. I asked him what he wanted from me and her? He kept asking me what I wanted, I wanted him to tell me exactly what he wanted and not to make a decision because he thought he would make me happy. He mentioned that he wanted to keep her as a friend and have me as a girlfriend. I told him that it was not fair of me to ask him to cut people he cares about out of his life but I would also have to make the best decision for me which was ending things with him because I was not comfortable. He said that he did not want to lose me so he was cutting her out. I asked him if he had romantic feelings for her, he said no, I asked what does he feel for her, he said he loves her like he loves his friends and family and he cares about her.
Obviously, things were not like before, so I decided to visit him a third time so that we could work things out. I was gonna stay a few days with him, then leave to visit my family in another country and come back to stay with him for 1 month and half or a month because we were planning on me moving to his country. So we wanted to first see how we would get along for that long period.
When I stayed there for a few days, a woman (we will call her Annie) who works for his family called him at 2 in the morning. I saw her name and I asked him to pick it up, at first he did not want to because we were sleeping, I insisted and asked him to answer or I would. He answered, she sounded drunk she asked him to come pick him up, he told her that we were sleeping. I was so upset, because I was already having doubts about their relationship because since he stopped talking to Donna he was spending more time with Annie and her kids. This was new since he never hung out with her or the kids. He said that he was hanging out with them so that he would have something to do and get out of the house. Anyway, after he told her that we were sleeping, he hung up and she texted him "really" or "wow", I cannot remember which. She called again, then called again an hour later. I was upset, we argued and I told him that we should just go pick her up. He said no. I asked him if anything happened between the two, he said no. I asked him if he ever went to pick her up late at night, he said no and that it was the first time that she had called him that late and she never asked him to come pick her up in the past. We argued some more and made up. The next day she apologised and said she could not remember what happened and could not remember how she got home. She told him to tell me that I had nothing to worry about. Later on, he said that he thinks that someone may have put something in her drink when she was out, she said she only had one or 2 drinks. But we are now not sure about that because she did other things.
I went to visit my family in another country and came back to stay with James. While he was sleeping, he received a Facebook notification from Donna telling him "I am gonna ask you one more time to leave me the f**k alone". I was boiling, I woke him up and asked him what was that about, he said he did not know why she was messaging him, I was fuming. He said he told me he did not know why she was messaging because he had just woken up and did not know what was happening. He said she answered that because he had messaged her because after getting stung by a bee, the doctor told him he could have died (turned out he is allergic, he got tested) and he wanted to leave things cordially with her, he regretted some of the things he told her (a couple of days after he picked her up late at night, they saw each other in town and got into a screaming match in public, she told him that she was using him for s*x, he also found out that she was talking to one of his friends, she told that friend that she was afraid to leave her house because James was stalking her, he promised me that he was not. Later on he told me that she said that his friend misunderstood what she said and that the two occasions she saw him outside her place she was already aware that he was there).
I once again decided to go through his phone while he was asleep. In his family chat there were messages between him, his brother and cousin. His cousin was asking him if we were gonna come to dinner since she needed to make reservation, then his brother asked if James was going to have all his ladies at the table, his cousin (who is friends with Annie) answered that she did not want any drama at dinner, his brother answered that he wanted to see the drama then James answered maybe he should invite Donna so that we could have a Mexican standoff. I was so hurt, I felt humiliating.
I thought they would only joke like that if something had happened between Annie and James. I decided to change my flight and go back home. 10 minutes before the cab was supposed to come, I woke him up and told him that I was leaving. He got angry, I showed him what I saw on his phone and him messaging Donna was just too much for me. He tried to stop me from leaving but I managed to get in the cab and left. My flight was booked and I was due to leave the next day, I booked a room at a hotel. James kept calling me and came to the airport, we talked and I decided to stay 3 more days to try to fix things. We ended up talking and fixing things. Instead of me staying 1 month (or one and a half) like I originally planned to, I stayed a week, i think. But we were only okay for a while. When I came back home my head was a mess. I did not feel good about my relationship with James.
I decided to once again pretend to be someone else. I texted him from a foreign number and pretended to be Donna, I asked him if he really loved, why did he pick me over her, if he still had feelings for Donna, basically trying to see if he regretted being with me and to see if he still thought of her. He told "Donna" that he would tell her everything that she wanted to know if they could meet up. Then he said that he was driving to her place. I did not want that to happen so i revealed it was me. He said he knew it was me all along and was giving me a taste of my own medicine since I like to play stupid games. He was now sure it was me the first time as well. I tried to deny it but ended up admitting. He asked me why I always try to sabotage our relationship by doing stuff like that. I told him not to come visit me. He had bought a plane ticket to spend the holidays with me. We made up again, but things were no longer like before.
He came to visit me but it was bad, we tried to make the most out of it but it was not like before. The spark was no longer there, I did not trust him, he did not trust me. We argued a lot while he came to visit me. One day, I was so upset, I left the house for the whole day and went to the bar at night (I do not really drink, a couple of times a year, but I was just so overwhelmed). I got drunk, we argued more, I threw stuff and tried to hit him. The neighbor called the police. I was so so so ashamed. I felt humiliated by my behavior and everything happening.
Two weeks after he left, we decided to end things, the break up was respectful. We both admitted our wrongs and apologize to the other. I told him that I would prefer to cut contact, he said he did not mind keeping in touch but I felt like it was best for me to cut contact for a while. I ended up texting him after 4-5 days, I asked him if we hated each other he said that he did not hate me, that he cares about me. I told him so do I. We were both trying to deal with the break up. We ended up talking every day for a month, we were not back together, we were just being there for the other.
Yesterday, he was not feeling well, he was thinking about the whole situation, and just feeling miserable. I cared about him and did not want to see him like this. I tried my best to cheer him up, kept texting him the whole day while I was at work. He was saying that he kept messing things up, that he keeps ruining his friendships and relationships. He said that I no longer worry a lot about him and that he felt like I no longer wanted to talk to him. When I feel like he does not talk a lot, I do the same, I pull out and become a bit cold but always say that I am okay (obviously I have communication issues). I told him that I felt like the way we were talking to each other felt like we were keeping each other company and that we were probably over the break up (I was not but I guess I was pretending to be over).
When he mentioned that he ruined some of his friendships, I asked him if he was referring to Donna. He started saying he would never again have the connection he had with both of us, Donna and I, and how Donna and I no longer worry about him. The way he was speaking about her made me feel like what I thought we had, a special connection, was not so special because he felt the same about her. That we were at the same level. James made me feel like I was the best thing that happened to him, he said many times, and according to him, the type of connection we had, he never had it with anyone else. But at the same time, I felt like I was competing with Donna.
The way that he was speaking of her made me feel like he wanted to try again with Donna, I wanted him to admit it, so I told him I had made my peace and that maybe she was the one that got away, maybe she was not over him and that with time things could work out between him and her. Sometimes, I truly feel like I would have been okay with them dating again, but what hurt me is that I feel like he made me waste time, energy and money (I spent a lot of money to be with him, he did not help pay for my tickets, the last time that I went to visit him, I asked him to help me pay the ticket, at least half of it, he said he would sent me money before I come, then said he would give me to me when I am there, because he did not work, I ended up telling him to just forget it since I knew he did not have a lot of money).
He then told me that the first time I texted him from a foreign number I led him to believe that it was Donna (I just pretended to be a random girl but I can understand why he thought it was Donna) and because of that he stopped trusting her and the fact that I did that worsen the situation between the two and broke their friendship. He thought that she was a liar but she was not. He also said that before I pretended to be someone else, he trusted me 100% but now he no longer knew what was real or fake because of what I did. So I caused him pain and hurt for nothing.
He finally admitted that he would want a friendship with Donna again or more, and see where things could go between them. He said he was not thinking about her while we were together and he only started thinking about her again when he found out I was the one pretending to be someone else. He said that before coming to visit, he knew I was gonna do something to mess things up. I told him that in his eyes she can't do no wrong and that his feelings for her were always there, they just resurfaced and that he always had something for her even when we were together.
I feel stupid and hurt. I know some of my actions, pretending to be someone else and going through his phone, were wrong and immature. I understand that what I did would cause him to lose trust in me. Trust me, I am ashamed of it. I feel like we both manipulated the other.
What are your opinions on our relationship? Did I overreact a lot? Were my reactions to some of the situations over the top? Am I responsible for our relationship not working? Do you guys think that even during our relationship he still had feelings for her?
I do not hate Donna, I do not think she is a bad person, I just thought that she was not over him and was not comfortable with that.

TTO= CDL A Can drive anything.

USPS provides the training. (Maintenance jobs at least. TTO and management...GOOD LUCK)

INTRODUCTION
Back in 2020, NIS released void tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium (VT1) which didn't seem to sell particularly well. The game remained quite unknown to many people to this day even when compared with other NIS' niche games. Despite that, the game had won the hearts of a small fanbase with its fun rogue-lite combat loop, the charming characters and the surprising emotional story beats. About 3 years later, the sequel finally gets released in the west. For people new to the games, I highly recommend checking out my Review of the first game since it will cover overlapping content that aren't necessarily covered here.
Void tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium 2 (VT2) is essentially more of the same from the first game, but with some new gameplay changes.
STORY
VT2 begins right after the events of the first game and the Terrarium trio has moved to a new location. In addition to adapting to their new home, they also start investigating into Toriko's origins, the last surviving human on the planet.
Like the first game, VT2's story is filled with happy and sad moments that did an excellent job of making me interested in seeing where the story was heading to despite not a whole lot actually does happen. Fans of the first game will most likely feel the same level of investment here. What VT2 does different and a bit better is that there is a story direction right at the start. It didn't feel as aimless as seen in the majority of VT1.
If you wanted another roller coaster of emotions, then VT2 is the ticket that delivers. I didn't expect to experience the same level of raw emotions as the first game, but the second game had surprisingly exceeded it.
CHARACTERS
The three returning characters are as lovable as they were in the first game. They haven't really changed much either. Robbie is still the loyal and kind robot. FactoryAI is still the very expressive chatterbox, but her fondness for Toriko may have reached a new level.

As for Toriko, she remains as cute and adorable as ever, but her new animations and interactions have allowed her to seemingly express even more of herself than before.
Toriko has picked up a few new tricks
ART DIRECTION/GRAPHICS
The graphics hasn't changed a whole lot from what I noticed. It is still quite beautiful during the Terrarium scenes. VT1 seems to have more vibrant colors while VT2's colors are "softer" in comparison which I think looks a bit more pleasing to me.
The graphics in the dungeons remains pretty mediocre and uninspiring, but they weren't very noticeable as I went through my exploration runs.
MUSIC
The music style hasn't changed much either. The dungeon music range from upbeat techno music to relaxing atmospheric ones. I think the quality is roughly the same for both games so I still enjoyed the music here.
GAMEPLAY
At its core, the gameplay loop for VT2 is nearly the same as VT1. Go to the dungeons, reach the end or until you die, collect any blueprints and materials you find along the way, return to the Terrarium hub, feed and interact with Toriko before going back to the dungeons.
This is part rogue-lite so your level and skills obtained will reset back to the default each time you die or return to the Terrarium. Items obtained are converted into one of the four main resources in the game which are used to craft things. Resources are noticeably more in abundance this time around even Contaminated ones so you can craft most of the blueprints as you obtain them. The items you do keep are food items, blueprints, and special items needed to craft blueprints.
Fortunately, these games aren't too challenging in progressing compared to other rogue games. You can permanently increase your stats by crafting blueprints. All of them except for clothing related ones come with a permanent stat upgrade when crafting it for the first time. It gives you a steady pacing of progression just like a typical JRPG so it's not too demanding or stressful on the player.
The core gameplay loop aside, there are some new changes and mechanics.
DUNGEONS
Dungeons are now connected with each other so instead of picking one dungeon from a list and then going directly to them, you start at the same one in the beginning and then eventually get to branch out at the later ones during the same expedition. It was annoying at first that you have to keep running through the same dungeons just to reach other dungeons, but fortunately, you will eventually get shortcuts that allows you to skip ahead. Although, you might not always want to do that considering your level will always be at one at the start and the tough enemies found in the later dungeons do not scale down to you.
New to dungeons are the portals that randomly appears on a floor and will transport you to a random mystery room. The concept is similar to the Mystery Rooms in the Disgaea games, but aren't as varied. Nevertheless, they provide helpful benefits for entering them which includes items and even a bonus temporary skill. Probably most important is the room with the gem trader.

