This isn’t some sketchy thing, but 100% applies to me.
I own a furniture company. We recently hired on employees and some box trucks for local town deliveries. Problem though is, new furniture hasn’t replaced the selling of my used furniture collection (I sell both new and pre-owned furniture). New furniture, people in that ecosystem are okay with sales tax. No issue. Pre-owned, we sell on OfferUp and Facebook marketplace, but NOBODY considers sales tax. You might say “just increase the price of the listing” in theory yes, reality no. A single $100-$200 can be the difference of people interested to nobody messaging.
Because I have to eat the cost of sales tax, because AZ doesn’t allow separation of freight cost, my “sales tax” is a lot higher due to it coming from my gross profit. AZ statutes code 15-5-133 has a law saying that if a business has a separate delivery charge for a tangible good, that is separate on the invoice, then delivery doesn’t get charged sales tax.
So, my devious little plan would be to open up a logistics company underneath my LLC, I’d have company (A) be retail, and company (B) be logistics. I would simply have the delivery fee to customers (both in advertisements and invoices) be my freight cost. That way my gross profit is truly only being taxed at the rate of 8.6% , but now it’s two companies potentially getting taxed for different reasons. So I was thinking of “private leasing” the vehicles from company A to company B, and the amount would be — my freight cost. That way company B shows no profit. Company B doesn’t pay taxes, and company A isn’t paying extra in sales tax by incurring the cost, since people on used/secondary markets aren’t willing to pay sales tax.
Is this legal? Not trying to intentionally break the law, but looking for any legal loophole to help me out.

Abstract

PURPOSE

To monitor the metabolic turnover of β-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) oxidation using² H-MRS in conjunction with intravenous administration of² H labeled BHB.

METHODS

Nine-month-old mice were infused with [3,4,4,4]-² H 4 -BHB (d 4 -BHB, 3.11 g/kg) through the tail vein using a bolus variable infusion rate for a period of 90 min. The labeling of downstream cerebral metabolites from the oxidative metabolism of d 4 -BHB was monitored using² H-MRS spectra acquired with a home-built² H surface coil on a 9.4T preclinical MR scanner with a temporal resolution of 6.25 min. An exponential model was fit to the BHB and glutamate/glutamine (Glx) turnover curves to determine rate constants of metabolite turnover and to aid in the visualization of metabolite time courses.

RESULTS

Deuterium label was incorporated into Glx from BHB metabolism through the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, with an increase in the level of [4,4]-² H 2 -Glx (d 2 -Glx) over time and reaching a quasi-steady state concentration of ∼0.6 ± 0.1 mM following 30 min of infusion. Complete oxidative metabolic breakdown of d 4 -BHB also resulted in the formation of semi-heavy water (HDO), with a four-fold (10.1 to ∼42.1 ± 7.3 mM) linear (R² = 0.998) increase in its concentration by the end of infusion. The rate constant of Glx turnover from d 4 -BHB metabolism was determined to be 0.034 ± 0.004 min^-1 .

CONCLUSION

² H-MRS can be used to monitor the cerebral metabolism of BHB with its deuterated form by measuring the downstream labeling of Glx. The integration of² H-MRS with deuterated BHB substrate provides an alternative and clinically promising MRS tool to detect neurometabolic fluxes in healthy and disease conditions.

Ironically I was singing along to the playlist I made when we broke up. Driving behind you gave me deja vu to all those nights we used to have.
I hope you had fun tonight, I secretly kept hoping you'd change your mind and show up, especially since I knew you were home, but really I knew you wouldn't. I was okay with that. It was a weird night anyway, I was with E and we had a blast, but it was still just strange energy in there.
Anyway, I guess really I'm just saying hi tonight. I woke up several times last night from dreams of you, which hasn't happened to that extent in a month or so, so that kind of sucked. More of me waking up and reaching for you, only to realize you're not there. In my dreams last night went differently, you gave me a second chance. In my dreams we actually spoke in the parking lot, and instead of an awkward, painful goodbye, it was like old times.
You and I had so, so much potential, and I'm sorry I seemed to have stopped seeing that when I ended things. I truly don't know what I was thinking. I spooked myself into thinking that you could never really love me, no one could, and that you'd be better off without me. Maybe you are, it's impossible to tell.

Unlike most other species, Humanity never once united when they claimed worlds beyond their home and were operating under nation-states. (Alternate homeworld, so not Earth.)
I am an artist who enjoys drawing my world, but I have a passion for writing it too (Which also serves as my greatest love so far.) In the form of stories and lorebooks.
War is common in my world, though, unlike 40k, I would say that my world has "Consistent" war but not endless war like 40k. (Which was the initial inspiration.)

Hello everyone, I am needing help searching for a game I hope I didn’t imagine. It is a 2010s flash pixel horror game (possibly created anywhere from 2012-2015) where you play as a kid who hears someone breaking into their house. The gameplay is kind of like a puzzle horror game where you place these home alone-esque traps around the house to fend off the home invademonster and then you would be able to proceed to another section of the house. I remember a section where the grandmother was in the house as well and needing to either help her or realize it was a trick set by the monstehome invader. In the end the police show up and are able to help the kid but I do remember the game having multiple endings to it with one of the endings being lore heavy (people being experimented on). I remember playing this game on a horror game website (could have been armor games or kongregate). If I remember more information I will try to add on. Thank you guys!

2 weeks ago I started a remote sales job. It's commission based. Before that, we had a 3 weeks training. Now the following 2 months, we are still trained and mentored close by. Which I think is necessary because we work remotely and is harder to get feedback from colleague's.
Now, surprisingly, the first week went well. I say this because in my team I'm the only one who's actually making sales. My supervisor was really rooting for me and saying I should be able to reach my goal. Now we are week 2 and things are just not moving anymore. Monday I fell sick, yesterday I started working again, not feeling 100% but I really wanted to reach my goal to get my bonus. But I'll probably lose my bonus and my paycheck will be significantly less then I was hoping for. I realize that that's how things go in sales. But I can't help to think, "was I just lucky to have those sales in the first week". It has demotivated me and I'm angry at myself for not feeling well. I know, it's only week 2. But can't help to think this way. I'm trying to motivate myself for today, I just want to be super positive before my shift starts and even if I don't reach my goal at the end of the month, at least I've shown I've tried.
It probably all has to do with the "new job-stress". But whoever has I idea's with how to positively handle setbacks like this, I'll be happy to take it with me for the future. I've never had a commission based job, so it's something new to get used to. How a bad day can influence your income so bad! It surprises me more then I had thought.
