My bf is an intp and also has avoidant attachment. He's really caring and kind deep down but he has problems withdrawing when we get too close.
One problem with his poor communication is he can't forward plan (an avoidant thing or an intp thing or both?) I told him I wanted to go to an event, he knew I had some things on this week but called me on his way to the event telling me to meet him. He didn't bother to forward plan, check when I was free, and he ended up going to the event without me because I was unable to go that day. He couldn't see why I was annoyed he had left it till the last minute (literally he was on his way) to check the day, and he didn't bother to change it after he knew. This happens frequently. He'll call me like 'im at the beach 5 hours away, get the train and meet me right now' as if I can drop everything.
Anyway he's always about space space alone time blah blah. So I've been giving him that. But now it's at the point where we speak maybe twice a week. Now I'm an introvert so I can cope with this. I used to chase him and complain at him for his lack of contact but now I just stopped. Since I stopped, and I also stopped reaching out, communication is at an all time low. I don't know if he is actually happy with things being like this because it's more comfortable or if he somewhat preferred it when I chased him a bit. I've pulled back completely at this point.
Maybe this is to do with him being avoidant not an INTP but I know INTPs also like space. Is it wrong of me to completely just give up on contacting him and letting him come to me? When I would get annoyed at his lack of messages he would withdraw more but it seems if I don't get annoyed then the communication just stops. Not sure how to proceed?

On this pc I only have pci-e 3.0, in the form of an x16 and two x1 slots.
If I would like to leave the x16 slot free for a possible gpu even if I dont really need it at the moment for jellyfin transconding since I can use quicksync in the cpu for that. So I will probably need two nics with two 2.5gbit ports each at least, one for wan and the other three for and AP and my main pc and the third maybe a switch.
How much does the bandwith of the slots matter to choose a pcie nic with the right amount of ports at 2.5gbit?
In particular, when does the speed of the interface matter? (I.e. when a clients wants to access the internet? Or when clients connected to ports on the same nic transfer files? And what about clients on different nics?

Today, we received an email containing : "We have conducted extensive research on your hotel and are impressed with its beachfront location"
Thing is the hotel is in the city center no less than 150km of the sea.
I was thinking about responding with something like: "We appreciate your extensive research on our city center property, however, after a relatively short investigation, we have yet to locate the beach you mentioned."

I grew up poor. Went to the military, got married, had kids. Built a stable life for us. Then I got injured and lost my career. Got out and life has been a roller coaster ever since.
Struggled financially for a while until 2020 when I was back paid 100k in disability benefits. Which I then invested and turned in to 500k. I paid off all my debt and bought a 725k house at 3%interest using the Va home loan.
Continued investing and pretty soon turned that 500k in to 1 mil…. Life was finally amazing. It was everything I dreamed of. I got a taste of not having to worry about every day essentials. Affording to pay bills… etc. I looked towards my kids future.
To top it all off, between my job, disability, and using the GI bill I was making around 14k a month. Completely debt free other then 20k car loan and my home. Built my credit from 480 up to 700 from 2019 to 2021.
Oh man…
Having 1 mil in my brokerage and my success at trading made me think… well hey do wanna spend more time with my family + I have busted my ass for years never really getting to take a break. I wanted my wife to have some time for herself too as she had sacrificed immensely for me. I’ll just quit my job a lightly trade I thought.
This was a mistake. I did fine for a while, but hated withdrawing funds for bills. So I started over leveraging trying to make up for the withdraws. Started taking some losses. Hiding losses from my spouse.
I became obsessed, fixated on the market. Because I was lying to my spouse I became more and more withdrawn… spending less time with her
I somehow spent less time with my family being home all day then I did working full time and being in school full time. Things continued to get worse.
I started drinking more and more to mask my anxiety. I didn’t want to seem “off” so I drank to be normal. Pretty soon the million was down to 200k. I stopped paying the bills. Stopped paying house payments and we had financed 2 new cars. Stopped paying them.
Panic sets in and I can no longer contain it. I’m losing my mind. I tell my wife fearing she will leave me.
She consoles me. Tells me everything is going to be okay. But I am devastated and I can see the pain I have caused her… but I’m still a wreck.
She still had faith in me. I blew up my account on December 23 of 2021. She didn’t know.
I start taking out payday loans. I put our house loan on Covid forbearance. Continuing to spiral. My mental health was a shadow of what it had been. I had worked so hard on it and my recovery was the reason we even bounced back to where we were.
I continued to throw it all away.
I finally told her everything. She’s upset. She cries, throws things. But still… she stays for some reason. She still sees good in me even tho I have been a lying bastard… she calms me and helps me make a plan. She gets me back out in ti the world and I get a job.
Fast forward to this moment. I am 70k behind on my home loan. I owe 80k between our 2 vehicles. I have racked up a bunch of short term loans that have went to collections. I owe money to a few overdrawn bank and brokerage accounts… I have medical debt bc I wasn’t paying copays for my wife and kids appointments. My credit score is back down to 520.
After a year of being jobless I’m back at work in a different city and I drive home on the weekends and I’m back in school using GI bill for income… this going well for now
Until today… through everything I didn’t realize my car insurance lapsed a few months ago… today I was involved in an auto accident (my fault) I hit a parked truck on the side of the street on my way to work this morning. I just didn’t adjust, it was a wider f350… didn’t realize how close I was to it.
I stopped found the guy. My damages come to 3k (I need this vehicle) he filed a claim with his insurance. He gave them my info and he had uninsured motorist coverage. Now I’m afraid I won’t be able to get my policy back as he reported my info to his agency.
To top it all off my marriage is at an all time low, she doesn’t trust me (I don’t blame her).April 1 she’s supposed to completely take over the finances.
I haven’t told her about the insurance/accident yet.
I’m falling apart and idk what to do. I have contemplated suicide (I have a 1mil policy between work and Va and private).
In any case I’m between selling the house and taking the equity to ease us financially. Or file ch 13 and save the house and try to get some stability back for my wife and kids.
This is unbelievable, and has been a nightmare that I saw coming but I just didn’t/couldn’t stop.
I don’t know what to do. I’m so lost. I hate being away from them but I have to work. She’s overwhelmed taking on the burdens of everything ( we have no family help).
Every time I think things are gonna get better I’m reminded of just how big of a peace of shit I am.