You can collect gems for completing various tasks. The time allowed for the tasks reset after a set amount of expeditions, but are generally very simple to do. The tasks mostly involve defeating a certain type of enemies x amount of times, use an item x amount of times or just clear a specific dungeon. The gems can be used to trade for special items from the trader. The concept sounds nice in theory, but I found it to be not as good as I'd liked.

First, it takes a while to accumulate a decent amount of gems. The reset period is often too long so there is a noticeable gap as to when your supply just stops increasing for a while. The second issue I had was that the gem trader's appearance is too reliant on RNG. It's already random if a mystery room portal would appear, but there's a second level of RNG with its appearance too. If the trader's inventory was just decent and not that important, then I wouldn't be bothered as much. However, the trader has many exclusive robot customization blueprints so being able to get them is key to creating and customizing for fun builds.

Other than the above points, the dungeons and its mechanics remains the same. Dungeon layouts are randomly generated so none of the floors are fixed.
In addition to the returning Endless Dungeon where time stops outside and you can go on an infinite dungeon expedition until you die, there's a new optional Danger Zone dungeon. This actually consists of five separate dungeons each with a noticeably higher difficulty. All of them have only 11 layers with the first and last completely voided of enemies. The first layer has four random items to start with. The last has unique blueprints on the first run and the special exclusive Gold materials needed to make them. These blueprints are meant to be made multiple times to essentially power up for the end/post game. Most are stat upgrades, but others provide certain effect upgrades like Critical Chance % Up.
Each Danger Zone level is meant to prepare you for the next one considering the high difficulty of each subsequent one. The optional dungeons are great if you want to reach an even higher level of power than before, but it can be a pain to clear. Other than simply power grinding the permanent stats for it which may take a long time, it heavily relies on good RNG to clear them otherwise. The initial items you get are very important to determine how you fare and in many cases, make or break your expedition.
TORIKO CARE
Other than enemies and the items in the dungeons, you have to pay attention to Toriko's condition while she's left back at the Terrarium. The tamagotchi-like image in the bottom left corner of the screen will reflect her condition. The hearts represents her health gauge which if she loses all of it, will be a Game Over. The Pet Nanny system is available right at the start and allows you to deal with the issues that will routinely arise such as clean the terrarium or play with her. The system is usable anytime during an expedition at the cost of some EN points. A new function allows you to even feed her food that you already have. It does not recover any hearts like when you feed her directly back at the Terrarium, but it will at least stop her hunger momentarily and prevent her from losing any more hearts.
Even if you prevent her from losing all of the hearts, if you let her Terrarium continue to pile up the dirt without promptly cleaning it, she may fall ill regardless. The same would happen if she gets bored and you don't play with her.
In regards to her illness, many of them return along with some new ones. They range from minor tame ones like Toriko suddenly become pixelated to more disturbing nightmare fueled ones. Treating them is a bit different this time around too. Before, an illness would unlock a temporary new dungeon that has the material needed to treat it. This time, all of the materials needed will be placed in one of the currently available dungeons. Furthermore, the time duration to cure her has been extended for some of the illness. It just took one expedition to normally cure her before, but a few now requires multiple expeditions and it's not because more materials are needed. It's because it just takes several expeditions for Toriko to recover after administering the medication. For some, it can take up to 5 expeditions which can be a hassle. You can't advance the story while Toriko is ill or while she is recovering from an illness.
COMBAT
The combat itself hasn't changed much. Despite how it may seem, the underlying mechanic for the combat is turn-based. Characters move on an invisible grid and each action takes a turn. If you're standing completely still, then enemies don't attack or move. Any action other than simply changing the direction you are facing counts as a turn. That said, some of the higher tier enemies are allowed multiple actions per turn up to about three. In those cases, those enemies can attack or move more than once before you can take a subsequent action. With these information in mind, you can slowly take your time to calculate your next move and approach accordingly adding a decent layer of strategy to the game.
It's worth noting that health will regenerate at a slow pace unless you're poisoned. It is also based on turns so if you stand completely still, your health will not regenerate.
Other than attacking with melee, you can throw bombs at enemies. In addition, you can activate gadget items for various effects. Active Skills are high powered attack skills with various effects and can be very strong. The drawbacks to them are the turn cooldown after using them and that they cost EN to use each time. EN is Robbie's endurance gauge which continuously drains as you go through the dungeons. Once it reaches 0, your health regeneration stops and instead, health starts to decrease instead. EN can be recovered using items like Batteries.

One new notable change with the combat mechanics involve the weapons, armors and the Active Skills. With Active Skills before, you have a chance to learn them on level up as a random skill. Now, they aren't included as part of the pool anymore and are instead attached to weapons as a skill there. You can level up weapons with continuous use. Each new level unlocks a passive skill or effect which may include a straight stat boost or a new Active Skill. It was fun to unlock new levels especially since they are permanent upgrades. If you find the weapon type again on a subsequent expedition, the level will be the same as where it left off before giving an additional sense of progression in this game.
Armors have their own levels and effects as well
The biggest change with the combat comes from the skills you get on leveling up. The skills seems to have been re-balanced with many new ones. The OP builds from the first game don't exist anymore especially with the high criticals and evasion builds based on the mods in your inventory. The evasion skills in general have practically been removed other than maybe one. It took out part of the fun for me, but at least this game gave more varied builds to work with instead. The addition of the different weapon and armor effects also help in creating different builds.
ROBOT CUSTOMIZATION
While the vast majority of blueprints consists of Terrarium objects, there are some that directly affects the customization and builds you can experiment with. First are the Knacks which are labeled like various job classes (Fighter, Assassin, Berserker, etc..). They affect the type of skills that are more likely to appear on level up. So for Offensive Oriented Knacks like Berserker, more offensive related skills would more likely to appear. You can have up to 3 Knacks equipped to further focus on a combination of skills.
You can equip up to four customization parts which have various effects including decrease chance of a specific tier of skills to show up on level up. You can also have three or four skills show up on level up instead of the default 2. Finally, you can also have a chance at picking an additional skill instead of just one for each level up.
The last major customization mechanic is the Skill Removal. The general Skill Removal blueprints allows you to outright remove specific skills from even appearing at all thus increasing the chances of obtaining the other skills.
The combination of the three major customization functions in addition to the weapon/armomods you can find, all help to create a build you can experiment with for a more varied experience.
TERRARIUM
Customizing the Terrarium was surprisingly addicting in VT1 and a big component of why I enjoyed these games so it was great to see that it has been improved greatly in VT2. The new Terrarium has a flat ceiling and side which makes it seemingly larger in size than the previous one. This allows you to fit more things inside which will delight people who are fans of the customization. The number of different Terrarium blueprints are quite large which includes many (if not all) of the ones from VT1 and its DLC.
The new atmosphere type objects will change the Terrarium BGM if you include enough of them inside
NIS took it one step further by adding up to three total Terrariums to use at a time and even allow saving Terrarium settings so you may quickly switch back and forth.
The Terrariums aren't connected directly so Toriko won't be able to cross one to another by herself. You would have to manually hold Toriko's hand and walk with her to another one. Fortunately, the distance between each one are noticeably small so it's not a long trip.
To my great delight, Toriko will interact with more things now such as picking up a feather duster and dusting some objects. She will even dust Robbie at times. A fun past time that involves Robbie is playing catch with her which has them throwing a ball back and forth between the two.

A major new function of the Terrarium now involves growing plants and small trees. You can craft a seed which would quickly grow so that you can eventually harvest them. When you harvest a plant, you get to use it as a Terrarium object, but more importantly, you can obtain various "Cores" which are items needed to craft some blueprints. It is annoying that harvesting a Core is random and not a guarantee.
You can also obtain clothing blueprints from harvesting. Fortunately, you get a new seed after harvesting so you don't have to craft new ones unless you want to grow multiple at a time.
The growing process is short in steps, but does take a while to complete in-game. It goes through three phases which starts with the planted seed, half grown and then full maturity. It takes one expedition to reach the half grown phase and then another to fully grow it. You have to water it one time each for the first two phases. It's a simple process, but having to go through two expeditions just to reach full maturity for harvest does take longer than I'd liked. Especially considering it's not a guarantee to get a Core from it or a clothing Blueprint.
There is an added layer for growing plants that can be tricky at times depending on how many concurrent different plants you are growing together. Each plant requires the Terrarium's temperature and humidity to fall within a certain range for it to actually grow. Temperature and humidity slightly fluctuates after every expedition, but to make significant adjustments to them, you can install electronics like heaters or various Terrarium plants/objects to change the values. If you're growing just one plant or multiple copies of one type of plant, then it's not really an issue dealing with that. But if you're growing different ones together then getting the right amount to overlap can be tricky. Furthermore, extreme temperature and humidity can get Toriko sick if she's inside that specific Terrarium.
It's nice to see Toriko helping out, but it does not count as watered if she does it
Overall, it's a nice new mechanic to the game even if I had some issues with how they worked.
SIDEQUESTS
For those that have played VT1, it might be surprising to hear about the existence of sidequests. They do in fact exist in VT2 and they actually make up a large portion of the overall game. The sidequests consists of mostly fetch quests where you have to find certain items in the dungeons and then bringing it back to craft something else. It doesn't sound all that interesting, but you can take care of those along with any story related expedition at the same time so it's not really going out of the way too much. The rewards are more blueprints which are very helpful.
Surprisingly, I thought the story related to these quests are quite good. I got emotionally invested in a number of them and despite the large amount of them, they are very well worth completing just to experience that. That said, most of the story isn't directly related to the main story.
FINAL REMARKS
Overall, VT2 is very much like VT1, but with a bit more content and changes. Fans of VT1 will likely enjoy what VT2 has to offer, but those that were expecting a full blown set of changes and additions to the overall game might be disappointed with it.
The story has its relaxing moments, but as expected, some pretty powerful emotional moments as well. The endings had lingered in my mind days after viewing them. The more focused story direction early on is appreciated.
I had mixed feelings about the new skills and its rebalance, but trying to experiment with new builds was still an enjoyable process.
While VT2 does directly follow right after VT1, you can technically jump straight to VT2 and understand much of it since VT1 wasn't that plot heavy to begin with. That said, I highly recommend starting with the first game to familiarize and appreciate the characters and the world. It makes the events of VT2 much more powerful and meaningful if you do.
I sincerely hope that a third game will be developed which will be a Day 1 purchase for me.

INTRODUCTION
Back in 2020, NIS released void tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium (VT1) which didn't seem to sell particularly well. The game remained quite unknown to many people to this day even when compared with other NIS' niche games. Despite that, the game had won the hearts of a small fanbase with its fun rogue-lite combat loop, the charming characters and the surprising emotional story beats. About 3 years later, the sequel finally gets released in the west. For people new to the games, I highly recommend checking out my Review of the first game since it will cover overlapping content that aren't necessarily covered here.
Void tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium 2 (VT2) is essentially more of the same from the first game, but with some new gameplay changes.
STORY
VT2 begins right after the events of the first game and the Terrarium trio has moved to a new location. In addition to adapting to their new home, they also start investigating into Toriko's origins, the last surviving human on the planet.
Like the first game, VT2's story is filled with happy and sad moments that did an excellent job of making me interested in seeing where the story was heading to despite not a whole lot actually does happen. Fans of the first game will most likely feel the same level of investment here. What VT2 does different and a bit better is that there is a story direction right at the start. It didn't feel as aimless as seen in the majority of VT1.
If you wanted another roller coaster of emotions, then VT2 is the ticket that delivers. I didn't expect to experience the same level of raw emotions as the first game, but the second game had surprisingly exceeded it.
CHARACTERS
The three returning characters are as lovable as they were in the first game. They haven't really changed much either. Robbie is still the loyal and kind robot. FactoryAI is still the very expressive chatterbox, but her fondness for Toriko may have reached a new level.

As for Toriko, she remains as cute and adorable as ever, but her new animations and interactions have allowed her to seemingly express even more of herself than before.

ART DIRECTION/GRAPHICS
The graphics hasn't changed a whole lot from what I noticed. It is still quite beautiful during the Terrarium scenes. VT1 seems to have more vibrant colors while VT2's colors are "softer" in comparison which I think looks a bit more pleasing to me.
The graphics in the dungeons remains pretty mediocre and uninspiring, but they weren't very noticeable as I went through my exploration runs.
MUSIC
The music style hasn't changed much either. The dungeon music range from upbeat techno music to relaxing atmospheric ones. I think the quality is roughly the same for both games so I still enjoyed the music here.
GAMEPLAY
At its core, the gameplay loop for VT2 is nearly the same as VT1. Go to the dungeons, reach the end or until you die, collect any blueprints and materials you find along the way, return to the Terrarium hub, feed and interact with Toriko before going back to the dungeons.
This is part rogue-lite so your level and skills obtained will reset back to the default each time you die or return to the Terrarium. Items obtained are converted into one of the four main resources in the game which are used to craft things. Resources are noticeably more in abundance this time around even Contaminated ones so you can craft most of the blueprints as you obtain them. The items you do keep are food items, blueprints, and special items needed to craft blueprints.
Fortunately, these games aren't too challenging in progressing compared to other rogue games. You can permanently increase your stats by crafting blueprints. All of them except for clothing related ones come with a permanent stat upgrade when crafting it for the first time. It gives you a steady pacing of progression just like a typical JRPG so it's not too demanding or stressful on the player.
The core gameplay loop aside, there are some new changes and mechanics.
DUNGEONS
Dungeons are now connected with each other so instead of picking one dungeon from a list and then going directly to them, you start at the same one in the beginning and then eventually get to branch out at the later ones during the same expedition. It was annoying at first that you have to keep running through the same dungeons just to reach other dungeons, but fortunately, you will eventually get shortcuts that allows you to skip ahead. Although, you might not always want to do that considering your level will always be at one at the start and the tough enemies found in the later dungeons do not scale down to you.
New to dungeons are the portals that randomly appears on a floor and will transport you to a random mystery room. The concept is similar to the Mystery Rooms in the Disgaea games, but aren't as varied. Nevertheless, they provide helpful benefits for entering them which includes items and even a bonus temporary skill. Probably most important is the room with the gem trader.

You can collect gems for completing various tasks. The time allowed for the tasks reset after a set amount of expeditions, but are generally very simple to do. The tasks mostly involve defeating a certain type of enemies x amount of times, use an item x amount of times or just clear a specific dungeon. The gems can be used to trade for special items from the trader. The concept sounds nice in theory, but I found it to be not as good as I'd liked.

First, it takes a while to accumulate a decent amount of gems. The reset period is often too long so there is a noticeable gap as to when your supply just stops increasing for a while. The second issue I had was that the gem trader's appearance is too reliant on RNG. It's already random if a mystery room portal would appear, but there's a second level of RNG with its appearance too. If the trader's inventory was just decent and not that important, then I wouldn't be bothered as much. However, the trader has many exclusive robot customization blueprints so being able to get them is key to creating and customizing for fun builds.

Other than the above points, the dungeons and its mechanics remains the same. Dungeon layouts are randomly generated so none of the floors are fixed.
In addition to the returning Endless Dungeon where time stops outside and you can go on an infinite dungeon expedition until you die, there's a new optional Danger Zone dungeon. This actually consists of five separate dungeons each with a noticeably higher difficulty. All of them have only 11 layers with the first and last completely voided of enemies. The first layer has four random items to start with. The last has unique blueprints on the first run and the special exclusive Gold materials needed to make them. These blueprints are meant to be made multiple times to essentially power up for the end/post game. Most are stat upgrades, but others provide certain effect upgrades like Critical Chance % Up.
Each Danger Zone level is meant to prepare you for the next one considering the high difficulty of each subsequent one. The optional dungeons are great if you want to reach an even higher level of power than before, but it can be a pain to clear. Other than simply power grinding the permanent stats for it which may take a long time, it heavily relies on good RNG to clear them otherwise. The initial items you get are very important to determine how you fare and in many cases, make or break your expedition.
TORIKO CARE
Other than enemies and the items in the dungeons, you have to pay attention to Toriko's condition while she's left back at the Terrarium. The tamagotchi-like image in the bottom left corner of the screen will reflect her condition. The hearts represents her health gauge which if she loses all of it, will be a Game Over. The Pet Nanny system is available right at the start and allows you to deal with the issues that will routinely arise such as clean the terrarium or play with her. The system is usable anytime during an expedition at the cost of some EN points. A new function allows you to even feed her food that you already have. It does not recover any hearts like when you feed her directly back at the Terrarium, but it will at least stop her hunger momentarily and prevent her from losing any more hearts.
Even if you prevent her from losing all of the hearts, if you let her Terrarium continue to pile up the dirt without promptly cleaning it, she may fall ill regardless. The same would happen if she gets bored and you don't play with her.
In regards to her illness, many of them return along with some new ones. They range from minor tame ones like Toriko suddenly become pixelated to more disturbing nightmare fueled ones. Treating them is a bit different this time around too. Before, an illness would unlock a temporary new dungeon that has the material needed to treat it. This time, all of the materials needed will be placed in one of the currently available dungeons. Furthermore, the time duration to cure her has been extended for some of the illness. It just took one expedition to normally cure her before, but a few now requires multiple expeditions and it's not because more materials are needed. It's because it just takes several expeditions for Toriko to recover after administering the medication. For some, it can take up to 5 expeditions which can be a hassle. You can't advance the story while Toriko is ill or while she is recovering from an illness.
COMBAT
The combat itself hasn't changed much. Despite how it may seem, the underlying mechanic for the combat is turn-based. Characters move on an invisible grid and each action takes a turn. If you're standing completely still, then enemies don't attack or move. Any action other than simply changing the direction you are facing counts as a turn. That said, some of the higher tier enemies are allowed multiple actions per turn up to about three. In those cases, those enemies can attack or move more than once before you can take a subsequent action. With these information in mind, you can slowly take your time to calculate your next move and approach accordingly adding a decent layer of strategy to the game.
It's worth noting that health will regenerate at a slow pace unless you're poisoned. It is also based on turns so if you stand completely still, your health will not regenerate.
Other than attacking with melee, you can throw bombs at enemies. In addition, you can activate gadget items for various effects. Active Skills are high powered attack skills with various effects and can be very strong. The drawbacks to them are the turn cooldown after using them and that they cost EN to use each time. EN is Robbie's endurance gauge which continuously drains as you go through the dungeons. Once it reaches 0, your health regeneration stops and instead, health starts to decrease instead. EN can be recovered using items like Batteries.

One new notable change with the combat mechanics involve the weapons, armors and the Active Skills. With Active Skills before, you have a chance to learn them on level up as a random skill. Now, they aren't included as part of the pool anymore and are instead attached to weapons as a skill there. You can level up weapons with continuous use. Each new level unlocks a passive skill or effect which may include a straight stat boost or a new Active Skill. It was fun to unlock new levels especially since they are permanent upgrades. If you find the weapon type again on a subsequent expedition, the level will be the same as where it left off before giving an additional sense of progression in this game.
Armors have their own levels and effects as well
The biggest change with the combat comes from the skills you get on leveling up. The skills seems to have been re-balanced with many new ones. The OP builds from the first game don't exist anymore especially with the high criticals and evasion builds based on the mods in your inventory. The evasion skills in general have practically been removed other than maybe one. It took out part of the fun for me, but at least this game gave more varied builds to work with instead. The addition of the different weapon and armor effects also help in creating different builds.
ROBOT CUSTOMIZATION
While the vast majority of blueprints consists of Terrarium objects, there are some that directly affects the customization and builds you can experiment with. First are the Knacks which are labeled like various job classes (Fighter, Assassin, Berserker, etc..). They affect the type of skills that are more likely to appear on level up. So for Offensive Oriented Knacks like Berserker, more offensive related skills would more likely to appear. You can have up to 3 Knacks equipped to further focus on a combination of skills.
You can equip up to four customization parts which have various effects including decrease chance of a specific tier of skills to show up on level up. You can also have three or four skills show up on level up instead of the default 2. Finally, you can also have a chance at picking an additional skill instead of just one for each level up.
The last major customization mechanic is the Skill Removal. The general Skill Removal blueprints allows you to outright remove specific skills from even appearing at all thus increasing the chances of obtaining the other skills.
The combination of the three major customization functions in addition to the weapon/armomods you can find, all help to create a build you can experiment with for a more varied experience.
TERRARIUM
Customizing the Terrarium was surprisingly addicting in VT1 and a big component of why I enjoyed these games so it was great to see that it has been improved greatly in VT2. The new Terrarium has a flat ceiling and side which makes it seemingly larger in size than the previous one. This allows you to fit more things inside which will delight people who are fans of the customization. The number of different Terrarium blueprints are quite large which includes many (if not all) of the ones from VT1 and its DLC.

NIS took it one step further by adding up to three total Terrariums to use at a time and even allow saving Terrarium settings so you may quickly switch back and forth.
The Terrariums aren't connected directly so Toriko won't be able to cross one to another by herself. You would have to manually hold Toriko's hand and walk with her to another one. Fortunately, the distance between each one are noticeably small so it's not a long trip.