2023.03.29 08:20 drillbitpdx Border Patrol detained me for about 10 minutes in Peace Arch Park
I parked on the street in Blaine, Washington, and walked into Peace Arch State Park.
I walked past a giant scary-looking Border Patrol truck, with three agents standing around bantering loudly. They ignored me.
Walked around for maybe 20 minutes, took a couple photos, read some historical signs, didn't cross the line into Canada. Then I was walking through the parking lot and stopped to read the sign about being required to check in at the Port of Entry if crossing the border. I was standing precisely 49.000854,-122.753228. (Again, I wasn't crossing the border 🤷🏻♂️)
Two of the BP officers called out to me to stop, which I did. They came over and started demanding ID, information about where I was coming from, etc.
We had a good little standoff for about 10 minutes where I explained that I had entered on foot from The US half an hour prior, declined to provide them with identifying information about myself, and repeatedly asked if I was free to go. They told me no, unsurprisingly.
Eventually I relented and showed them some ID, which they glanced at for 2 seconds and let me go.
Quite an unnerving and unpleasant experience. I can't imagine how much worse it might have been if I didn't have US ID right on me.

Platform(s): PC/Browser, I definitely played this on a desktop or laptop running Windows and didn't download anything.
Genre: Multiplayer Animal RPG/MMO
Estimated year of release: Late 2000s, but it's hard to say for sure
Graphics/art style: 2D, cartoonish.
Notable gameplay mechanics: It seemed to be somewhat like a Webkinz knock-off, but I distinctly remember being able to metal detect on the beach. It was multiplayer, but I don't remember many people every being on it at once. I also believe there was a mining activity, kind of like Webkinz but instead it was part of the map that you could point and click on, not a separate minigame.
Other details: It was in a similar style to Animal Jam, but less complete and detailed. Hi fellow Japanophiles! Heading for my 1st ever trip to Japan from 10 to 22 May, landing in KIX in Osaka and leaving from NRT in Tokyo. Would appreciate if anyone has any constructive comments in terms of feasibility, logistics, variety, interesting areas that I shldn't hv missed out, or places I had included that shldn't hv been bothered with at all.

We bring it in off site, walk it under ground to get it weird, let it marinade across the gravel, stop for a 2nd beer and a pee at the halfway porto, then...we win.
No free lot, no win.
I figured it out and nobody's taking this serious! Closing off the free lot is cursing us!!! The money we save on parking is placed upon alter to purchase 3 additional feel good fuel juices so we can cheer extra good. Nobody has been getting their walking beers in and its starting to show. 1st period tonight was a shit show, you could just feel it. Players are getting hurt because Caniacs aren't getting the exercise and hydration we need to perform out best and cheer our hardest.
You wanna finish the season strong? You wanna end those injuries....well we all know what to do and where we have to park...
I'm not saying I'm superstitious, but the few games I've paid to park this year including tonight have been ugly, ugly L's.
(Sorry for breaking the first rule of free lot...we don't talk about free lot...but we're at the point now it must be taken into consideration)!