Like many other Western Australians, I woke up Tuesday morning to a newspaper back page that made my skin crawl a little. I felt some anger, I felt some empathy but, overall, I actually felt embarrassed.
It featured a full page of newly recruited Fremantle Docker Luke Jackson. Attached to a picture of the young ruck was a price tag – pricing his marks-per-game at a high figure – under the headline ‘No action Jackson’. The piece focused on the lack of return Fremantle have had on their investment in Jackson after the first two rounds.
Jackson hasn’t played well in his first two games but nor has Fremantle. They have started the season at 0-2 and go into this weekend’s Western Derby in a must-win situation.
They have their issues. They’ve been beaten around the ball, their ball movement has seemed stale at times and their forward-mid connection has been poor. Their new ruck combination of Sean Darcy and Jackson hasn’t clicked either, yet.
But Jackson is just 21 years old.
Ruckmen often fully develop well into their 20s.
And has played only two games at a new club.
He is far from Fremantle’s biggest on-field issue.
No player is immune from criticism. In fact, that’s very much a part of the job. You should expect it as a player, especially if you aren’t performing to standard. Footy is a performance industry, one which holds huge public interest and investment, and if you aren’t at your best people and the media should have an avenue to speak about that.
The issue I have with the back page in question is the targeted, dehumanising focus on such a young player. The price tag, which portrays him as a commodity and not a person. The belittling headline. All directed at a player barely out of his teens and based on a minute sample size of games.
I know there is a potential mental health impact on young players in this regard, but I don’t like to overdramatise this aspect. There is a level of criticism you need to be able to deal with as a player. It’s a part of the game we love.
This is an industry wide issue, not just a solitary incident. In my experience, athletes don’t have great levels of trust in the media generally. Of course there are some great operators working with athletes in Australia; people who treat all with respect, don’t abuse the access and operate in good faith. But the actions of some others have left a lot of athletes with a sour taste when it comes to media interaction.
This is a generalisation, just like the one that gets made about players when a scandal emerges or an indiscretion is revealed. In both cases, you can’t paint all with the same brush, but people do anyway.
I’ve had plenty of great experiences with the media.
I’ve also been door stopped, ambushed, misquoted and misrepresented. I have had opinions aired about me personally from individuals who wouldn’t know the slightest thing about me or my life.
Back in my playing days, I became close with a journalist who was on a similar journey to me. They moved to Perth around the same time I did. I respected their writing, focusing on in-depth pieces. And, above all, he was a good bloke (and still is, for the record.)
Ahead of my 100th game, I promised this journalist a sit-down interview to talk about the milestone – an achievement I was extremely proud of at the time. It meant a lot to me, personally, and my family. We spoke about all things football, my journey and the battles I’d had along the way.
To finish the interview, the journalist asked about an incident from the season prior. I was out with friends in my hometown of Geelong and king hit in an unprovoked attack, fracturing both my eye sockets and cheekbone. I was knocked unconscious. It could have easily been the worst possible result. An individual was charged and prosecuted.
I was happy to speak about the incident. I’ve always been an open and honest person when dealing with the media. There’s never been a question I haven’t answered. But given the milestone and my families interest in the piece, I was keen to keep the interaction out of the article. I made it clear that I wanted the article to focus on football.
To my surprise the next day, I opened the newspaper to read the headline along the lines of: “Schofield survives one punch attack to reach milestone.” The article then went on to describe the attack at length, with my footballing journey a very distant focus.
The first call I got was from Mum, who was in tears. A casualty nurse, Mum calls a spade a spade. She was with me in Geelong when the king hit happened and knew all about the incident. She also knew how much my 100th game, and football generally, meant to me.
It was disappointing to say the least.
I was shattered.
I felt like something that I thought was about footy had instead become focused on an off field incident. I called the journalist, who blamed his editor at the time. Maybe it was the bosses fault. Maybe it wasn’t. I’ve always been taught to take responsibility for your own actions and to live by your decisions. I felt I had been betrayed. These sorts of incidents aren’t isolated.
The Jackson back page is something many footy players past and present have experienced.
Their legacy is to further erode the trust between media and athletes.
In the end, I think we have to be better as a media industry covering the sport. It’s an elite environment, a performance-based environment, but we must always remember that everyone involved is, above all else, a human being.
A final point: I find myself in quite a unique position.
Now working in the media, Will Schofield has experienced both sides of the ledger.
I have been the subject of a back page story. It didn’t feel good. And I’ve been the author of a story that ended up on the back page of papers nationally. And that didn’t feel good either.
So, just like I am calling for some sensitivity around targeting young players, the same should apply to individual journalists and writers when appropriate. Readers invariably pin the responsibility for an article on the journalist in the byline field, but headlines and images often fall outside of their control.
In the Jackson case, some criticism has been directed at the journalist which, like the player, is warranted to an extent. But I think the back page speaks more about the publication than the writer. In a city like Perth, if you are a sportswriter, there aren’t many alternative avenues for work than the main paper in town. If you want to write about sport, that’s pretty much your only option.
I have empathy for the journalist in this situation, too.

The story is from an unsuccessful applicant this year. I decided to summarize some mistakes and accentuate what could've been improved.
Some backgrounds:
There are always resources at a university; going to a lower-ranked university might give me a better opportunity to receive educational resources since there's less competition and a lot of cases, a higher GPA as well. Due to the reason that competitions in academia are more fierce than competition between college applicants, teachers in a lower-ranked university are always gonna capable of teaching Undergraduate level courses; if not, there are always numerous textbooks and video lectures online for reference.
I do not want to self-deceive, and college is indeed a crucial part of my life that will probably be remembered forever, yet I do feel like making mistakes at this early stage of life allows greater freedom for reflection and improvements - before I got too old to stop admitting my mistakes. I can't imagine if my ego is yet boosted again by getting into a good college of my choice and what it will end up being. Some are naturally destined to fail many times and be destroyed many times, but people are not born to be defeated. If you are a person in my situation and still want to be a part of your dream college, transferring, obtaining a master, a Ph.D., or even teaching at that school are options.
At the end of the day, getting into a good college is not the only way to success; in fact, the middle class and mediocre students seem to underscore this ordinary investment unduly. As far as I see, of my friends that got into schools like Stanford, Caltech, or MIT, none seems to take this business too seriously. This passage is mainly for my own reflection and future improvement. If someone reads to this point, how about let's solve the Jane Stree puzzle of this month? I've solved it once, and It brings me as much fulfillment as being accepted into any school on this planet.

An analysis of Creatures of Sonaria: What can we learn from this game both good and bad
Hello, today I’ll be going into a deep dive of creatures of sonaria, a mini history lesson of the game, and some of the issue that plaque the game to this day. Note: some of the content of this may be based on personal opinions and as such you are welcome to make your own opinions as well. Also this is not meant to point hate on the game or devs. This is simply an analysis on some of the good and bad apsects of creature survival games utilized in this game and what future game devs can learn from this game.
first, little bit about me amd this post. im a game design student and I love to analyze and study games both good and bad to learn from them. Creature survival games has always had a rocky history both on roblox and outside of roblox. usually being drama related issues or overall design related issues, some of the most popular games in the genre being the Isle, Path of Titans, and of course Creatures of Sonaria. I have recently become fascinated with Roblox games as it’s a unique look into early developers as many game devs from roblox are relatively younger and as such you get a good view into games from smaller teams and how they work despicably from a live game system like roblox. So let’s get started. consider this like one of those video analysis people watch on youtube except you get to read it instead of drawing in the background because we all know we don’t actually watch the person talking the whole time. hopefully, I can be just as entertaining but that’s not really a promise, sorry.
Part 1: COS’s early beginning and ideas: games based on FOMO
so I actually played Creatures of Sonaria (CoS for short) way back from the game was in its early beta testing days. Back then the game was actually not called Sonaria as the dev team had not made Sonar Studios yet. The lead dev of the Game (and at least at the time that I’m aware of is still the lead dev) is a coder and modeler known as Erythia. Erythia and the team, now known as Sonar studios, is more well known for their initial hit game “Dragon Adventures” (DA for short) which is still a very popular and highly rated game on the platfrom. It’s a dragon raising game with lots of customization options. Of course not every dev from that project had a hand in the creation of CoS as both games were still being updated and worked on at the same time.
the earliest mentions of CoA (now CoS) was back in 2019. The earliest the goal for the game was to create a creature survival game while using Gacha game elements (for some who don’t know or are one of the rare few that haven’t heard of a game genshin impact before) Gacha games are essentially a chance based game mechanic where you have a percentage of winning characters or items from a group of prizes each with their own level of rarity. From a roblox perspective this was likely added to help with the appeal and returning interesting of the game. Sonar Studios is not new to how roblox gets players to come back to their games.
one of the biggest hurdles in making a game on roblox is the fact that almost every game is based on a live service concept. This means in order to keep interest, constant updates are a must (and trust me this will be a big deal in CoS development issues but I’ll get into that later). Roblox is very big on devs making profit from the amount of people playing the games and for how long they play at a time. So in order to remain in good profits, many roblox devs are basically forced to make addictive measures like this to get a nice steady profit. Sonar Studios used another method tho that’s just a popularly used by other roblox devs and what later became the biggest downfall (in my opinion) of the games core. FOMO
trading and rarity items/characters is one of those addictive cores of many roblox games. One of the most popular roblox games of all time “Adopt Me” was practically built on the principles of rarity and trading. It’s easy to get hooked on collecting every creature or item in a game and it stems greatly from an instinctual feeling on wanting to not be left out of the crowd that has the cool items. More commonly known by the acronym: FOMO (Fear of Missing out); if you have ever played DA or CoS you have very likely heard the words “it’s my dream *blank*” or “OMG it’s a *blank*“, I’ve always wanted one” These are usually clues of FOMO working as lots of these rare creatures are being seen and used by other players all the time. Trading helps to increase this feeling by giving players a chance to obatin these rare items in way that doesn't feel impossible. You will always see people offering creatures for other creatures and in a way it can promote a healthier form of FOMO by not gatekeeping creature entirely. But it doesn’t really fix the problem as a whole as this can only be used by players as a way to flex even more. But this is less of an issue for DA as its not a gacha like CoS. it’s a bonus feature in DA while in CoS its the core. And this is where the ambition of the game and the initial concept start to run into problems.
CoS suffers the worst from being a gacha game on top of a creature survival because both ideas are extremely taxing to work on separately let alone together. In order to contunue this supply and demand of rarity and creatures, CoS has been pulled into this endless production of Creatures to model and create. They get some help with this by allowing the fans to pitch concepts and designs and pay them in robux for their efforts. But this creates a bit of issues regrading designs and concepts. Obviously not every design is going to be entirety original and while having reference is a good thing, there no denying that some of these designs are in a very dangerous spot for copyrighted issues. Take the Auraron for example when comparing it to a creature from the Monster Hunter video game series: Mizustune

they both bear a very strong resemblance, both having a similar shape and fins. Now, I don’t think the designer intended to copy mizustune part for part. However it is always important to be careful when designing something based on another creature to not make it too obvious (unless of course you want it to be for the sake of parody but thats very likely not the situation here), you will want to add a fair amount of your own flair in the design, less you catch the eyes of unfortunate lawsuits and copyrighted issues. Of course i don’t think Capcom is keeping their eyes on roblox games so the devs probably don’t care as much, but it is always something to think about. From what I have been told, there’s been a lot more drama related to issues like this in the past with the Sonar Team, I’m here to talk about the game design tho and not drama. Mistakes happen and that’s just a part of growing as a dev and a person, so I’m not going to really discuss it too much here. I just wanted to mention this as it is still a part of the design process that should be discussed as it’s something to be careful of.
Regarding the creatures tho besides this matter, this is by far the most intricate and amazing part of this game. The creatures have beautiful designs and animations especially for a roblox game. I need to give applause where it’s due. Having this many creatures each with their own movement is incredible and it helps to add a sense of variety more than just the designs alone. Seeing how each creature move and interacts is such a fascination. They also do a good job as keeping a consistent theme by resisting creature to fit the style of CoS which is vital in making a creature world fit together. You always want to make sure you creatures look like they belong in a consistent world (unless of course they aren’t suppose to be from the same world). They also due a great job as making the models by utilizing bigger polygons than hundred of timy pieces which helps the models not lag the game horrible. Sometimes it almost looks like a deformed mesh despite being segmented. a lot of that is thanks to have fluid the animations are. from running to swimming to idle, everything is taken into account and it’s clearly an incredible amount of work.

part 2: the core players of CoS: what is Oasis Syndrome and how do you prevent it?

let’s step away from all the creatures and collecting and let’s talk about the overall gameplay. As with most creature survival games the core idea is to survive by eating, drinking, hunting, fighting, and growing. Seems simple enough but a lot goes into making this process work because this game is reliant on the players to follow along the rules of the game in order for this concept to work as whole. The games ecosystem is basically ran by the players around you. Sometimes as a dev you have to remember that she making games where you play as wild animals, are basically making Humans think like wild animals and it’s a hard thing to achieve without rule set in place to create this behavior in the gameplay, because obviously humans aren’t wild animals and will not think as such by nature even when the rules are in the form of a fictional game. Which creates the number one biggest issue of any creature survival game and what I like to call “the oasis syndrome”
oasis syndrome is what I believe to be a by product of the natural need to be around other humans. Video games can be a great way to connect to people and hang out and when given a game where you can play as cool animals, sometimes it’s hard to get people to separate and hunt each other when everyone just wants to chat and hang out while showing off and flexing their cool creature. This means players will find a spot in the games map and universally choose it to be the “hang out spot” of the server resulting in ”Oasis Syndrome”. This also means that the players that are suppose to hunt each other will now be chilling in one area and just be “laying around chatting”. Good for a rolepay, not good for a creature survival game. because what happens if a player wants to play the game how it’s meant to be played? Well anyone who has played as a Ken and “just needed some food” know how this goes down. you are labeled as a “KOSER” (Kill on sight player) and attacked by the whole oasis.
So how do you fix this? well some other games ideas like the Isle and Path of Titans was to create different servers with admins that have the ability to enforce these rules, sometimes known as realism servers. But with roblox, unless you own a private server with dev controls you wont be able to do efficiently. Also, these servers have a bad history of admins abusing their powers. Sonar has had a few different ideas in the past to fix this issue but haven’t managed to fully fix the problem yet. At first they added an uncomfortably meter that would add debuffs the longer you were around other members not in your pack. But players simply ignored this and would leave and come right back. Another idea was to make forced situations like tornados that forced players out, but that didn’t work either as They all came right back. I think a core reason why this is such a big issue for CoS is the other half of the game, the Gacha aspect. Because what is the first thing you want to do when you get a cool new thing? You want to show it off! in order to do that you need to be around other players, so of course, everyone is going to group up. It’s why the Auction area in DA is so popular, because it’s basically a place to show off and get attention and it adds to that FOMO response and satisfaction. so, the big question is…can you fix this? Well, while I don’t think you can fully prevent this, their are someways you can maybe patch the damage, but it’s not gonna be well liked at first.
on way to encourage people to not flock together is to remove features that allow people to gather in the first place. One of the key ways players communicate in game is via global chat. Now I’ve seen roblox games where chat can be toggled to only show up in proximity to your player rather than a global chat and groups can have separate global chats. This was actually used in the Isle recently to help with their form of Oasis syndrome and it did manage to fix a bit of the problems. It helps to make you as a player focus more on yourself rather than communication with other players and adds to the lone survival experience. Another very glaring issue with CoS specifically is how they manage food. For a long time now, the devs have had meat simply spawn from specific areas in intervals. So in the eyes of a carnivorous player, why would they go to hunt if they can just sit here and get food for free? Back in the early days of the games testing, AI players were implemented and although they were a bit broken, they helped keep players moving and encouraged proper exploration for them as they were randomly spawned. Maybe something similar to the Path of Titans form of hunting, where you could find holes that initiated an AI chase could help with those coding issue while improving overall hunting mechanics. It also might be a good idea to encourage players to hunt other players in order to make the game less boring for both sides. Give them a chance to have that incredible rush of adrenaline and exciment because that’s also a way to add replay value and interest in players just as much as cool designs. But that also bring me to my next big point and another reason why gacha and creature survival is a hard thing to put together.

part 3: balancing and combat: why gacha does and doesn't work in Creature survivals

when playing a creature survival variety and combat is a big part of the game. You don’t want to see the same creature every time you play because it just gets boring. CoS is by no means shy of this. In fact I’d argue it has the largest roster I’ve ever seen in a creature survival game. And of course this is because it’s a gacha. But as some famous person I can’t remember has said “too much of a good thing can be a bad thing” and this can’t be said more for a creature survival because part of a live service creature survival game is combat. Combat is a tricky part of any creature survival game because you have to balance every creature to work together in a way that doesn’t overpower everyone while still considering the different play styles of each creatures. Why? Well, let me give this example: there is one apex predator in the game. It has insane stats and can kill almost everything in the game, so guess what starts to happen? everyone plays as said creature because no one else can beat said creature and it’s taking over the servers. Suddenly there can be twenty creatures in a game but now only one matters and it quickly becomes boring. There’s no longer variety or interest in a new encounter. You are fighting the same creature as the same creature.
Now sonar has added a ton of different mechanics to combat and also has a tier system implemented in the game to try and help resolve this issue. Bigger creatures become high theirs and other creatures in said tiers are stronger against creatures in said tier. Smaller creatures are usually weaker and as such are usually non carnivorous and are more based on ailments and speed so bigger animals can’t reach them to hurt them. Similar to how it works in an actual ecosystem. The gamba is also used to add variety by making sure not everyone has the same options as another player, which again is a good idea.…what isn’t a good idea was also making stat increasing items in a gacha a feature. Yes, that’s right…it’s time to talk about plushies.
the Plushie mechanic in my opinion is the biggest example of pay to win in CoS. the plushies we’re a recent addition that gives stat additions to players and can be won in gachas or in event shops. Sometimes the stats are minimal and aren’t harmful enough to do too much damage such as slight hunger reduction and maybe a bit of a speed boost when ambushing. Just a nice simple way to add some variety in creatures to shake up encounters by the individual rather than just the species. But then there’s the breath plushies. Breath is a very deadly mechanic in the game, typically used by fliers and one of the only forms of ranged combat in the game, there are different forms of breath like fire, blindness, slowness, poison, and more. obviously, because these breath are so powerful, you can only use it for so long without taking damage and only a select numbers of creatures get it...UNLESS you have plushy that gives you said power. Now, suddenly a creature that was built around certain stats is given more power than they are originally allowed and the balance is thrown out the windows. This is how we get situations like groups of creatures who mess with players by getting a ridiculous amount of breath. What makes this even worse is that you have to pay a hefty amount to get these items which creates a pay to win situation as you can get more money to buy these items by paying. And it’s not like these plushies go away after one use. They are a permanent item that you can buy as much a you want. the idea of plushies as a fun way to add a tiny percent bonus was a neat idea. But the breath plushies as a concept is very flawed and messes up a lot of the games balancing This is vital to encourage players to have fun.
but that’s of course expecting all of the game to be perfectly balance which is nearly impossible and that because this game is a gacha. As I stated earlier this game has the largest variety of creatures I’ve ever seen in a creature survival game and there is a reason why. when adding a new creature, you have to consider how it plays with every other creature, this means testing it and making sure that it doesn’t overpower or cause imbalances before it goe out and even after it’s publicly available. CoS doesn't have that luxury because its constantly churning out new Charcters monthly sometimes even weekly. Even if you test these creatures in a testing room, it’s gotten to the point now that you cannot test it with every single creature in the game to see how it balances. the tier system is carrying a lot of the weight but the tiers are only meant for base stats, they don’t take into account special abilities. In order to satiate the constant churn of new creature, new abilities are added to make creature more interesting and more valuable, and similar to plushies this creates a massive imbalance if not properly handles. there also the issue that these probables haven’t been found yet because of the “oasis syndrome” we haven’t been able to test these stats in proper survival game measures because the game rarely is played by actual survival game Rules in public servers. Honeslty I don’t know you would even go about fixing this because this comes from the biggest issue with CoS as a whole, the Updates.

Part 4: Quantity over Quality: when too much is not enough
when I talk to people about CoS, I don’t always hear about the cool creatures and gameplay. I hear a lot more about the bugs and crashes and optimization issues with the game. These issues were apparent from even early on in the game. some have existed for months and even years. Which is a bit of a surprise coming from how polished DA was in terms of mechanics and gameplay. Thats becaus a lot of DA’s early days was polishing the game and working out bugs and mechanics. It was only until recently that the rarity systems because I bigger deal in DA. CoS on the other hand seemed more worried about the gacha over the main game. After all, it’s what they use to bank on the interest and value on the game. There is about three to four new creatures each month in this game, but rarely are there any mentions of core gameplay additions. There was a recode mention per but it’s so long ago that I wonder if any of it is getting done because if how much time is being taken up by all the creatures being made. I hope I’m wrong tho. Game development takes a long time, but I haven’t seen anything to really show they are putting anything into that. I don’t think any of the devs will ever see this post but I’d they do I just want to say that it’s okay to take break, this constant flow of demand will never stop, but if you keep adding to that denand nothing changes. a game with issues will always be a game with issues even with a fancy new creatures, and eventually people are going realize that. a circle like this only keeps its value for so long. but Making something fun, something that people come back to just because they love to play It. It means so much more than that one rare creature that was cool for a few days.

well, we have reached the end of this discussion. I’d like to once again add that this is coming from a place of love for the game and is no way meant to bash or hurt the devs. I wouldn’t make this post talking about the problems if it wasn't from a place of genuine love for the game. I want this game to be better that it is. I want to see it grow and become something good. But right now it’s just not there yet, but it has the potential. I also hope this was a neat little adventure for people just reading this for fun. I hope this gives you ideas for your own games. anytime you make a game you should always do research. Learn from other games, see what works and doesn’t. Maybe someday you’ll make a hit game of your own. I know this was a fair bit of writing (there is probably more typos than I can’t count) but this is something I’ve wanted to do for a while. and if you did somehow read all this, first off you must be great with books XD, but also, thank you.

I’m one of the devoted fans who dedicated my vacation to Houston to going to my first TK concert. I really did feel like a “victim” when I boarded my flight home to North Carolina on Monday morning. I had to gather my thoughts before posting this. If I felt like it didn’t help me or someone else I won’t have posted my opinion. Here goes. The world of large rock arena shows has many sides or competing interests. There is the art of rock and rock- make art and the ends justify the means. For example The Stones played on at Altamont while people were stomped by the show’s “security detail.” Led Zep was known to land in a helicopter at the venue in order to take off never to be seen the next minute. This was and still is rock and rock- flip off what ever doesn’t feel good now. Artists are well artists. Another side is corporate interests. I work in that world and my work pays my bills and I stand by my work. Corporate interests have lately been scrutinized by US Senate Anti-Trust Committees whereby Senator Blumenthal asked Ticket Master to “Respectfully look in the mirror and say it’s me. I’m the problem.” This corporate side adds more dates for artists to play more than humanly possible. This side overbooks and over-commits venues so that preparations for The Final Four have to compete with a twice booked make up concert. Later this summer Houston will host The Cure and Depeche Mode among others. Then there is the side of common sense which I am sad to say has been missing from both TK and Houston’s Toyota Center. I hate to admit that my favorite band that hasn’t traveled to the Carolinas since they were a small band has less common sense than Guns N Roses, Taylor Swift, DMB and Beyoncé. GNR, TS and Queen B posted their near entire schedule publicly on their websites before tickets went on sale. These artists proactively invited fans to join fan clubs to get the advance ticket and info. They made it easy to join(I joined GNR’s Night Train so I could see them in Charlotte). For TK I researched their schedule and crossed checked against my schedule and budget. If I would have known that private corporate shows and benefit shows were to cloud an already tight schedule I would have arranged to fly to Atlantic City or Columbus. I have to respectfully ask our boys who’s side are you on? We are all human and get sick and as humans we evolved to make art to share it. We evolved to be ethical and fair and improve the needed relationship with corporations. As humans who evolved to dancers we learned to ask “where’s the logic?” Can we trust that your art is available for me too?

Personal things to add:
So, I am from the United States but had to move to Asia a couple of years ago due to personal family circumstances. But the thing is that I've never felt adapted to the new environment and people here. It was and is honestly tough to make friends and develop connections here as I'm not too fluent in the local language either. This is the main reason that I feel like made my high school journey was quite turbulent. During my first two years I was a below average student in terms of grades (with a lot Bs and Cs) and found it hard to motivate myself to do more in extracurriculars. While the pandemic helped me change my academic strategies and perform much better in the remaining three years of high school, I just didn't put in the effort in my extracurriculars (which was due to the different environment and type of people here and the fear of not being to balance it out with my academics as I did not want to take any chances if my grades fell again).
You may also be wondering why I applied to some of the T25/T50 colleges too. Well, honestly, I only wanted to apply to Yale and Johns Hopkins (based on my personal interest even though I never stood a chance) but my parents kind of pushed me to apply to other top colleges too (as they thought I would have a good shot since I come from a pretty complicated Asian background and other stuff) But even despite that I feel like I should've gone test optional for these top colleges as the medians were clearly higher than 1450. However, my counsellor continued to persuade me to send them to these top colleges as it would make me a better applicant than those who did not submit (idk if that's true lol). I should've known better tbh as I was pretty clueless about this. But my extracurriculars were pretty weak too.
I plan to do medicine and now that I have some acceptances at some middle tier to average schools, I'll have to decide soon. I also have the option of doing medicine from the Asian country where I'm currently residing in (which unlike the US does not require any undergrad prior to med school and you can directly matriculate after completing high school). It also takes 5 years (vs 8 years in the USA) and is much cheaper too. But because of my experiences here in middle school and high school outside the classroom and realms of academics and with the lack of connections and issues I've faced, I'm kind of unsure if I want to even consider it here as med school life is really challenging.
Anyways, I've just always wanted to go back to the United States to not only do medicine but also to bring a change in myself both personally and for my family after living here in Asia and now I have the chance to do so (even though it might be a bit more expensive). I feel like I had the potential to do so much better, but I feel my personal circumstances really brought me down. I apologize if this all felt too personal and came across as being cringey and ungrateful. It's just that this has all been over my head for the past few months and did not have anyone other than my parents to discuss this with as I don't really have any close friends here and I thought this would be a great opportunity to share this with you all on this subreddit page which is mostly full of people with 1500+ SAT scores, perfect GPAs and stellar ECs (no hate to them though, they are honestly pretty motivating to me Haha).

Started this on RCDLC.com and will continue on here with the academy updates monthly. Remember that San Tirso is also part of the club in the Cadete and Infantil Divisions to play in the top division alongside the older Deportivo group Their Juvenil group is still in Liga Gallega, one division below Juvenil B.
Juvenil A (U19), Juvenil B (U17) Cadete A (U16) San Tirso Cadete (U15) Infantil A (U14) San Tirso Infantil (U13)
Fabril- A 2 team race with only 4 games to go. The boys sit 4 pts ahead of an impressive Arosa group, who deserve to be promoted in the playoff, especially with their really impressive youth system. My hope, however, is that UD Ourense will be the one that goes up. The big question here will be what the club decides to do if they are promoted to 2RFEF. Will they bring in 1-2 veterans of 23-25 years old or continue their methodology of keeping a younger team with 1-2 Juvenil players starting? Players like Barcia, Mella, and Ochoa have clearly proven they can play at a higher level and will either be loaned to 1RFEF or go with the first team. Diego Gomez, Ruben, Jairo and Hugo Rios could use another year of development at 2RFEF. Davo, Iano, Barba, and Pereira will be let go. Everyone else didn’t show much, and I could see them going to another 3RFEF team in the area or a handful being renewed for depth. Berrocal, Mardones, and Kevin will be at least 3 of the players that move up from Juvenil. Will the club create a “C” group in order to get some minutes? Personally, I’d like to see 2-3 players be loaned to San Tirso’s Senior team (currently 1 division below 3RFEF) to see if they can make a promotion run since we already use the youth setup.
Juvenil A- The incredible run in the Copa del Rey ended this month with a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to Almeria in the 92’. Now, all of the energy must be put into the league to finish at the top in order to qualify for the Copa de Campeones. On April 23, Depor will host Celta, which could be a title game if both teams continue to get results. In the Cup run, Diego Gomez and Martin Ochoa (full-time with Fabril) were clearly the best players. It is now up to 1-2 players to take the next step in their careers, as many will be leaving the club this summer with the club deciding whether or not to offer a professional contract with Fabril.
Juvenil B- This group continues to get results as they enter the homestretch of the league, sitting 7 pts behind leaders Celta. Adrian Guerrero and Manu Ferreiro have already been mainstays with the Juvenil A group in their cup run and should be the building blocks of next year's Juvenil A team. Cadete A’s incredible season has also allowed many of their core players to debut at the Juvenil level with players like Pablo Garcia, Jose Rey, Ruben, and Brian all getting minutes. I’d imagine the next group (Xian, Iker, and the GK) will debut as well as the season ends unless this group pulls within 3 pts of Celta.
Cadete A-Business as usual. This group was already impressive in their San Tirso year last season and has yet to lose a game. Through 27 games, they’ve won 26, tied once, and still have not lost. They have outscored teams 135-16. Ruben Fernandez, Lucas Castro, Pablo Garcia, Samu, Nico, and Anxo have been in almost every Galicia U16 selection, and there are rumors that some may leave the club this summer as they enter their Juvenil years.
Cadete ST- Unlike the A group, this group has struggled mightily in their first Cadete year. They are in a relegation battle even after a huge win vs Conxo this weekend. Iker Fernandez (DEF) is usually the player that gets called up for the Galicia U16s, a good indicator as to who will be the “star” of the Cadete A group. After two years (2006/2007) of great success, it’s clear that the 2008 group is significantly weaker. Fran will have some work to do in reinforcing this age group and could be significant if they get relegated, which would impact this Infantil A group next year.
Infantil- After rebuilding the team with the loss of their 2 main players to Betis and Villarreal, this team seems like it’s headed in the right direction entering their Cadete years. Many players in the area will head to Abegondo for their Cadete years, so look for 1-2 players from the Galicia U14 group to join (usually from Ural or Calasanz). One of the most important steps the club has taken over the last few years is the incorporation of San Tirso so players a year younger can play in the same division. San Tirso’s Infantil group can solidify the permanence with a few good results in April and allow the next group of Deportivistas to play at a higher level starting at U13.

2023.03.29 00:28 Powerdrake My Skyrim "Hard Mode" playstyle in the form of self-imposed rules. The Powerdrake Challenge.

This is a challenge I thought of myself and is entirely original as far as I am aware. This set of rules is brutal, long-winded and unfair by design. The goal is to complete the main quest and all DLC's with as little deaths as possible. You must complete the base game main storyline first, DLC's must be done after. I highly encourage all to document their experience in whatever way they wish, especially tracking their death number and cause but this is not mandatory.
Rules before you start:
  1. Your game must be 100% vanilla, DLC's allowed, Creation Club content not allowed.
  2. Must create a new character for the challenge
  3. No exploits/glitches whatsoever are allowed.
  4. Speedrun strats of any sort are not allowed.
  5. Game difficulty must be Expert at least, can go higher but must not set it lower.
  6. During character creation pick whatever race you want.
  7. Must go with Ralof during the intro for minimal help to the player as going with Hadvar allows the player to take iron and steel ingots from Alvor.
  8. This is not a perma-death challenge
Rules during the run:
  1. You must not loot corpses except in the event of vital quest items. That means no taking anything from corpses, not even gold or lockpicks.
  2. You may only receive loot/gold/lockpicks from chests at the end of dungeons as well as quest reward, if there is no obvious big reward chest, loot the equivalent last chest of the dungeon, if there is none pick only one chest to loot.
  3. Must not loot random corpses or chests outside or otherwise out in the open, like various ruins or ruined strongholds, bandit camps etc. Can only take quest items from these locations.
  4. Must not murder any innocent people under any circumstances except for quests.
  5. Must not steal from people's houses, or take anything marked as "stealing" from anywhere except for quests/quest items. Including unique/rare gear.
  6. Must not pickpocket anyone except for quests/quest items. You cannot place items in NPC's inventory either unless it's for a quest.
  7. Smithing anything is not allowed.
  8. You may take only 1 weapon from the Helgen intro, either a one or two handed weapon, no shields allowed. Once you exit Helgen, you must drop that weapon.
  9. You may get new gear only as quest reward or buy from vendors.
  10. You cannot buy ingredients of any sort from anywhere, potion or food ingredients must be obtained naturally. Meats must be hunted, alchemy ingredients must be found in the wild. Items such as Salt Pile or Flour or anything else that can't be foraged, must be obtained through looting various containers like barrels.
  11. When you die you must drop all your gold in any container or corpse and leave it.
  12. When you die you must drop 1 piece of gear with the highest value, if you do not have anything or particularly high value then drop a weapon or piece of armor with the highest damage or armor rating. For mages, you must pick one of 3 of your best spells and never use them again. For example. if you used Flames, Healing, Conjure Familiar in a fight and died. Pick one of those 3 and NEVER use it again, or drop 1 piece of gear with the best echantment. So if you die at late game you'd have to choose to never use your Fireball spell or drop your Archmage Robes etc.
  13. If you have an accidental death, such as dying to a trap or falling from a height. You must drop EVERYTHING and start from scratch.
  14. When you die, you can never fight the enemy type that killed you ever again. For example if you die to a wolf, you must not fight any wolves for the rest of the game. You can either run or use a Calm spell. If a bandit kills you, you cannot fight any normal bandits, you can only fight higher tier enemies of the same group, such a Bandit Outlaw or Bandit Chief, same goes for any enemy group with multiple tiers. If you die to a Bandit Chief, you cannot fight any Bandit Chiefs etc. This includes dragons except ones that require to be killed for the game to progress. Only exception are final bosses or marked boss fights of quests.
  15. Enchanting and Alchemy exploits are not allowed, you may enchant your gear but cannot do the Restoration/Alchemy/Enchanting loop exploit or anything similar with the same intent to break the game.
  16. Quicksave scumming is not allowed. For example quicksaving and loading until you succeed in a persuasion dialogue is also not allowed unless it is vital for a quest.
  17. Fast money making strats are allowed but regulated. For example, you cannot chop wood in Riverwood at the start of the game for eternity until you are the richest person in Skyrim. You can do such activities maximum of 10 times per in-game day. You also cannot just wait on the spot for 24 hours to do it again. Days must pass organically for you to do these activities again. Smithing and selling jewelry is also not allowed, see rule 7.
  18. Must not have more than 2 daedric artifacts in inventory at a time. For example you can only have a Mace of Molag Bal and Sanguine Rose, that's it. This includes Azura's Star so chose wisely what you want to keep.
  19. You must change gear every 5 levels. For example, you've used a Steel Sword since level 1, once you reach level 5 you must drop/sell/store it and acquire a new weapon to use. Once you've changed 1 piece of gear you must change a different one next time. So you cannot keep changing your boots every 5 levels but keep your OP weapon the whole game. You can choose which gear slot to change first.
  20. Companions (except mandatory quest followers) are not allowed. This includes dogs and other animal companions.
  21. Fast travel is not allowed.
  22. Healing in the middle of a fight by leveling up is not allowed. You must level up before fights.
  23. You cannot wait 24 hours in between every fight to spam your Racial Power. The 24 hours has to pass organically.
I challenge everyone who reads this to give it a try. Think you've done and know everything or the game is too easy vanilla? Do the Powerdrake challenge and your tone will change very quickly. If anyone actually manages to beat the game like this i commend you. Also if you want me to believe you, you'd have to provide video evidence.

My name is Jordan Richter. I’m an investigative journalist for an independent media outlet. Ever since I had to use my wits, an old tape-recorder, and some fake weed I made from my mother’s arugula plant to catch a few bullies in their lies back in middle school, I’ve been obsessed with exposing corruption. I’ve spent years chasing the truth, going undercover, and even doing some modest hacking. Mostly I do political stuff, scandals, coverups, bribery. Every politician has a skeleton in their closet, and if you look hard enough, they usually have a few dozen. It’s not out of the ordinary for people to send me evidence of bad behavior on a potential suspect, like hotel receipts, photos, bank statements, that kind of thing.
Don’t get me wrong, I never publish anything I get without verifying it. I always look at every case as hearsay until proven correct. You can really mess up someone’s life with a false accusation, and as someone who’s been through that twice, I don’t want to be that guy. Besides, sometimes the stuff people send is just too vague, not convincing, or obviously faked. But ever once in a while I find something really deep, something my editor would call ‘beyond the pale’.
Something dark.
This is one of those times.
I recently received a recording and transcript of a phone call that the whistleblower, who chose to remain anonymous, secretly recorded and sent to me via email. The first time I listened to it, I was shocked, and had to re-listen several times just to be sure I heard it right. Due to technical difficulties with the recording, I can’t post it here, but I can share the transcript. If what is contained within is even remotely true, then anyone who lives in Barron County Ohio needs to get in contact with either their local travel agent, or perhaps a National Guard unit.
The following is the transcript, exactly how it was sent to me, word for word.
(The recording begins. The sound of a phone ringing can be heard, before a handset is picked up with a soft click, and a man speaks.)
Voice 1: “Sheriff’s office, how may I help you sir or—”
(A second man’s voice can be heard shouting through the phone.)
Voice 2: “Wurnauw! What the hell is going on in your district?”
(A chair creaks, and it sounds as though Voice 1 is clearing his throat.)
Voice 1: “Mr. Karonti, I—”
Voice 2: “Shut your mouth before I shut it for you. Don’t you know not to use my name on the phone, you hopeless lump? I gave you a job to do, one job, and now I’m hearing all kinds of noise about things going wrong down there. You think my group funded your campaign so these kinds of mistakes could happen?”
Voice 1: “Sir, I assure you, my deputies are doing everything we can to—”
Voice 2: “Your deputies? Do you have any idea what I just got done reading? One of your loudmouth deputies has been blabbing online about seeing a Techno in the freaking woods. Thousands of people viewed his post, Wurnauw. If just one of them does any amount of digging, our entire operation could be jeopardized.”
(The sound of a pencil snapping in half can be heard.)
Voice 1: “I . . . I’ll find the responsible man, and deal with him, sir. It won’t happen again.”
Voice 2: “It better not. As for the park, why didn’t you seize control of New Wilderness like I directed? We need that instillation as a base for operations, and those two-bit rangers are still running around firing guns everywhere, stirring up the herds, and causing the anomalies to migrate. I want them gone, Wurnauw. I don’t care how you do it, just get rid of them.”
Voice 1: “Sir, with all due respect, the Night Rangers outnumber us two to one, and they’re the only ones keeping the Technos and Organics at bay. I’ve lost two men already to the Echo-Spiders, and we can barely keep the roads blocked as it is. Civilians are finding their way in, and every one of them that survives has to be silenced or discredited. I need more men.”
Voice 2: “I have a thousand of my best fighters on standby as we speak. But I need live specimens, Wurnauw, the more the merrier, and we can’t get them if those polo-shirt wearing rent-a-cops are killing them all. Ever since that Cromwell girl popped the last Oak Walker, we’ve had nothing but spikes in the electromagnetic satellite readings from your area. Time is of the essence if we want to contain this thing. Arrest the Night Rangers, clear the New Wilderness Wildlife Reserve of all personnel, and prepare the site for ELSAR to move in.”
Voice 1: “If I move on the park, the rangers might resist. I know the head of security there, and that old Marine won’t give up without a fight. This could spark a real shooting war right in our backyard, and if the public finds out . . .”
Voice 2: “If the public finds out that there are moon-eyed freaks stumbling around in the woods, they’ll start the shooting war themselves. For God’s sake Sheriff, use your head for something other than a hat rack! You want to flush the rangers out? Drive a herd into them, and let the freaks do their job. Once everyone’s dead, we’ll come in and clean up. No one will ever have to know it was you.”
Voice 1: “Look, this would be a whole lot easier if we had more help. I’m not a miracle worker, and rumors spread every time we take another casualty on the force. It’s a small county, sir, with even smaller towns. All it takes is one person talking, and I can’t contain it. Just give me 50 guys, kitted out and ready to go, and at least then we can man the roadblocks.”
(There is a long pause, and a clock can be heard ticking in the background.)
Voice 2: “Fine, I can send 50, but no more until the LZ is clear. The situation is rapidly deteriorating, and the more men we move, the more attention we’ll attract. If we can’t seal the Breach soon, we could face an ecological disaster that would make Chernobyl look like Christmas in the Bahamas. I don’t need to remind you what we’ll be forced to do if that happens.”
Voice 1: “Clean Sweep.”
Voice 2: “Exactly. I won’t risk creating another Black Crow Island. The press is distracted by the upcoming elections right now, but if we make one slip-up, we’ll have reporters and home-grown watchdogs breathing down our necks all across the country. We cannot afford another Disaster Zone, especially not after what happened in Canada.”
Voice 1: “I understand sir. As soon as the reinforcements arrive, I’ll have New Wilderness captured for you within a week. Three days tops.”
Voice 2: “Time is critical, Wurnauw. Do not disappoint me on this. Get control of your department, shut the Night Rangers down, and keep the anomalies contained until we get there. I’ll work on suppressing any more online activity regarding your area and run some interference in case a few wannabe private-eyes start Googling things they shouldn’t.”
Voice 1: “Yes sir.”
Voice 2: “Oh, and one more thing. The leak in your department, it’s some moron named Hamond. I don’t care how you do it, or where, just make him disappear, now.”
Voice 1: “Hamond, huh? I should have known. Believe me, sir, it’s as good as done.”
(There is a muted click from the other end of the line, and the recording ends.)
Naturally, I dove into the internet and started hunting for information as soon as I read the transcript. Try as I might, I couldn’t find anything about a Barron County Ohio in the mainstream press, or on any map anywhere. There is a Barron County in Wisconsin, but nowhere in the foothills of Appalachia, almost as if it’s been selectively deleted from every record available. As for the New Wilderness Wildlife Reserve, I did manage to locate its home page just before a strange computer glitch made it unavailable. Just last week, the park announced it wouldn’t be holding a tour season this year, and that all grounds were closed to the public. It also issued a call for more volunteers for its security department, offering a whopping $40 an hour to anyone who stayed longer than a week, along with free room and board. Sadly, I didn’t get the chance to find any contact information, the site crashing in what I suspect was a coordinated DDOS attack from an unknown source.
What really stood out to me about the whole thing was the capitalization in the transcript of the bizarre words used by the two callers. Technos, Organics, and the vague threat known as the Breach. These seem to refer to some kind of animal species, judging by the use of the word ‘herds’ but it was hard to make heads or tails of it. My search in the regular web turned up nothing, until I stumbled across this site, and found four posts; three of them belonging to a girl named Madison Cromwell, and one belonging to a sheriff’s deputy, Sean Hamond.
From what I can gather in reading their accounts, both claim to have seen creatures of gargantuan and supernatural proportions. If there is any truth to them, then it might be reasonable to infer that the creature Miss Cromwell encountered, (called the ‘Oak Walker’ in the transcript by the mysterious Mr. Karonti) was likely an Organic, due to its plant-like characteristics. This creature seemed to be highly intelligent, and even possibly telekinetic, with the ability to create and control smaller human-sized creatures referred to by Cromwell as ‘Puppets.’ It is also important to note that in both Hamond’s account, and in the secret phone call, the creature known as ‘the Big one’ or ‘the Oak Walker’ is described as a type of apex predator, whose downfall contributed largely to the explosion of anomaly activity outside of the regular area. It is entirely possible that Miss Cromwell did in fact succeed in killing the creature, which in turn allowed lesser species to thrive in its absence and spill out into the environment.
In the second account, the strange metallic monstrosity that attacked Officer Hamond seems to fit rather well into the Techno category, given its electronic and mechanical attributes. This very well could be one of the ‘Echo-Spiders’ brought up by Sheriff Wurnauw. While there isn’t much information to go by, it seems that Organics and Technos are merely subcategories of the various paranormal beings that came from the Breach, and these anomalies present a clear and present danger to all human beings around them. A mention of electromagnetic readings powerful enough to be observed by satellites also seems to indicate that there is significant environmental disturbance going on in the area, which may have contributed to the origins of these species, or perhaps is a byproduct of their existence.
This, of course, was troubling to say the least, but I wanted to know more, and for that, I’d have to find the people who had supposedly witnessed these occurrences firsthand. Armed with two complete names, I info-hunted, and found some alarming results.
Madison Cromwell’s family recently moved from Black Oak to an unknown location somewhere deep in the hills of Idaho. For a family of relatively low-income to undertake such an abrupt move, they were either pursuing better income, or desperately fleeing some form of danger. I have no idea if Madison is alive or not. All of her social media accounts have been deleted, and none of her contacts on the various platforms seem to know if she quit, disappeared the last night of her job, or is still lying low somewhere.
In the case of Sean Hamond, it was announced early yesterday morning that a gunfight broke out in the Barron County Sheriff’s Office between members of the department, resulting in three dead, and four injured. Sean Hamond is said to be still at large, charged with the rather serious crime of organizing domestic terrorism, though no more details have been provided on that. One of the casualties was Officer James Walker, the partner Hamond referenced in his account on this site. Walker was shot twelve times in the firefight and taken to the Black Oak Regional Hospital. According to the hospital reports, he died of his wounds on the operating table soon after. For such violence to break out between fellow peace officers, and for such drastic charges to be leveled, there must be serious issues in the Barron County government, which lends more than a little credence to the validity of the whistleblower’s claims.
But it gets worse.
Upon looking into the reference to ‘Black Crow Island’, I could only find a passing mention about an explosion that destroyed an abandoned sanitorium on a small island off the coast of British Columbia. Not much was provided in terms of detail, except that two people had been seen fleeing the island on a rowboat but were never apprehended. How this is connected, I do not know, but if it was important enough to mention in the phone call, I can only assume it had ties to the same forces at work in Barron County.
As for the vague ‘ELSAR’ group of which Mr. Karonti appears to be a major player in, I found nothing that matched the description of his lethal capabilities. No large-scale private security companies hail by that name, and while I have no doubt it’s an acronym for something, I don’t know what it could be. Whoever they are, I seriously doubt the fighters of ELSAR are interested in the wellbeing of Barron County, or the employees at the New Wilderness Wildlife Reserve.
That leads me to this moment, as I type the finishing touches on my entry. Normally, I would say to refer to my article in our media website for the rest of the story, but my editor was found dead just this morning, with a bullet in his head.

I have a well-adapted gut feeling when I’ve been asking too many questions, stirred around in too many pots, and I know they’re coming for me. Random cars have been following me to-and-from home, strangers keep watching my apartment building, and I found a tracking device stuck to the trunk of my car today. Maybe this little post will garner enough attention to alert the people of Barron County to their imminent danger. Perhaps the New Wilderness Night Rangers will read this in time and find a way to avoid whatever horrible plans Sheriff Wurnauw and ELSAR have for them. Regardless, my part in this investigation is at an end.
My wife, and two boys are waiting for me, at the pre-determined spot I arranged over the burner phone I bought at a local phone kiosk. I have withdrawn all my money in cash, and have booked flights for three different countries, bus tickets for four different cities, and a rental car with three sets of fake license plates. My social media accounts are all deleted, my entire family has shed their personal phones, and I even dyed my hair. If someone reading this is hunting me, good luck. I’ve dug up people who didn’t want to be found for half my life, and my family is at stake here.
You’ll never catch us.

Voice 2: “Exactly. I won’t risk creating another Black Crow Island. The press is distracted by the upcoming elections right now, but if we make one slip-up, we’ll have reporters and home-grown watchdogs breathing down our necks all across the country. We cannot afford another Disaster Zone, especially not after what happened in Canada.”
Voice 1: “I understand sir. As soon as the reinforcements arrive, I’ll have New Wilderness captured for you within a week. Three days tops.”
Voice 2: “Time is critical, Wurnauw. Do not disappoint me on this. Get control of your department, shut the Night Rangers down, and keep the anomalies contained until we get there. I’ll work on suppressing any more online activity regarding your area and run some interference in case a few wannabe private-eyes start Googling things they shouldn’t.”
Voice 1: “Yes sir.”
Voice 2: “Oh, and one more thing. The leak in your department, it’s some moron named Hamond. I don’t care how you do it, or where, just make him disappear, now.”
Voice 1: “Hamond, huh? I should have known. Believe me, sir, it’s as good as done.”
(There is a muted click from the other end of the line, and the recording ends.)
Naturally, I dove into the internet and started hunting for information as soon as I read the transcript. Try as I might, I couldn’t find anything about a Barron County Ohio in the mainstream press, or on any map anywhere. There is a Barron County in Wisconsin, but nowhere in the foothills of Appalachia, almost as if it’s been selectively deleted from every record available. As for the New Wilderness Wildlife Reserve, I did manage to locate its home page just before a strange computer glitch made it unavailable. Just last week, the park announced it wouldn’t be holding a tour season this year, and that all grounds were closed to the public. It also issued a call for more volunteers for its security department, offering a whopping $40 an hour to anyone who stayed longer than a week, along with free room and board. Sadly, I didn’t get the chance to find any contact information, the site crashing in what I suspect was a coordinated DDOS attack from an unknown source.
What really stood out to me about the whole thing was the capitalization in the transcript of the bizarre words used by the two callers. Technos, Organics, and the vague threat known as the Breach. These seem to refer to some kind of animal species, judging by the use of the word ‘herds’ but it was hard to make heads or tails of it. My search in the regular web turned up nothing, until I stumbled across this site, and found four posts; three of them belonging to a girl named Madison Cromwell, and one belonging to a sheriff’s deputy, Sean Hamond.
From what I can gather in reading their accounts, both claim to have seen creatures of gargantuan and supernatural proportions. If there is any truth to them, then it might be reasonable to infer that the creature Miss Cromwell encountered, (called the ‘Oak Walker’ in the transcript by the mysterious Mr. Karonti) was likely an Organic, due to its plant-like characteristics. This creature seemed to be highly intelligent, and even possibly telekinetic, with the ability to create and control smaller human-sized creatures referred to by Cromwell as ‘Puppets.’ It is also important to note that in both Hamond’s account, and in the secret phone call, the creature known as ‘the Big one’ or ‘the Oak Walker’ is described as a type of apex predator, whose downfall contributed largely to the explosion of anomaly activity outside of the regular area. It is entirely possible that Miss Cromwell did in fact succeed in killing the creature, which in turn allowed lesser species to thrive in its absence and spill out into the environment.
In the second account, the strange metallic monstrosity that attacked Officer Hamond seems to fit rather well into the Techno category, given its electronic and mechanical attributes. This very well could be one of the ‘Echo-Spiders’ brought up by Sheriff Wurnauw. While there isn’t much information to go by, it seems that Organics and Technos are merely subcategories of the various paranormal beings that came from the Breach, and these anomalies present a clear and present danger to all human beings around them. A mention of electromagnetic readings powerful enough to be observed by satellites also seems to indicate that there is significant environmental disturbance going on in the area, which may have contributed to the origins of these species, or perhaps is a byproduct of their existence.
This, of course, was troubling to say the least, but I wanted to know more, and for that, I’d have to find the people who had supposedly witnessed these occurrences firsthand. Armed with two complete names, I info-hunted, and found some alarming results.
Madison Cromwell’s family recently moved from Black Oak to an unknown location somewhere deep in the hills of Idaho. For a family of relatively low-income to undertake such an abrupt move, they were either pursuing better income, or desperately fleeing some form of danger. I have no idea if Madison is alive or not. All of her social media accounts have been deleted, and none of her contacts on the various platforms seem to know if she quit, disappeared the last night of her job, or is still lying low somewhere.
In the case of Sean Hamond, it was announced early yesterday morning that a gunfight broke out in the Barron County Sheriff’s Office between members of the department, resulting in three dead, and four injured. Sean Hamond is said to be still at large, charged with the rather serious crime of organizing domestic terrorism, though no more details have been provided on that. One of the casualties was Officer James Walker, the partner Hamond referenced in his account on this site. Walker was shot twelve times in the firefight and taken to the Black Oak Regional Hospital. According to the hospital reports, he died of his wounds on the operating table soon after. For such violence to break out between fellow peace officers, and for such drastic charges to be leveled, there must be serious issues in the Barron County government, which lends more than a little credence to the validity of the whistleblower’s claims.
But it gets worse.
Upon looking into the reference to ‘Black Crow Island’, I could only find a passing mention about an explosion that destroyed an abandoned sanitorium on a small island off the coast of British Columbia. Not much was provided in terms of detail, except that two people had been seen fleeing the island on a rowboat but were never apprehended. How this is connected, I do not know, but if it was important enough to mention in the phone call, I can only assume it had ties to the same forces at work in Barron County.
As for the vague ‘ELSAR’ group of which Mr. Karonti appears to be a major player in, I found nothing that matched the description of his lethal capabilities. No large-scale private security companies hail by that name, and while I have no doubt it’s an acronym for something, I don’t know what it could be. Whoever they are, I seriously doubt the fighters of ELSAR are interested in the wellbeing of Barron County, or the employees at the New Wilderness Wildlife Reserve.
That leads me to this moment, as I type the finishing touches on my entry. Normally, I would say to refer to my article in our media website for the rest of the story, but my editor was found dead just this morning, with a bullet in his head.

I have a well-adapted gut feeling when I’ve been asking too many questions, stirred around in too many pots, and I know they’re coming for me. Random cars have been following me to-and-from home, strangers keep watching my apartment building, and I found a tracking device stuck to the trunk of my car today. Maybe this little post will garner enough attention to alert the people of Barron County to their imminent danger. Perhaps the New Wilderness Night Rangers will read this in time and find a way to avoid whatever horrible plans Sheriff Wurnauw and ELSAR have for them. Regardless, my part in this investigation is at an end.
My wife, and two boys are waiting for me, at the pre-determined spot I arranged over the burner phone I bought at a local phone kiosk. I have withdrawn all my money in cash, and have booked flights for three different countries, bus tickets for four different cities, and a rental car with three sets of fake license plates. My social media accounts are all deleted, my entire family has shed their personal phones, and I even dyed my hair. If someone reading this is hunting me, good luck. I’ve dug up people who didn’t want to be found for half my life, and my family is at stake here.
You’ll never catch us.
And if you’re someone who lives in Barron County, or heck, anywhere near Ohio, all I can say is . . . brace for impact.

Ex: You don’t even know half of it Gentlemen. We set things off tonight with a match between 2 Memorial Battle Royale participants Bronson Reed and Shota Umino. We will see Hangman taking on Chris Bey in his road of vengeance against Jay White. And for the first time ever a Championship scramble for AZW’s KO championship. Stay tuned.


Bronson Reed vs Shota Umino (Time limit 12 minutes)
As ref rings the bell to this match, Bronson rushes to Shota hoping to splash him with his body mass, but Shota ducks outside the ring and as on the apron he gives an enzugiri to Bronson’s head. But the lucky streak seems to end quick as Bronson catches Shota in midair and slams him in the powerbomb. Wants to senton him and but Shota rolls out again. Shota continues the offense with the forearm, but Bronson is laughing and asks Shota for more. Shota continues till Bronson grabs his hand and shouts to the crowd “This is how you do it” and almost knocks Shota out of his boots with a nasty Lariat.Goes for the pin, but Shota kicks out at 2.5 mark. Bronson is shocked but smiling sadistically.They continue to brawl a few minutes. Shota has his few moments of when people would almost believe he had the win in a bag, but Bronson squashes it down.And despite Shota’s valiant efforts, Bronson is inevitable and does a Tsunami splash on Shota, going for the Pin 1…2…3..Bronson grabs the mic before even music starts to playBronson: Consider this a preview of what’s to come. Cause Tsunami consumes all.

You’re lucky Asuka.Asuka replies
Asuka: No. You’re lucky you're allowed to leave peacefully.
Mone runs away frightened.

Chris Bey shows up as Swagalicious as ever, to a thunder of boos. Commentary highlights his career and last involvement saying that Hangman will have a lot of incentive and he should worry.
Ref rings the bell and Adam and Chris Bey head into a brawl. Forearms and Kicks galore. Adam tries to Suplex Chris but Chris flips over Adam and enzugiris him. Adam falls down, Chris tries to cover him, not even a one. Chris is going on the top turnbuckle and wants to go flying. But Adam raises up his knees so that’s where Adam Lands on. Chris stumbles on the corner and Adam continues the assault, stomping a hole in Chris Bey, stone Cold style. Amped up by the adrenaline. Adam Page runs up in attempt to do a cannonball and it would almost connect if not for Chris Bey’s Dodge in the nick of time. Chris goes up the turnbuckle again and does a double foot stomp the chest. Goes for the cover1… 2… Kick out
Chris bey bewildered tries to pin him again but Adam Page reverses into a rolling cradle. Hangman picks him up, both brawl for a bit before Chris Bey irish whips him outside to get some breather only for Adam Page to hit a buckshot Lariat onto Chris Bey.Going for the pin 1…2… 3..Adam Page wins and as a taunt to Jay White, He picks Chris again and does Jay White’s finisher on him.

Styles/Mysterio Promo (10 Minutes)
Both Aj Styles and Rey Mysterio have a sit down with Good Brothers as AJ's backup.
Rey is a bit wary, but Aj invites him to sit down.
AJ: No worries Rey they won't do nothing… Unless I say so. Now Rey, you probably wonder why I invited you for this. Simple. I wanna ask a simple question and I'd like to hear your answer.
Rey simply nods
AJ: What it means to be a champion to you? As far as I'm concerned, one would agree that you have nothing to prove at this point. A career full of accolades, being a member of a prestigious family, what more one can ask for?
Good brothers nod
Rey: It's not just bout winning titles. it's about being an example. To give people hope and an inspiration. Being a champion of the people till I physically can't no more. That's what I want.
AJ: Shame that can't happen sooner, maybe then you could have been a decent father to your son. Oh well, that ship had sailed I guess.
Aj Laughs, alongside Good Brothers, meanwhile Rey gets up and slaps him
Rey: Besides of what he did, he is still my family. I tried to kept it civil but it seems it fell flat, like your favourite Flat earth Theories. So long.
Rey leaves the room. Aj is like "How could he slap me?!” Tries to go after him but Good Brothers hold him off "it ain't worth it".

KO Championship Scramble (Time Duration - 20 Minutes)

First 5 minutes - Jack Perry and Heath Slater
These two start of this match. Heath Slater being very disrespectful towards Jack Perry he leans in and taps on his cheek Egging Jack to take a swing, Jack does it but Heath catches his hand and clotheslines Jack. Proceeds to stomp on him repeatedly till Jack rolls out of the way and missile dropkicks Heath. Brawl continues till Heath stumbles onto the turnbuckles. Jack continues on the offense with fists and chops till Heath falls down. Jack climbs out the top and does a frog splash on him. Going for the pin 1…2… Heath kicks out.
Second 5 minutes - Lee Moriarty joins in
Looking to avenge his win/loss record. Lee jumps Jack while his back was turned on him with a back stabber. Jack barely gets up till Moriarty goes into an octopus stretch on Jack. But Jack reverses it into a Samoan drop. Goes for the pin 1… kick out. But Heath surprise rolls up Jack for the 3 count. As of that moment Heath is The KO Champion. Which brought his not only a lot of boos but also the joint focus of both Jack and Lee moriarty. Both decide to give Heath a beat down.
Third 5 minutes - Wardlow joins in
Wardlow joins in, Lee goes for a swing at him, Wardlow yeets him away like he was Keith Lee yanking up Adam Cole into the crowd. Throws Jack away, Grabs Heath upon his shoulders, F10’s him and goes for the pin. Becomes the champion. Heath really pissed off bout it, slaps Wardlow in the face which enrages Wardlow. Wardlow grabs Heath and throws him out of the ring. As of this moment the chaos erupts with the brawl, as Wardlow is the figuratively King of the hill
Final 5 Minutes - Suzuki joins in
Here comes Suzuki Minoru. Picks up on the youngins easily, Heath tries to run away but Suzuki Suplexes him either way. Then he walks off to Wardlow and both have a staredown only to be interrupted by Jack and Lee with which the presume brawling.The final moment is Suzuki picking up Wardlow for a Piledriver in final minutes and winning the Ko Championship.Suzuki becomes the First ever AZW KO champion.Blackout
